MORGAN, Audrey Amelia (nee Shaw) passed away peacefully at Malden Park Continuing Care Center in Windsor at the age of 94 years on September 12, 2002. Wife of the late William Titus Morgan (2002). Dear aunt to Dorothy & husband Harold Demarce, Diana & the late Bill Elvidge, Betty-Lou and the late Jerry Bennett. Audrey will be dearly missed by many great nieces and nephews & those who knew her as grandma. Dear friend to Shirley & Miles Thurston and family. Predeceased by brother Herbert, & sisters Ida, & Lou. The family would like to take this opportunity to thank the Dr. s and nurses who gave such loving & tender care during Audrey s stay in the Alzheimer s Section at Malden Center. Visiting at the Stewart L Kennedy Funeral Home, 128 Talbot Street N., Essex, (776-7378) on Sunday, September 15, 2002, from 2 to 5 PM, and 7 to 9PM. Funeral service to be held in the funeral home on Monday September 16, 2002, at 11,00 AM Rev. Dana Rogers officiating. Interment in Evergreen Memorial Park, Leamington. Dear uncle to Dorothy & husband Harold Demarce, Diana & the late Bill Elvidge, Betty-Lou and the late Jerry Bennett. Bill will be dearly missed by many nieces & nephews & grandchildren. Dear friend to Shirley & Miles Thurston and family. Predeceased by brothers George & Jack. Bill was a veteran of WWII, and life member of the Essex Horticultural Society, and member of the I.O.O.F. Visiting at the Stewart L. Kennedy Funeral Home, 128 Talbot St. N., Essex, (776-7378), on Sunday from 2 5 PM and 7 9 PM. Funeral service to be held at the funeral home on Monday, August 19, 2002 at 10,00 am. Rev. Theron Buchanan officiating. Interment in Evergreen Memorial cemetery , Leamington. R.C.L. service to be held at 8,00 PM on Sunday followed by Oddfellow services at 8,30 PM. Donations to the Alzheimer s Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Survived by sisters Jean Taylor of Leamington, Ruby Ludke of Cottam, and Betty & husband Steve Szuch of Harrow. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. Marie was a 30 year plus, employee of Hiram Walkers Distillers in Windsor. Predeceased by one sister Mrs. Ethel Lane of Wheatley (1999. Scott, Phyllis Marion

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Phyllis Marion Scott, on September 4, 2002 at the Windsor Regional Hospital Metropolitan Campus, with her family at her side at the age of 76 years. Loving mother of Kathi & Ralph Poupard, Tim & Lynne Scott, Anne & Ben Harrigan. Phyllis will be fondly remembered by her nine grandchildren, Jennifer, Nicole, Kristopher, Kaylan, Jodi, Ashley, Elise, Brittany, Callie and her cat "Patches". Dear sister of Irene & husband Herbert Todgham and Robert and his wife Marion Martin, sister-in-law of John & his wife Heather. Predeceased by her parents James & Gladys Martin. Also survived by many nieces and nephews, and will be missed by her dear friends. Phyllis was a dedicated secretary at Ruthven and Gosfield North Public Schools, retiring in 1991. She volunteered her services for 40 years with the Cottam Girl Guides and Brownies. Mom will now be able to listen to the sweet sound of the loons, the chatter of the chipmunks and squirrels and will be with her favorite surroundings at her cottage on Skeleton Lake in Muskoka. Family and friends may gather at the Stewart L Kennedy Funeral Home, 128 Talbot St. N. Essex (776-7378)on Saturday, September 7, 2002, from 2,00 PM until time of memorial service at 4,00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Arthritis Society of Canada or the Girl Guides of Canada.

