Dear father of Ruth Ann, Leamington; Bonnie Bondy and husband Bryan, Windsor; Gary and friend Diane, Leamington; Linda Pilon and husband John, Cathy, all of Windsor; Walt Jr. and wife Laurie, Leamington; Robert, Windsor. Loving grandfather of 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Dear brother of James and Anne Chernecki, Michael Cherneski, all of Toronto; Leona and Gill Connors, Burlington. Predeceased by 2 brothers, Joseph (2002), Leonard and 1 sister, Shirley. Visiting at the Reid Funeral Home 14 Russell Street, Leamington on Monday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to celebrate Walter's life from the Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 5, 2002 at 11 a.m. Interment Evergreen Memorial cemetery , Leamington. Ciliska, Rose (Rosie) (nee Lamotte), went to be with her Lord, surrounded by her loving family in the Serenity Room of the Leamington District Memorial Hospital on Thursday, December 19, 2002. Beloved Wife and best friend for over 54 years of Ralph. Loving Mother of Jean and her husband Rex Payne, Orillia ; Barbara and her husband Joe Evans, Scarborough ; Janet and her husband Dave Dawson, Leamington ; Jim and his wife Bonnie (Coulter), Wheatley; Brenda and her husband Gord Jones, Kingsville . Special Grandmother to Jacob and Kim Payne, Ben Payne, Samara and Trevor Evans, Marcie and Nelson Resendes, Michelle and Mark Dawson, Chrissy and Nikki Ciliska, Brad and Lindsay Jones and Great Grandmother of Zachary Tristan Payne. Special sister to Rita Impens and her husband Charles, Marion Howe and her late husband Joe, Leamington; Theresa Bonyai and her husband Joe, Wyandotte, Michigan; Florence Impens and her late husband Ferdinand, Maurice Lamotte, Leamington; Ted Lamotte and his wife Annette, Wheatley; Catherine Balsam and her husband Walter, Joe Lamotte and his wife Nola, Leamington. Also survived by Ella Lamotte, Windsor; Doreen and Jacob Dech, Grand Bend. Many nieces and nephews also survive. Predeceased by her parents, Frank and Charlotte Lamotte, and two brothers, Ernest and Henry. Rosie was an active member of the Leamington United Church and it s U.C.W. before suffering from her illness some 31/2 years ago. Visiting at the Reid Funeral Home 14 Russell Street, Leamington on Sunday 2-5 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to celebrate Rosie s life from the Funeral Home on Monday, December 23, 2002 at 11a.m. Rev. Cosens, Valerie Kay. 32 years, passed away surrounded by her family, Thursday, October 24, 2002 at Windsor Regional Hospital, Metropolitan Campus. Late of Toronto and formerly of McGregor. Loving daughter of Josie and Walter Cosens, McGregor. Beloved sister of Sally Jo Cosens and friend Shawn, Windsor; Lori Lee Pouget and husband Tony, Leamington and the late Michelle Susan Cosens. Valerie will be sadly missed by nieces Amanda Dawn Cosens Meloche and Yvette Ashley Pouget. Many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends survive. Valerie was a designer at Apotex Inc. and enjoyed running for various charitable organizations. Loving grandmother of James Pews and friend Cathy Vieira, Palm Coast, Fla.; John Pews and wife Carole, Miami Lakes, Fla.; Judith and husband Michael Mizeur, Morrisville, North Carolina; Dylan James Langan and Katie Agnes Langan, Cambridge,ON. Dear great grandmother of Haley Pews, Benjamin Mizeur, Luis Perez and wife Jenny and great great grandmother of Melanie Perez. Dear sister-in-law of Mackay Matheson, Rosemary Stickles and Lois Wilkinson, all of Leamington. Lovingly remembered by Gayle Bilyck, Marlene Ware, and her nieces and nephews. Dear mother of Norma Sadler and husband Frank, Leamington; Vida Winans, Kingsville; Verna Ingratta and husband Ralph, Leamington. Loving grandmother of Linda and Henry Guldie, Amherstburg; Kenneth and Janice Sadler, Newmarket; Lori and Kevin Briand, LaSalle; Brian and Sandra Ingratta, Mississauga and great grandmother of Bryana Issell, Lindsay Sadler, Daniel Sadler, Ryan and Derek Guldie, Karen and Jeff Ferguson, Shelby Rae Briand. Many nieces and nephews also survive. Predeceased by 1 brother John Collard (1972) and by 6 sisters Blanche Quick (1965), Della Moore (1969), Theresa Brown (1977), Elizabeth Manchester (1980), Alma Reid (1994), Grace Quick (2000). Alva is also survived by her trusting and faithful dog, Duke. Anders, Eunice Biggar

