MITCHELL, Florence Ellen (nee Moffat). On Saturday, March 29, 2003, Florence Mitchell of Edmonton and formerly of Montreal passed away at the age of eighty-seven. She will be lovingly remembered by her son Richard (Dorothy); her grandchildren, Darrell (Tanya) and Corrine (Ernie), as well as five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Theodore, and her granddaughter, Shelley Theberge. South Side Memorial Chapel, Edmonton (780) 432-1601.

MORAITOU, Athena. At home on March 29, 2003 in her sixty-eighth year surrounded by her children after a courageous battle with cancer passed away Athena Moraitou. She was predeceased by her precious son Michael Sgontzos. Survived by her children Eugenia (Modestos Kefalas), Nicholas Sgontzos (Sophia), Elizabeth (Vincent Fanara), Anna (Alif Lallani), and Dmitrios Farmakis (Tereza Rizos). Cherished yia-yia to her grandchildren Kalliopi and Marios Kefalas; Christina, Athena, Socrates and Joseph-Michael Sgontzos; Athena, Giovanni and Josie Fanara; Alianna Lallani. Will be forever remembered by her siblings and their spouses Dionysia Dimitropoulos; Pantelis and Maria Moraitis; Anna Tsoukalas; Evdokia and Nick Scourlas; Irene and Nick Vasalos. Will be loving remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Resting at Blythe Bernier Funeral Home, 940 Ogilvy Ave. Visitation will be on Monday and Tuesday, March 31 and April 1, 2-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 2 at 10:30 a.m. at Evagelismos Theotokou Church, 777 St. Roch, Montreal. BALAZIC, Matilda (nee Kotnjek). 1937 - 2003. Passed away peacefully on September 9, 2003. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Balazic. She will be greatly missed by her children Joseph, John, Rosemary (Dan), Steve (Lori-Ann), Karolina (Joe) and Robert. She will also be missed by her grandchildren Brittany, Marissa, Kyle, Emily, Natasha and Shawn.
