O'CONNELL, Rose Marie In hospital, Saturday June 17, 2000 with her loving family at her side. Rose Marie age 60. Beloved wife of Joseph O'Connell. Devoted and dearly loved mother of Ciara and Reamonn. She will be fondly remembered by her sisters Patricia, Margret and Angela. Rose was a devoted member of the Good Shepherd Parish and the Catholic Womens' League. Rose was an incredibly generous, thoughtful spirit who touched the lives of everyone she came in contact with. She was a gifted listener who absorbed the sorrow and pain of others and gave back only love and understanding. Rose, your gentle eyes, open ears, soothing voice and angelic touch will be forever missed. Friends may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Home, 2370 St-Joseph Blvd., Orleans Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Wednesday to Good Shepherd's Church for Mass of Christian Funeral at 10 a.m. Cremation. In memoriam donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation appreciated. "The last Rose of Summer has faded and gone."

PACHECO-ARTIGA, Mirna Mrs. Mirna of Masson-Angers, passed away Thursday June 15, 2000 at the age of 40 years. Beloved wife of Jorge Alberto Artiga. Daughter of the late Roque Pacheco and Patrona Del Carmen Flores of Los Angeles. Dear mother of one son Jorge Alberto Artiga and one daughter Diana Carolina Artiga. She is also survived by her grandmother Ascension Chavez of El Salvador her mother-in-law Concepcion Artiga of El Salvador, four brothers Walter (Nancy Reddy), Oscar (Maritza Pacheco), Sergio (Rosario Pacheco), and Wilfredo (Elida Pacheco), sister Claudia Catalina Marquez, special aunt Esther Luis Ruiz, and brother-in-law Pablo Funes. She is also survived by many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews and many friends. A religious service will be held on Tuesday June 20, 2000 at 11 o'clock in Ange Gardens Church Masson-Angers followed by interment at the Parish cemetery. Visiting hours at the Brunet Funeral Home, 115 Maclaren Street East, Buckingham Sunday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 10, Monday 3 to 5 and 7 to 10, Tuesday starting at 9 a.m. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. A special thanks to Dr. Pierre Villemaire of Masson-Angers, Dr. Dave Stewart and the personnel at the General Hospital, Ottawa for the excellent care given to Mrs. Pacheco-Artiga. Loving father of Philip and his wife Rosemary, of Sault Ste. Marie, John and his wife Kim, of Kemptville, Valerie and her partner Desmond, of Ottawa and Karen and her husband Duke, of California. Cherished Grandfather of Harisen & Madisen. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street on Tuesday June 20th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday June 21 at 2:30 p.m. Reception to follow in the McGarry Family Reception Centre. A special thank-you to Dr. Eric Spindler and his staff at the Psychiatry Department of the Ottawa Civic Hospital. In lieu of flowers donation to the Perley Rideau Veteran's Health Centre or the Psychiatry Department of the Otawa Civic Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
