He was born to Donald Herbert Mackenzie and Annie Jane (Macdonald) Mackenzie.
He was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Margaret Jean (Mackenzie) Thompson.
He leaves behind his beloved wife and partner, M. Elaine (Chisholm) MacKenzie, their three sons, Allan K. (late Tracy), Scott C. (Marie Lefebvre), Donald K. (Erin), and three grandchildren, Alaina, Trent and Adam MacKenzie.
He is also survived by his brother-in-law W. Grant Thompson and first cousins, Doris (MacLaren) Jenkins, Marjorie (MacDonald) Read, Jack Pickets, Elaine (Pickets) Robinson, Anne (Pickets) Purcel, Darrel Pickets; nephews and nieces Andrew Thompson, Heather Marriott, Anne Thompson, Carole Thompson and Janet Asprey Sissons.
Resting at MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel. Funeral Tuesday from St. James Presbyterian Church at 2 p.m. Interment later in Sherwood Cemetery. The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Friday, March 6, 2015 of The Reverend Norman D. MacDougall of Charlottetown, age 82 years. Beloved husband of Shirley. Loving father of Ruth MacDougall, Janet MacDougall and Paul (Lauren) MacDougall. Grandad of Kate and Rachel Turner. Brother of Gordon (Betty) MacDougall. Predeceased by his son-in-law Alan Turner, his parents Neil and Catherine MacDougall, sisters Louise and MaryBelle (Bob) Goodwin and brothers George (Eleanore) and Neil Donald (in infancy). Brother-in-law of Isabel (the late Doug) Fletcher.
Norman was ordained in 1965 and served pastoral charges in Gysborough-Canso, Inverness-Guysborough Presbytery; Winsloe, PEI Presbytery; Upper Londonderry-Truro Presbytery; Waverley-Halifax Presbytery; Stellarton-Pictou Presbytery, Red Bank-Miramachi Presbytery, Trinity-Clifton, PEI Presbytery ; Bideford-Tyne Valley… PEI Presbytery; and Minister of Visitation for Mount Stewart-Morell-St. Peter’s Bay.
Resting at MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel. Funeral Tuesday from Trinity United Church at 11 a.m. Interment later in Sherwood Cemetery. Family flowers only, however if so desired, memorials to The Mission & Service Fund of The United Church of Canada, Trinity United Church or the charity of choice would be appreciated. Loving mother of Nora (Dieter Hunkeler) Mickle and Mary Anne (Jeff) DeMone. Nanny to Jason and Chanel Belliveau, Andrew Hunkeler and Justin DeMone. Predeceased by sisters Lillian Curtis, Myra MacKinnon, Irene Simpson and brother Colin MacLeod.

At the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Saturday, February 27, 2016, surrounded by the love of her family who will miss her terribly, of M. Louise (Hooper) MacFarlane, age 89 years. Born in North Milton, PEI the daughter of the late George W. and Pearle (Coles) Hooper, she was predeceased by her beloved husband Everett R. MacFarlane. She is survived by her children, Joan, Jill (Garth) Moore, Mary Lou and Scott and by grandchildren Alysa and Alexander Moore. Also survived by brother Rollin Hooper, sisters-in-law Mary Hooper and Jean MacFarlane and by many nieces and nephews and their families.
Louise was predeceased by her siblings Joyce Andrew, Phyllis, Maurice, Dorothy, Noel, Garth and Joan Hooper, and by her brothers and sisters-in-law Dorothy and Enzley Campbell, Norman MacFarlane, Erwin Andrew and Jeanette Hooper, and by her niece Cathy Hooper.
Louise loved to sew, and loved the challenge of creating everything from Dior’s New Look, to elaborate Halloween costumes, to numerous items for the Ceilidh at the Kirk. She loved to play Bridge and Scrabble, and took great pleasure in lively political discussions, going out for lunch, sitting in the sun, and listening to jazz. She spent countless hours volunteering at the QEH and at the Kirk. Her many friends will miss her too.
