BOIVIN, Lucien (Moe) Veteran, World War II Peacefully in hospital on Thursday, June 8th, 2000, after a courageous battle with cancer, Moe Boivin, age 79. Beloved husband of Rita DeGuise. Father of Diane, Lise (Larry), Gisele (Norm), Georges (Terri), all of Ottawa. Also survived by 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends. There will be no visitation. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 17th, 2000 at 11 a.m. at the Annunciation of The Lord Church, 2414 Ogilvie Road, Gloucester. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit of the Elisabeth Bruyere Health Centre. CROOK, George William Born September 15, 1918, died Dartmouth General Hospital June 13, 2000. Son of the late George and Veda (Mills) Crook. A life-long resident of Dartmouth, he joined the Army on the 1st day of World War Two and following his discharge, worked several years for Canada Post. He joined the staff of the City of Dartmouth Engineering Department and retired after 32 years service. He was a volunteer with the Dartmouth Fire Department and was honoured on his retirement after 24 years service. He enjoyed singing and was a former member of both Christ Church and Emmanuel Anglican Choirs. Keenly interested in all sports he was an enthusiastic bowler. His main hobby was stamp collecting. Survived by Jean (Nickerson), loving wife of 52 years, son, James, Dartmouth, daughters Elizabeth (Marc Hemphill), Dartmouth and Margaret (Capt. James Simiana), Ottawa, Ontario. Predeceased by sister Grace Faulkner. Visitation at Mattatalls Funeral Home, 217 Portland St, Friday, June 16th, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Service to take place at Mattatalls on Saturday, June 17th, 2 p.m. Rev. Dennis Walsh officiating.
