Craddock, Ernest Andrew. Peacefully at Leisure Living on Sunday January 19, 2003. Ernie Craddock of Jarvis, at the age of 79 years. Husband of the late Ruth (Phibbs) Craddock (Oct. 2, 2000 ). Dear father and grandfather of Dennis and Ellen (Megan), Nancy and Larry Stallwood (Lori and Rob Mehlenbacher and Wray) and Sue and Bruce Duxbury (Lu-Ann and Andrew) all of Jarvis. Brother and brother -in-law of Roy and Lois Craddock of Jarvis and the late Audrey and Harold Vokes, Eileen and Roy Doughty, Bill and Helen Phibbs, Tom and Marlene Phibbs, Muriel Phibbs, Betty Phibbs, Blanche Phibbs and the late Keith, Jack, Rex, Don Phibbs and Olive Kindree. Ernie's love of his community was shown by his involvement as he served as Reeve of Jarvis, Warden of Haldimand County, and fraternally as a member of Jarvis, I.O.O.F. #191 and King Solomon Lodge #329 (32nd degree) and by serving his country during W.W.11 overseas. Ernie was also Jarvis' citizen of the year in 1984. Ernie and brother in law Don Phibbs established Craddock & Phibbs Garage in 1946. Loving grandmother of 9 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren. Sister of Mary Crane, Esther and Bert Hansell and Herb and Audrey Teal. Grant was a student of underwater studies at Seneca College and was an explorer of many things including animals and minerals. Harold is survived by his sister-in-law Ann Rogerson, brother Ernest Styler of B.C. and by nephews and nieces. Predeceased by brothers Walter Rogerson, William Styler and sister Dorothy Tizzard. Harold was a long-time memberof the Salvation Army Mountain Citadel Corps and a retired employee of Slater Steel.
