BISHOP, Edna. Peacefully at the Sherbrooke Hospital, Sherbrooke, Quebec on Thursday, June 15, 2000, Edna Page in her eighty-second year, beloved wife of the late Dunbar Bishop. Dear mother of Bruce (Barbara) of Baie d'Urfe, Quebec, Rod (Karen) of Thunder Bay, Ontario, and David (Lyne) of Hudson, Quebec. Cherished Gran to six grandchildren. Also survived by her brother Jack of Ilfracombe, Devon, England. At her request, she was cremated. No visitation. A private graveside service will be held at Reedsville Cemetery, North Hatley, Quebec on Tuesday, June 20, 2000. Rev. Alain Milot officiating. As memorial tributes, donations to St. Barnabas Church, Memorial Fund, North Hatley, Quebec, J0B 2C0 or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. CHAN, Jennie (Krywy). Peacefully at home on Friday, September 29, 2000 in her sixty-ninth year, surrounded by loved ones. Faithful wife of forty-four years to George, loving mother to Peter and George, wonderful mother-in-law to Wendy, dear friend to Oksana. Hardworking and conscientious to the end, an inspiration and constant source of support and strength to those who knew and loved her. Our deepest gratitude to the Montreal Palliative Care Unit, her doctors, CLSC LaSalle, the VON staff, and especially to Valerie, Wanda and Trina. Special thanks also to all those who called, visited, and helped make it possible for her to remain at home to the end. In lieu of flowers, a donation to either VON Montreal Inc. or St. Sophie's Cathedral would be greatly appreciated. Visitation at Urgel Bourgie, 7708 Centrale Street, LaSalle on Sunday, October 1 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Panachyda at 8 p.m. Funeral service at the same location on Monday, October 2 at 10 a.m. Burial at Mount Royal Cemetery to follow.
