BURTON, Douglas Graham

After a lengthy illness, on June 17, 2000 at St. Mary's of the Lake Hospital, in his 61st year.
He is survived by brothers Al (London); Tom (Peterborough); sisters Katherine Stinson (Kingston); Elsie McKague (Windsor); brother Ernie (B.C.); sister Judith and brother Donald.
Predeceased by sister Barbara.
Friends were received at the Central Chapel of the Gordon F. Tompkins Funeral Homes, 49 Colborne Street (at Clergy) on Monday, June 19, 2000.
Reverend Bill Bickford officiated.
For those who wish, donations to the Kingston Humane Society would be appreciated.

DONNELLY, Helen M.F.

After a courageous battle at Perth Hospital on Monday, June 19, 2000.
Helen Donnelly (Walsh) of Westport in her 64th year.
Dear wife of Ervin Donnelly.
Beloved mother of Kathy and Peter Noonan, Perth; Connie and Rodger Norris, Westport; Clarence and Debbie Donnelly, Westport; Jimmy and Janene Donnelly, Westport. Fondly remembered by grandchildren Jason and Jeffery Norris and Melissa, Kimberly and Marcie Donnelly.
Loving sister of Eddie Walsh, Kingston; Marjorie Norwood, Westport; Janet Ryder, Perth Road.
Sadly missed by several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by two brothers Orval and Donnie Walsh.
Resting at Lyons Funeral Home, Westport Wednesday, June 21st 2-5 and 7-9 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday 10 a.m. at St. Edward's Church, Westport.
Interment St. Edward's cemetery.
Donations to Kingston Regional Cancer Center, Westport Fire Department or Perth Hospital would be appreciated by the family. 103889

SMITH, Marc Leonard (Dr.)

Marc died peacefully on June 19, 2000 in Toronto, after a prolonged illness at the age of 31.
Marc is survived by his wife, Dr. Janice Kwon, his mother, Marthe and his brothers, Joe (wife, Joanne); Paul and his sister Monique.
He is predeceased by his father Richard ("Dick") Smith.
He will be lovingly remembered by his many friends and family including his wife's family, Dr. Yul and Mrs. Kwon and Dr. Brian Kwon.
Marc graduated from St. Joseph's _ Scollard Hall (North Bay) in 1988 and Queen's Faculty of Medicine in 1994.
At the time he fell ill, he was completing his residency in Rehabilitation Medicine in Kingston.
After a long and courageous battle, he succumbed to aplastic anemia.
We will always remember his warm smile and sweet disposition.
Visitations will be held at McGuinty Funeral Home, North Bay on Wednesday, June 21 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m.
The Funeral Mass will be held at the Pro Cathedral of the Assumption, North Bay on Thursday, June 22 at 10:00 a.m.
A memorial service will be held in Kingston at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation - Bone Marrow Transplant Unit or to a Queen's Faculty of Medicine Bursary in his memory would be greatly appreciated.092072

SNOEK, Arida (Ada)

Peacefully, she went to be with her Lord on June 19, 2000 after a courageous 45 year struggle with M.S., in her 72nd year.
Loving wife of Hans Snoek, mother of Adriana and Dan Wyngaarden (Kingston), Johanna and Peter Stam (Gananoque), Henry and Wendy Snoek (Brampton). Loving Oma to Lisa, Laurie, Michelle; Cassandra, Ben, Hilarie; Ryan, Lindsay, Mark.
Survived by her brothers Koos and Ada DeGraaf (Holland), Jack and Kathy DeGraaf (Seeley's Bay), Huib and Anneka DeGraff (Holland).
Predeceased by brother Jaap and Lena DeGraaf (Holland).
Will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews and extended family.
The family will receive friends at the Robert J. Reid & Sons Funeral Home, 309 Johnson Street, on Thursday, June 22 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service at First Christian Reformed Church, 310 Kingscourt Avenue, on Friday, June 23 at 11 a.m.

Tallen (March 27, 2000); loving and devoted mother to Tracey McGinn (Rick), Tyler Tallen (Chris), Travis Tallen (Darlene), Larry Tallen and Anne Hull; dearly missed by her grandchildren; dear sister of Rita E. Walls of Kingston; predeceased by her three brothers Keith, Reg and Ron; fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews.

William Glenn Babcook

A lifelong resident of Frontenac County and longtime resident of the Hartington area, William passed away accidentally Saturday, September 30, 2000 at the age of 66. He was the son of the late Lloyd Goldie Babcook and Wilma Pearl Ruttan William thoroughly enjoyed the positions he held over the years as a farm worker. He was an outgoing gentleman and everybody's friend. He is survived by his sisters, Marie Quinn of Ingleside, Ontario and Ruth Shearing of Morrisburg, Ontario; brother-in-law Bill Shearing; a number of nieces, nephews, aunts, and cousins. Also mourned by Violet Babcock; her daughters, Audrey, Mary, Muriel, Faye and her sons Bill, Stan, Neil, Terry and their families. The funeral was held Wednesday October 4, 2000 with Pastor David Spurrell officiating. Pallbearers were Bill Babcock, Stan Babcock, Neil Babcock, Terry Babcock, Dwight Pero and Randy Quinn. Interment was at Harrowsmith cemetery. 016910
