HOGAN, John Everett Died October 2nd, 2000. John had one brother, Joseph, who died in June 1998. John Hogan wrote several novels under the synonym of "Hogan & Lacey". He ran away to sea at the age of 15 to see the world, and that he did. He visited China, England, the Dutch West Indies, Europe and Panama. John joined the Michigan State Troops and then the Canadian Navy. When he returned to Windsor he joined the Windsor Police Department. After that he spent a few years in Guatemala, Salvador, Nicar-agua and Honduras before working on the Howard Hughes Estate in Florida. John met all of the notables such as Jane Fonda, Sammy Davis, Mohammed Ali, parents of the "Son of Sam", Walter Winchell and many others. His favourite spot was Bimini. John was single and lived in Windsor retiring from the Ministry of the Attorney General in the Court system of Windsor. After his father Jack died in July 1988, John lived with his mother, Jametta, until her death in April 1997. John and his beloved brother Joseph will now be together forever. John is survived by his only next of kin Sherron Hogan and a long time friend Lorraine Labute. "I died with my boots on."

MARKS, Jeane (nee Rogers) 76 years, on Wednesday, October 4, 2000 at Metropolitan Hospital. Late of Windsor. Dearest wife of the late Ernest Jackson "Jack" Marks. Loving mother of Barrie Marks & wife Darlene. Dear grandmother of Christine, Michelle and Kimberley and great-grandmother of Emily and Elizabeth. Jeane was a founding member of the Essex County Kennel Club and a lifetime member of the Canadian Kennel Club. MARTIN, Claudia T. (nee Simpson) passed away Friday October 6, 2000 at Hotel Dieu Hospital at the age of 80 years. Best friend of 63 years, and beloved wife of 56 years to Lawrence Martin. Dear mother of Carol and husband Ron Carley, of Windsor, Cathy and husband Roger Wilson of Kitchener, Larry and wife Carrie, David and wife Elaine, and Jim and wife Susan, all of Windsor. Dear grandmother of Greg and wife Kathy, Marnie, Jeremy and wife Martha, Eric, Larry, Christopher, Victoria, Alexander, Sara, Tyler and Andrew. Dear great grandmother of Corinne. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Martin was a Past President of the C.W.L. at Sacred Heart Church, and a Past President of The Women's Inter-Church Council of Greater Windsor, was a volunteer with the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre for twenty five years and the Hospice of Windsor for twelve years. PROKOPCHUK, Mary (nee Morash) Born December 6, 1918 in Calder, Sask. Died peacefully October 4, 2000 in Windsor, Ont. She leaves to mourn her loving husband Peter whom she married on October 11, 1941. Survived by son Eugene and daughter-in-law Beverly of Oakville, Daughter Margaret Hercia and son-in-law Dennis of Plano, Texas, granddaughter Karina Prokopchuk and grand son-in-law Michael Griffith of Mississauga. Granddaugther Alexis Prokopchuk of Oakville, grandson Johnathan Hercia of Plano, Texas. Dear sister of Peter and Vera Morash of Vernon, B.C., Nick Morash of Tecumseh, Rose and James Prokopetz of Windsor and Dorothy and John Martinuik of Yorkton, Sask. Pre-deceased by her brothers John Morash of Roblin, Man. and George Morash of Roblin, Man. Dear cousin of Olga Rurak of Tecumseh. She will be sadly missed by all her nieces and nephews. Mary was a long standing member of St. Vladimir's Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral. She was active and volunteered tirelessly. She was a member of The Ukrainian Women's Association of Canada, Lesia Ukrainka Branch. She served on The Museum Committee for many years, a member of The Zolata Zhota Ukrainian Senior Citizens Association. Mary also volunteered at The Red Cross, Canadian Cancer Society, Mother's March of Dimes, and numerous other charitable associations.
