GOZZO, Rosa (nee Savasta). Passed away peacefully at the age of eighty-five on Saturday, December 21, 2002, after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved wife of the late Michele Gozzo. Dearly loved mother of Giovanna (Giuseppe) and Emanuele (Lina). Cherished Nonna to Lino (Susan), Lara, Michael. She also leaves behind her brother, sisters and their families in Italy. The family expresses its sincere gratitude to the nurses, doctors and staff at the Palliative Care Unit of the Royal Victoria Hospital for their exceptional care. The family will receive condolences on December 26 at Loreto Funeral Home (4975 des Grandes Prairies, St. Leonard). The funeral Mass will be held on December 27 at Maria Ausiliatrice Parish (8555 Maurice Duplessis, R.D.P.) at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Francois d'Assise. HOPKINS, Jean Douglas (nee Anderson). Suddenly in her eighty-sixth year, in the comfort of her home, Orleans Ontario, on Sunday, December 22, 2002. Jean Anderson, widow of Anson Jones Hopkins (Hop). Beloved step-mother of Ken Hopkin (Lee) and Judy Devey (Brian). Sweet and devoted aunt of Robert Anderson, Alec Anderson (Laura Lee), Susan Stopford (Norman) and Pegeen Stopford (John). Lovingly remembered by many grandchildren, grandnieces and grandnephews. Predeceased by brother Allen Anderson (Betty). She was an active and devoted member of St. Helen's Anglican Church, Orleans. A private family committal service will be held at Beechwood Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at St. Helen's Church, Orleans on Saturday, January 18, 2003 at 11 a.m. Interment to be held in Owen Sound in the late spring. Predeceased by his wife Elsie Cavanagh (June 11, 1992), and eldest son John Savage (November 18, 2001). World War II Veteran-Sargeant Royal Canadian Engineers, retired C.P. Rail and Clairol Security.
