Holland MacRae, Miriam Ann
September 25, 1933 - May 5, 2017

A proud Scotstown native with a great love for the townships passed away peacefully at the Grace Christian Home, Sherbrooke, following a long illness.

Miriam is survived by daughter, Debirah; sons Ian (Jeannie), Brad and Derek; grandsons Darryl, Patrick, Matthew and Joseph; granddaughter Susan and great granddaughters Ivy and Kalyana.

Service to be held at Cass Funeral Homes, 3006 rue College, Sherbrooke, on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at 11am.

The family wishes to extend particular thanks to the staff of Grace Christian Home for their loving care of our mother. The family asks to consider a donation to Grace Christian Home in lieu of flowers.

Hover, Vera
(1928-2017)

Peacefully, on April 21, 2017 Vera Hover passed away at the CHSLD in East Angus, Daughter of the late Philip Hover and the late Margaret Hodge.
Vera was predeceased by her brothers and sisters Lillian (Donald Laroche), Dalbert, Dalton (Mabel), and Vernal “Bun” (Kay).
She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews and friends.
A graveside service will be held at the Eaton Cemetery on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with Tami Spires officiating.
As a tribute to her memory, donations can be made to the Eaton Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 934, Cookshire, QC J0B 1M0.

Hartley, Terry
1962 – 2017

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Terry Hartley from a massive pulmonary embolism on February 27, 2017 on his 55th birthday. Loving husband of Lynda Therrien and son of the late Lyle Hartley and Sylvia Goodsell.

Terry leaves to mourn his children: Kelly (Ashley Phaneuf), Matthew (Nathalie Hughes), Jeremy (Vanessa Bédard), Terah-Lyn (Jaden Mackey), Faith (Aaron Charron) and Christian as well as his loving grandchildren: Ava, Evan, Jensen Levi, Alyvia, Jackson and Cody as well as baby to come. He will sadly be missed by his brothers and sister: Michael (Daphne), Cathy (Dougie) and Wayne (Cindy) as well as many nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.

Visitation will be held at the Cass Funeral home, 545, Dufferin, Stanstead, on Monday March 6, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. A memorial service will follow at the funeral home with Rev. Barbara Wintle officiating.

Holmes, Betty Jocelyn

Passed away peacefully at the Connaught Home, North Hatley, Quebec on January 28th in her 94th year.

Loving mother of Judith (Maurice), Glenn (Brenda), daughter-in-law Anne Houstoun, granddaughter Heather and sister Nancy Young. Predeceased by her husband Steve (2007), sons Timothy (1984) and Hugh (2010), brother Phillip and sisters Joanne, Mary Jean and Barbara.
Cremation has taken place and a private interment will be held at a later date.

Sincere thanks are extended to the Connaught Home for their care and compassion over many years and a special thank you to Sue Black.

Contributions to the Dr. W.J. Klinck foundation building fund would be welcomed.

Hibbard, Larry
March 26, 1946 - January 15, 2017

He will be lovingly remembered and missed by partner Linda Davies, son Lee (Suzzette), grandchildren Kyle (Sarah) and Michael; brother David (Sandra), as well as many other family members and dear friends.

Larry could often be found on the back roads in the area pursuing his passion for the outdoors.

Friends are welcome to attend an informal service at CASS Funeral Home in Stanstead on Saturday January 21st from 1-3 p.m.

Paquette Seguin, Lorraine

Passed away suddenly at the C.S.S.S. Memphremagog on Satuday, August 9, 2008, at the age of 71. Beloved wife of the late Clarence Seguin and daughter of the late Emilien Paquette and the late Anastasie Ducharme. Cherished mother of Marcel and Pauline. Loving grandmonther of Jeremy. She was predeceased by her son Richard. Lorraine will also be sadly missed by her brother Jacques, and sisters Marina (Doug), and Liette, along with her nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. There will be visitation at the Cass Funeral Home, 545 Dufferin, Stanstead 819-84-76-5213 /www.casshomes/ca on Wednesday, August 13, where friends may visit from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., also on Thursday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. followed by the service in the funeral home. Perkins Berry, Ruby

Passed away at the Wales Home in Richmond, on Monday July 28, 2008, Ruby Perkins in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Frederick Berry and dear mother of Wayne Berry of Corran Ban, PEI. Dear sister of the late Clara Robinson, the late Maria Brown and the late Harry, Lindsay and Morrison Perkins. Ruby is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends. Resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 3006 College St., Sherbrooke (Lennoxville), 819-564-1750 where friends may visit on Wednesday July 30th from 7 to 9 pm and on Thursday from 1 to 1:45 pm. Funeral service will be held in St-George's Anglican Church, Lennoxville, on Thursdfay July 31st at 2:00pm with Rev. Michael Canning officiating. Interment in the Malvern cemetery. Pitman, Aileen

Passed away peacefully at the CHUS Hotel-Dieu in Sherbrooke, on Saturday, July 5, 2008, at the age of 90. Beloved wife of the late Wilfred Raymond and the late Irving Lord. Cherished mother of : the late Marilyn, Gail (Eddie Anderson), and Douglas (Helen Walker).; loving grandmother of : Bruce, Sherri, Jeffrey, Christopher, and the late Lisa; Aileen will also be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Perkins, Alfred

Passed away peacefully on June 30th, 2008, after a period of declining health, at the Wales Home, Richmond, QC at the age of 92. Beloved husband for over 60 years of Joyce MacIntosh, and also survived by his brothers Russell (late Margaret Atyeo) of Kingston, Ontario, Chester (Joanne Webb) of the Wales Home, Richmond, and by his 5 nieces and 5 nephews. Alfred was for a long time, employed in the accounting department at the Canadian Johns-Manville Co. in Asbestos, while living in Danville. Resting at the Dupuis Funeral Home, 148 Daniel-Johnson St., Danville, (819) 564-1750 https:/, where friends may visit on Wednesday July 2nd from 2 to 4 PM, and on Thursday from 1 to 2PM. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday July 3rd at 2 PM, followed by the interment in the Danville Protestant cemetery.
