LEVEQUE, Randy Bernard Suddenly, as the result of a tragic snowmobile accident on Sunday, December 24, 2000, at the age of 38 years. Cherished son of Janice Leveque and the late Gerald Leveque. Loving father of Brandi, Terrie, Hollie and Makayla. Dear brother of Colleen Schonauer (Mark), Cindy Klenke (Tom) and Nancy Tremblay (Dave) of Napanee. Loving uncle of Jessica, Kurtis, Kaitlyn, Kristopher, Denelle and Nicole. Randy will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by many friends. Predeceased by his brother Brian Gerald Leveque. In keeping with the family's wishes, there will be no visitation and cremation will be immediate. MOORE, Victor Campbell Suddenly at home on Saturday, December 30, 2000. Beloved husband of Kerstin Moore (Odemar) and dear father to Yan Moore of Toronto, and Catherine Keet of Kingston, Ontario. He will also be deeply missed by granddaughter Jessie Keet, and sister May Drought of Vernon, B.C., as well as his many friends. Born in 1918, Victor served with the Canadian Scottish Regiment (Princess Royals), the Canadian Scottish Regiment (Air Force), and the Seaforth Highlanders of Canada, and was mentioned in dispatches. He joined the Department of External Affairs as Foreign Service Officer in 1948. He served in a number of posts both at home and overseas, including as Acting High Commissioner in Karachi, (1960-62), charge d'affaires/Counsellor, The Hague (1962-65), Ambassador, Head of Canadian Delegation to the International Commission for Supervision and Control in Viet Nam, (1965-67), High Commissioner to Jamaica (1968-72) and Commissioner to Bahamas and Belize, High Commissioner to Zambia and Malawi and Ambassador to Mozambique (1976-79) and Deputy Commandant and Director of Studies, National Defence College, Kingston, where he served from 1979-83. He was a member of the Fort Frontenac Officers' Mess, Kingston, at the time of his death. Friends will be received at the Central Chapel of the Gordon F. Tompkins Funeral Homes, 49 Colborne Street (at Clergy) on Tuesday, January 2, 2001 between the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in Our Chapel Wednesday at 11 a.m. Cremation will follow with a memorial service planned in the spring. Stanley Malcolm Nuttall Of RR#1 Gananoque, passed away on June 5, 2000, at the Kingston General Hospital. He was 86. Stanley was born in Gananoque the son of the late Malcolm Nuttall and Ethel Todd and lived in the Gananoque area all his life. Stanley attended Southlake Public School (a one room school), and attended the Anglican Church. He was a farmer and a farm equipment mechanic. Stanley belonged to the Oddfellows Lodge No-114 Gananoque, and the Lavant Long Lake Hunt Club near Flower Station (40 years). He enjoyed having family and friends visit and had a very special interest in Genealogy. Stanley is survived by his son Tom, daughter Susan Curtis and husband Gary, sister Rita Webb and grandchildren Jill, Kent and Penny Curtis. He was predeceased by his wife Florence Haesler, brother Gerald Nuttall, sister Lena Fisher, sister-in-law Dora Wheeler and brother-in-law Ralph Haesler. The funeral was held on June 8, 2000. Rev. Caswell officiated. Pallbearers were Ben Nuttall, Samuel Nuttall, Lorne Fisher, Kent Curtis, Paul Breckenridge and Bruce Teepell. Interment Gananoque cemetery.007827

SLATER, Kenneth Allan passed away peacefully at the Kingston General Hospital with his family by his side early Wednesday morning, November 15, 2000 in his 80th year, after a lengthy illness. A long time City of Kingston employee with the Kingston Transit Commission and a Life Member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #560. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Aeldeth of Kingston, and five children: Barry (Joanne George), Sally (Keith Hawkins), Lenny (Linda Hill), Roseanne (Terry Hawkins) and Carrie-Lynn (Rob Holden). Sadly missed by his 7 grandchildren Tim Slater, Jeff and Lindsey McKegney, Ryan and Amy Hawkins, Kelly and Joe Hill and one great grandchild, Breanna.
