Gwen D. Blanchard

At home, on May 14, 2014 after a long battle with non - alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver, Mrs Gwen Dowker Blanchard passed away. Born on February 25, 1947 in Goderich, Ontario, she was predeceased by her parents Spencer and Awdry (nee Dowker) Blanchard ans is survived by her sister Leslie and son James. Gwen took art at H.B. Beal in London Ont. And was a member of the Montreal Calligraphy Society, once part of a quilting group and part of the art group meeting in Knowlton. In the 1960’s - 1970’s she was a member af a pipe band in London, Ont. She was a gifted piper until health problems intervened.

Gratitude to Dr. Desy, Dr Giannangelo, Nicole and the CLSC team for their care of her. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Collie Rescue Network, R.R. 1 Camrose, Alberta T4V 2M9. Funeral arrangement entrusted to

Peacefully at the Maison Au Diapason, on April 26, 2014 at the age of 65 passed away Judith Ducrée, life partner of Gérald Piette. Peacefully, at the Granby Hospital, on May, 3rd 2014, in her 81st year, passed away Hélène Robidas, loving wife and partner for 45 years of Nicholas Slachta.

She leaves to mourn her step - son Gary, her sister Shirley (late Paul), brother Ronald (Rachel), her niece Gillian with Megan and Josh also many other nieces, nephews, relatives and her dear friends.

Bridget Aiken (Nee Gaugham)

On April 13th, 2014 in Hinton, Alberta, Bridget Aiken passed away peacefully at the age of 95, surrounded be her loving family.

She was the loving wife of the late Peter Aiken with whom she shared most of her life in Dunkin, Quebec. She will be sadly missed be her children: Eleanore, John (Lorraine Rouillard), Carolyn, Violet (Dana Murphy), Lendy (Ken McLeod) and Tammy. She will be remembered forever by her grandchildren; Jennifer, Rebecca, Shawn, Andrew, Timothy, Sarah, Erin, Amanda, Shannon,Meghan, Katie, Kendra and Emily. She also leaves behing her six great - grandchildren and many friends. Those who had the chance of knowing Bridget will always think of her as a “Great Lady”.

At the age of 95, it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Aunt Chris, on Easter Monday, surrounded by her loving family and the caring staff at Knowlton House. Chris was a loving sister, devoted aunt, and a dear friend to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Visitation was held at Knowlton United Church this Friday, April 25th at 12:45pm. The two - o’clock funeral service will be followed by interment at the Knowlton Cemetery with refreshments served afterwards at the church by the UCW. On March 15, 2014, in her 52ndt year, Nancy passed away at the Hotel Dieu Hospital in Sherbrooke, Quebec from cancer.

Nancy Ann was daughter to the late Eunice & Kathan Peasley, & sister to the late (1974) Douglas Peasley. She was loving partner to Sylvain, mother to Jonathan (Eliza), Gabriel, & Jesse. She is survived by sisters Linda (Keith Mitchell) and Dorene (late 2013 Tom Locke), brothers Alden (Diane Jusza) and James (Giselle Bichon). She also leaves to mourn 3 grandchildren as well as many other family relations and friends.
