Reed, Arthur

Peacefully, at the Magog Hospital on Sunday, July 3rd 2005. Hurley Arthur Reed in his 88th year, beloved husband of Donna Arlene Jones for over 60 years, dearly loved father of David (Debbie) of Ennismore, Ont, Diane (Michael Taylor) and Richard (Judy) of Sydney, Australia. Arthur was the loving grandfather of nine grandchildren: Jeff, Cyndy, Angele, Cameron, Marc, Ewen, Gabe, Imogen and Meagan. He was the much loved brother of Pauline (late Bob Maschke), Medicine Hat, Alberta and of Reginald (Ruth), Lennoxville. Three sisters predeceased Arthur: Gladys (Stanley Thompson), Bernice and Reta Reed. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 6th 2005 at 11:30 am with visitation one hour prior to the service at St. George's Anglican Church, 84 Queen Street, Lennoxville, the Rev. Michael Canning officiating. The burial will take place later. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Dr. W. J. Klinck Foundation for the Connaught Home, would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Conway, Norman

Passed away at the Grace Christian Home, Sherbrooke, Que on Monday, October 4, 2010 at the age of 86 years. Beloved husband of Lenora Cote and cherished father of Nancy (Roy Stinson), Brian (Coleen Wynot) and Sharon (Edwin Bailey). Much loved grandpa of Rebecca Conway, Scott, Robert and Jennifer Stinson and Amanda, Kimberley and Jesse Bailey. Resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 3006 College St. Sherbrooke (Lennoxville) where family and friends may call on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 7, 2010 at 10:30 am in the Saint Patricks Church, 20 Gordon St. Sherbrooke. Interment in the Malvern cemetery following the service. Donations to the Dr.W. J. Klinck Foundation, c/o Massawippi Christian Retirement Homes, 1501 Campbell, Sherbrooke, QC J1M 0C1 would be appreciated.

Rieder Medland, Margaret

Suddenly at the CHUS Hotel-Dieu Hospital, Sherbrooke, QC on Sunday, June 26 2005 at the age of 83. Margaret Johanna (Rieder) Medland, beloved wife of the late Richard Dillon Medland. Dear mother of Michael (Maryanne Sherrer) and Mark (Marie-Theres Bitzer); cherished grandmother of Julia, Christopher, Robin, Patrick and Adam. There will be no visitation and a memorial will be held at a later date. As memorial tributes, donations to the CHUS Hotel-Dieu Hospital would be appreciated by the family. Vanier Stowe, Georgette

Passed away suddenly at home, on March 17, 2014, in her 85th year. Beloved wife of the late Clifton S. Stowe and mother of Michael (Claire) and grandmother of Isaac (Amanda) and Anna (Kevin). Great grandmother of Addison and Katelynn. In respect of Georgette's wishes, cremation was held a the Cass-Windsor crematorium Windsor, QC. There will be no visitation, a graveside service will be held at the Grace United Cemetery, Brookbury, QC on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at 2 pm with Tami Spires, minister of the United Eaton Valley Pastoral Charge officiating. As memorial tributes, donations of your choice.

Verhoef, Gerard

Verhoef, Gerard (1917 - 2013) Passed away peacefully at the Wales Home, Richmond, with his family by his side, on Monday August 26th 2013, Mr. Gerard Verhoef at the age of 96. Loving husband of the late Johanna van Ruitenbeek, and dear father of Walter (Dominique), Barbara (Kevin), and Hendrik (Nancy). Loving grandfather of Benjamin (Véronique), Alexis, Jessica (Troy), Jeffrey (Veronica), Jamie (Jay), Katrina (Jake) and Michelle, and great grandfather of Xavier. Gerard also leaves to mourn his brother Gilbert (Maria), of Richmond, QC, his sisters Marie, Greet and Corrie and his brother Hein, all from Holland. Pre-deceased by his brothers and sisters Manus, Ali, Cilia, Jan, Bertha and Margaret, along with many nieces, nephews and many dear friends. Resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 295 Principale S., Richmond, where friends may visit on Wednesday August 28th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM and on Thursday from 1 to 1:45 PM. A funeral mass will be held at Ste-Bibiane Catholic Church on Thursday August 29th at 2:00 PM. Interment in Ste-Bibiane Cemetery. The family would like to extend a heartfelt "Thank you" to the staff of the Wales Home for the wonderful care they provided. Donations to the Wales Home Foundation, 506 Rte 243N, Richmond, QC J0B 2H0 would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Vander Wal, Lambertus

Sadly passed away at home in Richmond, Quebec, on Saturday, March 26th, 2016. Son of the late Gooitske and Wiebe Vander Wal.

Lambertus leaves to mourn his sisters and brother Betty (Donald), Alle, and Johnny (Karin); his nieces and nephews Robin (Chuck), Connie, Jeffrey (Marie-Josée), John (France), Sonya (Garry) and Erica; his sixteen great nieces and nephews, his one great great niece, and many good friends.