Date of Death: February 11th 2003
Eunice Biggar Anders, 84, of Leamington, died February 11, 2003. She was the wife of the late Franklin O. Anders (1994). Born in Windsor, Ontario, daughter of Thomas and Mary Biggar, Eunice was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin in 1939. She and her husband owned and operated Point Pelee Orchards. Eunice is survived by her son Franklin H. and daughter-in-law Barbara of Danbury, Connecticut, and her daughter Mary and son-in-law David Hutchings of Cairo, Egypt. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her elder daughter Martha (1990). She also leaves grandson Franklin J. and his wife Theresa of Walnut Creek, California, granddaughter Catherine Anders of Richmond, Virginia and grandson John Hutchings of Montreal. Eunice was a weaver and charter member of both the Leamington Weavers Guild (1953) and the Ontario Handweavers and Spinners (1955). She was President of the Ontario Handweavers and Spinners from 1967-1969. A gifted artist, her award winning weaving was shown at the International Exposition held in Brussels in 1958. Her weaving was also exhibited in galleries throughout Ontario, Michigan and as far west as Seattle, Washington culminating in her one-woman exhibition at The Art Gallery of Windsor in 1983.
Eunice was also an accomplished musician, playing the organ at St. John's Anglican Church as well as the Christian Science Church for many years. She was a long time patron of the Leamington Choral Society. At Eunice's request there will be no funeral service. The family will receive friends at the Reid Funeral Home 14 Russell Street, Leamington on Friday, February 14 from 7 to 9p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sun Parlor Home for Senior Citizens, 175 Talbot Street East, Leamington, Ont. N8H 1L9.

Baker, Dorothy Mina

Baker, Dorothy Mina (nee Myers) after a courageous battle with cancer, passed away in her 77th year on Wednesday, January 22, 2003 at Leamington District Memorial Hospital. Beloved wife of the late Sidney Baker (July 2002). Dearest mother of John and wife Barbara, Ruthven; Richard, Richmond Hill and the late Wendy Lue (1976). Loving grandmother of Pamela, Michael and Gregory. Visiting at the Reid Funeral Home 14 Russell Street, Leamington on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to celebrate Dorothy s life from the Funeral Home on Saturday, January 25, 2002 at 1 p.m. Rev. Liz Chaplin officiating. Following cremation, interment to be held at the Baker Family cemetery , Carville Road, Richmond Hill. Memorial donations made by cheque to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

Brown, Frederick George William

Brown, Frederick George William, it is with great sadness that we mourn the passing of our beloved father, on Saturday February 1, 2003 at Leamington Hospital at the age of 79 years. Late of Union Road, Ruthven. Beloved husband of the late Ellen Brown (1993). Survived by his loving daughters Debbie and Karen, both at home; Michelle and Dennis Dault, Leamington; Dodi and George Johnston, Kingsville; Kim and Bert Tavares, Ruthven; Pam and Rick Kirchhoefer, Carol and Randy Stroud, all of Wheatley; Georgia and Raymond Azar, Leamington. Fred and Ellen had 15 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter who loved them both very much. Fred is also survived by sisters Eileen Hartford and husband Murray, Ruthven; Audrey Ricker and husband Kaye, London and by many nieces and nephews. Fred was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He retired from Armstrong Produce in 1986. Visiting at the Reid Funeral Home, 14 Russell Street Leamington on Sunday 7-9 p.m. and on Monday 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to celebrate Fred s life from the funeral home on Tuesday February 4, 2003 at 11 a.m. Linda Blair officiating.