Tait, Stuart after a courageous battle with Leukemia on Tuesday August 27, 2002 at the Hotel Dieu Hospital. Late of Essex. Beloved husband of 48 years to Rita. Loving father of Michael and his wife Betty and Sandy Williams and her husband Jack, all of Windsor. Cherished grandfather of Dana, Katie, Michael, Chris, John and Elizabeth. Dear brother of Russell and his wife Sarah of Florida. Stuart was a Staff Sargeant with the U.S. Air Force from 1951 1955. Since his retirement from A.N.R. Stuart was actively involved with Citizens Advocacy of Windsor & Essex. Visiting at the Reid Funeral Home, 87 Maidstone Avenue East, Essex (776-4233) on Thursday from 7-9 pm and Friday 2-5 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service to celebrate Stuart s life from the funeral home on Saturday August 31, 2002 at 11,00 am. Rev. George Cox officiating. If desired the family would appreciate donations to the Citizens Advocacy. Many thanks to the Nurses on the 8th floor of Hotel Dieu Hospital for their care and kindness.

Ure, Elmer David

URE, Elmer David, was received peacefully into the arms of Jesus with all his family present, circled around him in prayer, on September 18, 2002 at Windsor Regional Hospital Met Campus, at the age of 91 years. Late of Sandwich South Township. Husband of the Late Doris (1980) (nee McLeod). Dear friend of the late Mary Brown. Beloved friend of Frances Brand. Loving father to Roger & wife Joy, Edward (Ted) & wife Arlene, and Lynn Delisle. Proud grandfather to Randy, & Laurie, Michael & Warren Benn, Daniel, Leah & Robert Johnston, Dana, Tara, Peter, Kristen. Proud great grandfather to David, Michael, Christina, Brittany, Taylor & Sy. Elmer was a lifelong farmer on Balseline Road of Sandwich South Township. In the early 1940 s he became a director with the Essex County Milk Producers Association for which he served for 20 years including the position of Vice Chairman. The Dairy Herd Improvement Association has Elmer as one of its original members and he realized the value that this organization would have in the betterment of the dairy industry. In 1945 he was one of the five founding directors of the Essex County Cattle Breeders Association, for the express purpose of improving the type and quality of dairy breeds in Essex County. Elmer served as President for 12 years with the Western Ontario Breeders Inc., Board and was recognized for 24 years of valued service. He was also a member of Holstein Canada and a director with the Essex County Club in the 1950 s. In later years he entered into a hog operation with his son Ted. In the larger community, he served as Sunday school teacher and superintendent, Pastoral Charge Treasurer and Steward of Bethel-Maidstone United Church. He was also active as a school board trustee for 12 years and spent 14 years on Sandwich South Township Council. In 1984 he was awarded the Bicentennial Certificate of Merit from the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and Food. In 1996 Elmer was inducted into the Essex County Agriculture Hall of Fame. Visiting at the Stewart L Kennedy Funeral Home, 128 Talbot St. N., Essex (776-7378) on Thursday evening, September 18, from 7 to 9 PM., & Friday, 2 to 5 PM & 7 to 9PM. Family and friends are asked to gather at Bethel-Maidstone United Church on Saturday, September 21, 2002 from 9,30 AM until time of funeral service at 10,30 AM. Rev. Brenda Woodall officiating. Interment in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Oldcastle. Donations to the Lung Association, or Bethel-Maidstone Building Fund, or the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Loving grandmother of Alex 8, Tricia 3, and Andrew 9. Great grandmother of Sydney 11 months and Jacob 5. Also survived by her mother Alice Hickey, many brothers & sisters, nieces and nephews. Hill, Alice (nee Phillips). Born April 12, 1915, passed away Thursday, August 8, 2002 at the age of 87 at Country Village Nursing Home. Alice was born in Tilbury East Township, but has resided in Essex since 1945. Beloved wife of the late Russell (1976). Loving mother of Richard Hill, Lower Sackville; Ron Hill, Caledonia; Marilyn Bondy and husband Ron, Essex; Carol Eberle and husband Allan, Windsor. Dearest grandmother of 16 and great grandmother of 17. Several cherished nieces, nephews, and friends also survive. Alice was the last of 13 children of Lillian and John Phillips. Alice was a past president of the Catholic Women s League of Holy Name of Jesus Parish. Visiting at the Reid Funeral Home, 87 Maidstone Avenue East, Essex (776-4233) on Sunday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass to celebrate Alice s life on Monday, August 12, 2002 from Holy Name of Jesus Church, Essex at 9,30 a.m. Fr.
