HAWKINS, Hubert E. (Bert) Suddenly in Ottawa on April 13, 2001 at the age of 59. A long time teacher at Woodroffe High School in Ottawa. In recent years, Bert had retired to Vancouver, B.C. He is survived by his devoted wife and best friend Elizabeth and his loving sons Brian (Ines Havet) and Kenneth. Also survived by his much loved mother Mrs. Ruth Hawkins, sisters Peggy (Mrs. Paul Palmer) and Joan Hawkins (Gordon Haas), two nieces Sara (Mrs. Ken Baker) and Justine Hawkins-Haas, one nephew Adrian Hawkins-Haas and one great-nephew Riley Baker. He was predeceased by his father Hubert K. Hawkins. HENRY, Walter Kenneth Ken Henry died peacefully at the Ottawa Civic Hospital on Saturday, April 14, 2001 almost 83 years after his birth in Montreal. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife and friend for 50 years Marjorie (Baxter) and his sister Shirley Latchmore. He was a dear father of Cora Henry (Stephen Bettcher) and Karla Narraway (Jim Narraway) and will also be remembered fondly by his grandchildren Orion, Terralee and Cody. His carreer at Carleton University's Engineering Department, singing with the McCauley Choir in Ottawa and spending time creating homes in Pointe Claire, on the Rideau River and Ft. Myers Beach, Florida were memories he enjoyed in his retirement years. Family, friends and neighbours are asked to join us for a Memorial Service to celebrate Ken's life at the Chapel of the Kelly Funeral Home, 2313 Carling Avenue, Wednesday April 18 at 2 p.m. For those wishing a memorial donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by his family.
