Nicolson, Vivian Avis July 5, 1915 – August 15, 2002 With the same courage and dignity with which she lived, Vivian passed away at Summit Place Lodge. Predeceased by her husband William Nicolson. She will be forever missed by her daughter Beverly and son-in-law Ross Trask; sister Anne Ratcliffe; and friend Terry O’Brien. She will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. A heartfelt thank you to Summit Place and Dr. Tweedie for their compassion and tender care during her illness. Jack Fearnall officiating. A memorial service and interment will follow at Rideau Gardens in Montreal August 24th at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, G.B.R.H.C. Foundation or the University of Guelph Pet Trust would be appreciated.

Parkes, Rae Anna At Central Place Retirement Place on Wednesday, August 28, 2002. Rae Anna Parkes (nee St. James) of Owen Sound in her 98th year. Wife of the late Charles Parkes. Dear mother of Alan Parkes and his wife Reta of Owen Sound. Daughter in law of Ileana Parkes of Edmonton, Alberta. Lovingly remembered by six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her son Roy Edwin Parkes, a brother Joe St. James, two sisters Ida Munkittrick and Virginia Ewing and two grandsons. Private family arrangements have been held. Following cremation, interment will take place at Woodlawn Park cemetery in Miami, Florida.

Sadly missed by her grandchildren, great grandchildren and her great great grandchildren. Also survived by her daughter in law June McCartney of Owen Sound. Predeceased by her son Stuart McCartney, sons in law Fred Acton and Roy Weppler, six brothers and five sisters. Sadly missed by 15 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Lovingly remembered by sisters in law Thelma Gordanier and Dorothy Gordanier and her brother in law, Arnold Smith. Granddaughter of Edith Stoakley of Owen Sound. Also remembered by her many Aunts, Uncles and Nieces and Nephew. Predeceased by her grandparents, Winford and Lauclina Waite and Arnold Stoakley.
