Peacefully, with family by her side at the Lennox and Addington County Hospital in Napanee on Tuesday, May 3, 2011. Doreen lost her battle with cancer. She leaves behind her partner and soul mate Doug Lakins, her loving son Douglas Maskell and his wife Lynne Acri and her grand-daughters Hayley and Adrianna of Caledon East. Survived by her sisters Aileen McGregor (James) of London; Anne Vine; Gwen Maskell (Bryan Marshall) and Grace Maskell of Kingston. Predeceased by her parents Betty and Jim Maskell; her sister Susie Van Alystine and brothers Eugene and James. Predeceased by her husband, Gerald Frederick Montgomery. Loving Mother of Trudy (Selim Ulug) and dear Grandmother of Kevin. Predeceased by sister Gertrude (Gert) Scarlett and brothers Herb, Clarence, Jack, Harry, Carl, Ernie and Tom. She will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews, and sisters-in-law Gena Butcher and Thelma Butcher.
