The Lord took unto Himself from St. Peter's Hospital Hamilton on Monday, January 5, 2004, his child Jackie after a long courageous battle with cancer at the age of 52 years. Beloved daughter of Peter Slootweg of Townsend and the late Antonia (1999). Dear sister of Gerard and Ann Slootweg of Mount Hope. Aunt of Pam and Ken Hessels, Peter and Kris Slootweg, Kimberly and Jeff Miedema and Jaret. Great aunt of Victoria, Dylan, Brendan, Sydney and Olivia. Filip came to Sarnia in December 1958 and was a member of Boilermaker's Union Local 128.