A graveside service and burial will be announced at a later date.

Spray Robinson, Shirley
(1928-2017)

Passed away peacefully at the CHUS Hôtel-Dieu, on Sunday June 25, 2017 at the age of 88. Wife of the late Elmer Robinson and loving mother of Laurie Anne (Len Fugard) and Scott (Kathryn Fletcher). Cherished grandmother of Pamela, Heather (Chris), Steven (Charlene), Kimberly (Cody), Shannon (Cody), Alyssa (Matthew), Arielle (Charles) and Aaron and great grandmother of Preston, Logan, Sophia, Christopher, Issac and Avery.
Visitation will take place at the Lennoxville United Church, 6 Church St. Sherbrooke (Lennoxville), on Friday, June 30, 2017 from 1 to 2 pm followed by the funeral service at 2 pm with Rev Linda Buchanan officiating. Interment in Malvern Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Frontier Animal Society, would be appreciated.

Lester Mason, Eurith

Passed away peacefully at the Wales Home in Richmond, on Friday November 26th, 2010, at the age of 96. Wife of the late John Mason, and father of Edith (Vincent Farant), the late Ronald, the late Betty Ann, Elaine, and Lloyd Mason. Eurith also leaves to mourn her grandchildren, Diane (David Taylor), Darrel (the late Judy), Donna (Robert Vidal), and Denis (Linda Courtemanche), along with her great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends. A graveside service will be held at St-Anne’s Cemetery, Richmond, on Wednesday December 1st, 2010 at 2:00 PM. Donations to the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Passed away peacefully at the Foyer St-Joseph, Sherbrooke, QC on Thursday, November 11, 2010 at the age of 85 years. Loving wife of the late Lennox Loach and dear mother of Victoria (Rock Chretien), Jeffrey, Michael (Joanne West), Nancy (Larry Wilcox), Brenda, Steven (Veronica Daigneault) and the late David. Dear grandmother of 21 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Frances leaves to mourn her brothers and sisters Doug Ladd, Sylvia Patton, Raymond Ladd and Audrey Firth and predeceased by her brother Austin Ladd. Resting at the Cass Funeral, 3006 College St. Sherbrooke (Lennoxville) on Monday, November 15, 2010 from 11am to 1:45 pm. Passed away peacefully at the Hôtel-Dieu Hospital, Sherbrooke, QC on Wednesday, November, 3, 2010 at the age of 63 years. Beloved son of the late Earl Lloyd and the late Gertrude Simpson. Loving husband of Vivian Laroche and dear father of Wayne, Dale (Jenny Hamel), Bruce and Gloria (Jean-Marc Dallaire) and dear grandpa of Alan and Tiffany Lloyd. Richard also leaves to mourn his brothers and sisters along with his many nieces, nephews and friends. Laroche, Curtis Gerald

Curtis passed away peacefully at his Sawyerville residence on November 1, 2010 at the age of 65. Beloved husband to Pauline Poudrier and son to Beverly Laroche (the late Gerald). Curtis is survived by his children Yvon (Angela Hodge), Guy (Lisette Guillette), Manon (Mario Brochu), Bruno (Lynda Poulin) and Louis (Marie-Josée Custeau); his grandchildren Lee-Anna, Bradley, Marie-Éve, Bryan, Sabrina, Maxime, Cédrik, Alex, Marie-Soleil, Mélissa and Alexandre; his brothers and sister Garfield (Audrey Harrison), Rodney and Gertrude (Robert Galvin). Also survived by his in-laws and many other relatives and friends. Resting at the Notre-Dame-du-Saint-Rosaire Church in Sawyerville, where family and friends may visit on Thursday, November 4, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, and on Friday, November 5 from 10 to 10:45 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. in the church. Interment in the Notre-Dame-du-Saint-Rosaire cemetery.

Devries, John

After a brief illness at the CHUS Hospital, Sherbrooke, QC on Monday, September 27, 2010 at the age of 76 years. John P. Devries, beloved husband of Thelma Moore and dear father of Scott, Nancy (Wayne), Steven (Chantal) and Mark (Mirella). John was the deeply cherished grandfather of Karl, Christopher, Kate, Patrick, Alexzander, Ian and Jaidan and brought so much joy to their lives. He is survived by many brothers, sisters and relations in Holland and is predeceased by his loving brother Auke from Richmond, QC. He also leaves to mourn brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; William Moore, Lorna Phelan (Sunny), Annabelle Beaupré (Richer) and Terry Moore (Scott Coote), as well as many nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed; he was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. Resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 3006 College St. Sherbrooke (Lennoxville) where family and friends are welcome on Friday October 1, 2010 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9 pm. Also on Saturday October 2, 2010 from 1pm to 2 pm. Followed by the funeral service in the chapel at 2 pm. Interment at the Windsor Cemetery, Windsor, QC.Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, 3330, King West, Bureau 130, Sherbrooke Quebec J1L 1C9 would be greatly appreciated by the family.
