Frank Stepec

Peacefully with his family by his side on Aug 7, 2006 in his 84th year. Beloved husband of Katarina of 54 years. Loving father of Frank (Lisa), Marija (John), Katarina (Steve) and the late John. Proud Grandpa of Josie, Bill, Daniela, Giancarlo and Sarah. Devoted brother of Pavel of Sudbury, Rozalija of Slovenia, Ana of Toronto, Lojska of Barrie, and the late Miha of Slovenia. Fondly remembered by many family and friends. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of Frank s Life will be held at Our Lady Of The Miraculous Medal Slovenian Catholic Church (739 Brown s Line in Etobicoke) on Thursday, August 10, 2006 at 10 a.m. The family would also like to extend special thanks to the staff of 5C Medicine at THC for all their kindness, caring and compassion. Maria (nee Hudovernik) Gustaw

Peacefully, passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2006 after a lengthy illness in her 84th year. Predeceased by her husband Bruno and son Robert. She will be missed by her brothers Leo (Silva) and Blaz. Aunt to Helen, Mimi, James and Stephen. She will also be remembered by family in Slovenija. Eleanor Cummings Lochrie

It is with great sadness the family announce the passing of their mother and grandmother on Monday, August 14, 2006 at Trillium Health Centre, Mississauga. Dear Mother to Ian and Tom (Michelle). Anne Ruth Lesnick (nee Pavlik)

After a short battle with leukaemia, died peacefully on Monday, August 14, 2006 at Princess Margaret Hospital in her 78th year. Beloved wife of her late husband George. Most loving and best mother in the whole world of Georgia (Uwe, deceased) Volker, Valerie (Bernie, deceased) Filip and Mark. Cherished and deeply loved Baba of Allan and Katrina. Dear sister of Mary (Maurice) Switzer of North Bay, and nieces Andrea (Frank) Zimperi, their daughter Bianca, and Lisa Doracka of Timmins. Born in Jakusovce, Czechoslovakia, Anne and her family visited her many relatives in the summer of 2005, and leaves a very large family to mourn her passing, but lovingly remembering her incredible zest for life, laughter and love. Special thanks to all the staff at Princess Margaret Hospital for their love, care, compassion and empathy. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Tuesday, August 22 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Ridley Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, August 23, 2006 at 1 p.m. A celebration of Anne s wonderful life will follow at Hollywood on the Queensway. Alice Maud Kovac (nee Chidley)

Peacefully on Tuesday, August 15th in her 92nd year. Predeceased by husband Raymond Walshe, second husband Joseph Kovac, companion Harry Day, brothers Herbert and George Chidley and her niece Carol Chidley. Cherished by surviving brother Raymond Chidley. She will be sadly missed by her long-time friend, Vinnie Nivens, sister-in-law Evelyn Chidley. Loving aunt to Sheila and Andrew Bilicki; Roberta Ayton and Craig Archibald and family; Paul and Gail Chidley and daughter; David and Doreen Chidley and children; Sandra and David Thompson and children; Patricia Ranzan and family; and nephew Alen McCormick. Maud worked for many years at Goodyear, and Abitibi. Through the depression, Maud supported the family through hard times. All the family will remember Maud s love of horses and the races at old Woodbine Racetrack. Thank you to Nurse Liz and caregivers at The Wexford for the many years of wonderful attentive care. A private family service was held at the Ridley Funeral Home.

Mary Perry

Peacefully, but suddenly Mary passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2006. Dear friend and soulmate to her husband Steve. She will always be remembered by her son Robert, daughter Debb and grandson A.J. Mary will be missed by her brothers, sisters, family and friends. Winnifred Alice Wishlow (nee Wilson)

Adam Christopher De Bonis
June 29, 1983 ~ November 5, 2006

Beloved son of Tony De Bonis and the late Kristy-Lee De Bonis. Cherished nephew of Shari Pitblado. Adam passed away suddenly and unexpectedly breaking the hearts of all who knew him. To know him was to love him. Left to mourn are his maternal Auntie Karen (Andrew) Ludwig, Dylan and Danielle, Uncle Jeff (Beth) Pitblado, Jared and Simon. In grief and disbelief are his cousin Michael Alexander, cousin and best friend Lindsay Alexander. Predeceased by Auntie Pam Pitblado Alexander, Nana Doris Carter and Papa David Pitblado. Left to mourn on Adam s paternal side are Nani Marie Marsili, Grandpa Nicholas (Lillian) De Bonis, Aunt Victoria (Pat) O Neil, Patrick and Roisine, Aunt Gloria (Stan) Wells, Jennifer, Stephanie, Vicky and Jason, Uncle Joe (Theresa) De Bonis, Uncle Nick (Carmen) De Bonis, Amanda and Kevin. Adam finally found his path in life education. Just as he was finding self-fulfilment and enlightenment, his life journey was cut short. We all miss you kiddo, love you forever. passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, November 9, 2006. Beloved wife of the late Harvey McCrindle. Peacefully on Thursday, November 16, 2006, at the McCall Center, Mississauga, Ontario, in his 85th year, pre-deceased by his wife Sally (Mussat). Father of Jim and his wife Hilda of Prince Edward Island and Alan of British Columbia. Grandfather of Catherine, Scott and Peter. Gerhard Gerry Gayk

Born February 16, 1927, Gerry passed away suddenly and unexpectedly November 16, 2006. Survived by his wife, Lisa, and their children and families: Mercedes, Alexandre and Kirsten (Quebec City); Corina, Ivor, Adam, Owen and Nikolas (New York); and Nikolette, Joerg, Aicha and Aidan (Germany). Gerry immigrated to Canada in 1954. He worked for Shell Canada for many years. He loved spending time with his family and friends, sailing and travelling. He always had time for a kind word or a quick chat. Gerry will be sorely missed. We wish him steady winds and smooth waters on this last journey. There will be a Celebration of his Life on Friday, November 24 at Lakeshore Yacht Club clubhouse (76 Colonel Samuel Smith Park Drive) from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations toward a memorial bench overlooking the lake may be made to the Gerry Gayk Memorial Bench Fund c/o C.I.B.C., Thorncrest Plaza Branch at 1500 Islington Ave. Toronto.
