ALLISON - Mavis Evelyn of Blenheim passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 1999 at Blenheim Community Village. Born in Tilbury East Township, 77 years ago, daughter of the late John Stevenson and Martha Schivas. Her husband John Allan Allison died in 1985. She is survived by her daughters Shirley and Les Greenwood, Parkhill; Trish and Peter Kuijer, Blenheim; Granddaughters Laura and Jennifer Kuijer. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Predeceased by son Ronald and son-in-law Ken McIntyer. She is the last surviving member of her family also being predeceased by sisters Jessie Stevenson, Thelma Pollard, Audrey Bond and Jean Wilcox; brothers Wilfred, Gordon, James and John Stevenson. Resting at the J.L. Ford Funeral Home in Blenheim for visitation on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and where funeral service will take place on Friday at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Bruce Cook, Blenheim United Church officiating. Interment in South Park cemetery , St. Thomas. Memorials to the Alzheimers Society or Blenheim Community Village- Palliative Care Programme would be appreciated.

HETHERINGTON - At the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, November 3rd, 1999, Marian Hetherington R.N. of R.R.#1, Brownsville at the age of 72 years. Born September 6th, 1927 in Malahide Township, daughter of the late Frank Lindsay and the late former Marie Nelson. (Marian trained as a R.N. in St. Thomas and later nursed in Exeter where she was later, through proficiency and dedication was named Director of Nursing. She retired in 1964.) Much loved wife of thirty five years of Leo Hetherington. Dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Nancy and John Walters of Delmer, Leanne and Chris Burwell of R.R.#2, Tillsonburg. Proud grandmother of four grandchildren Michael and Tommy Walters, Adrienne and Emily Burwell. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Don and Kay Lindsay of New Sarum, Helen Small of Wallacetown and her late husband Donald Small and Ross Lindsay and his wife Dorothy of Springfield. Survived by a sister-in-law Muriel Nigh and her husband Harold. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by an infant brother Jack Lindsay. Funeral Service to be conducted at 1:00 p.m. in the Verhoeve Funeral Home Chapel, Tillsonburg by Rev. Dale Allison of the Brownsville United Church assisted by Rev. Keith Schwindt of the Bethel Temple, Tillsonburg. Interment will follow in the family plot in Tillsonburg cemetery. In Marian's memory, contributions to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
