At Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound on Monday, July 2, 2001 . Carson Baker of R.R. #7, Owen Sound in his 82nd year. Husband of the late Lorine (nee Weaver). Loved father of Carol and her husband Wayne Taylor of Dyers Bay , Brenda and her husband John Schweitzer of Waterloo , Dale Baker, Dawn and her husband Chris Schwellinger all of Owen Sound , Darrell and his wife Janet of Huntsville and Duane and his wife Sheila of R.R. #2, Kemble. Sadly missed by nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Predeceased by three sisters Florence Creigh, Gertrude Ireland and Grace Edmunds and three brothers Russell, Richard and Melvin. A private family service will be held with interment in Mt. Pleasant cemetery . At Summit Place on Wednesday, June 27, 2001. Helen Cook (nee Bumstead) of Owen Sound in her 80th year. Beloved wife of Gordon Cook. Dear sister of Muriel Kivell and Eva and her husband Percy Cranney all of Owen Sound. She will be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews. Predeceased by two brothers Rae and Leslie Bumstead and her brother-in-law Kitchener Kivell. Lovingly remembered by three grandchildren, Abigail, Lydia and Nyree. Following cremation a celebration of life memorial service will be announced at a later date. Loved father of Helen and her husband Dr. Norman Wilson of LaSalle, Jim and his wife Nora of Corunna and Catharine and her husband Lyle Gauley of Burlington. Sadly missed by nine grandchildren Russell and his wife Christine, Peter, Janet, Brent and his wife Antoinette, Rob and his wife Tanya, Katie, Dylan, Alex and Patrick and three great grandchildren Spencer, Sarah and Matthew. Also survived by his sisters Edith Harrison of Listowel and Margaret Howe of Pt. Elgin, his brother Murray of Goderich, his brother-in-law George Switzer and his wife Gladys, and sisters-in-law Marjorie Gowe and Donelda Switzer. Predeceased by six brothers Harvey, Walter, Clifford, Elroy, Jack and Bob. Lou was the Director of Education for Grey County until his retirement in 1974. He was an active member and a past president of the Owen Sound Kiwanis Club, a long time member of Division St. United Church and also belonged to the Owen Sound Golf and Country Club, Grey Granite Club and the Georgian Yacht Club. Sadly missed by thirteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Also survived by one brother Crawford and his wife May and two sisters June McCartney and Freda and her husband John Mole all of Owen Sound . Predeceased by two brothers Max and Vic and a sister Melveena Wardrop. Predeceased by her daughter Lynda in 1973. Hutchison, Jean Irene (nee Crawford) At Kensington Village , London on Tuesday, January 15, 2002 in her 92nd year. Daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Crawford. Predeceased by her husband, James Hutchison. She was a graduate of the O.S.C.V.I. and of the Stratford Teachers College . Mrs. Hutchison received her music supervisor s degree from the University of Western Ontario . Subsequently, she pioneered in the teaching of music in rural schools in the Grey Bruce Area. Mrs. Hutchison is survived by one son David of Toronto and a daughter Peg Arntfield of London . Also surviving are three grandsons, David, Michael and Robert Arntfield. A private family service will be held with interment in the family plot at Greenwood cemetery , Owen Sound . Special thanks to all the staff at Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound and to all the volunteers and staff at Kensington Village in London . Grandmother of Shane and Ryan Lee, Philip Knapp and Lynn, Jennifer and Kimberly Antti. Also survived by ten great grandchildren. Predeceased by her brother George Michael formerly of Thornbury. Elsie Cook is remembered from her teaching days at Strathcona and Bayview Schools in Owen Sound.
