Loving great aunt to Stephanie and Laurie Barlow, Lisa Irvine and great great aunt to Crystal and Kelly Irvine. Predeceased by her brother Murray Owen (1990) and a sister-in-law Ona Owen (1977). Born in Malahide Township on January 19, 1915 daughter of the late Arthur and Linda (Heaslip) Owen. Mildred was a member of the Aylmer Baptist Church, the W.A., the Terrace Lodge Drop-in-Centre and the Springfield Women’s Institute. A public memorial service will be held at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Tuesday, August 19, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior. Interment of ashes will follow at the Aylmer cemetery. Rev. Donald Graham, officiating. Smale - Wallace “Wally” “Waldo” of Port Stanley and formerly of Florida and St. Thomas, on Monday, August 18, 2003, surrounded by his loving family, in his 55th year. Dearly loved son of Williams “Bill” Smale and his partner Roen Caseau of St. Thomas and the late Elizabeth “Beth” (Williamson) Smale (1981) and dear brother of Neil Smale. Wally was known by his style, wit and humour and will be sadly missed by many friends and a number of cousins. Wally was born in St. Thomas on September 15, 1948. He lived in Florida the past 26 years. A service to celebrate the life of Wally will be held Thursday at 3:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas. Cremation has taken place. His ashes will be interred in the family plot in Elmdale cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home on Thursday from 2-3 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the St. Thomas-Elgin General Palliative Care Unit or charity of choice.

Jeff was born in St. Thomas, Ontario on April 3, 1959. He worked as an accountant for C.C.R.A. and was member of Our Lady of Sorrows Roman Catholic Church. Jeff played minor hockey in Aylmer and enjoyed playing old timers hockey and he was also an avid golfer. Friends may call at the H.A. Beloved wife of the late Blaz Belanic (1989). Loving mother of Nada with husband Nick Pozeg, Anna Spehar of St. Thomas, Janko Belanic, Ivan and his wife Barbara Belanic all of London, and Marcia and her husband Peter Vukobratovic of Croatia. She will be fondly remembered by grandchildren Sylvia with husband Jim, Mary-Ann, Marina with husband Paul, Milan, Irene, John with wife Christine, Daniel, Mario with wife Diana, Bernardo, Victor and Adam. Great grandchildren Nicole, Jimmy, Alen, Karlo, Jorden, Marcus and Abigale. Daughter of the late Rudolf and the late Dorothy Klobucar, Survived by her sister Barbara Kusevic of Croatia. Farrington - Edna (Ashworth) of R.R.#3, Shedden, on Thursday, August 21, 2003 at St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in her 84th year. Beloved wife of the late Walter Harold Farrington (August 30, 1989) and dearly loved mother of Patricia and her husband Brian Higgs of St. Thomas, Peggy and her husband Don Silcox of R.R.#3, Shedden, Bonnie and her husband Peter Hitchman of R.R.#3, Shedden and Ted and his wife Marilyn Farrington of R.R.#7, St. Thomas. Dear aunt of Joanne Willson as well as a number of other nieces and nephews. Sadly missed by 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was the last of her family. Edna was born in St. Thomas on December 14, 1919, the daughter of the late Fred and Lela (Forbes) Ashworth. She was a retired legal secretary and was of the Anglican Faith. A private family service will be held. Cremation, with the ashes to be interred in Cowal cemetery. No visitation. Fife - Margaret Geraldine (Annett) of R.R.#4, St. Thomas and formerly of Talbotville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 20th, 2003 at St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in her 76th year. Beloved wife of the late Stuart Fife and dearly loved mother of Lillian and her husband John Anderson and Liz and her husband Scott Barker all of St. Thomas. Loved grandmother of Katie and Becky Anderson and Nicole and Sarah Barker. Daughter of the late Jerry and Florence (Harvey) Annett. Dear sister of Jessie and her husband James Beharrell, Mary Chamberlain, Isabel and her husband Maurice McLachlin, Charles and his wife Anne Annett. Dear sister-in-law of Anna Jean Annett, Margaret and Gordon Lyle and Gladys Fife. Margaret was predeceased by her brother Jack, her brothers-in-law Clayton Chamberlain and Evan Fife, and her sister-in-law, Dorothy Smith and her husband Ray. Also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins. Margaret was a retired elementary school teacher. Following her retirement from teaching, she worked for Mental Health Elgin. Until recently Margaret was a receptionist at Williams Funeral Home. Margaret was an active member of Talbotville United Church where she belonged to The United Church Women, The Session and where she was the former Sunday School Superintendent. Margaret was also a member of the Retired Teachers Federation and The St. Thomas Seniors Centre. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas until Monday morning and then to Talbotville United Church for funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Stephen Iverson and Rev. John Brown officiating. Interment to follow at Union cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Donations may be made to the Talbotville United Church or the charity of choice.
