GUTMAN, Allan. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Allan Gutman on Friday, March 29, 2013. He will be deeply missed by Florence, his devoted wife of sixty-one years. Beloved father and father-in-law of Corinne and Chuck Rowniak, Rhona and Allan Slomovic, Deborah and Michael Groper. Cherished Grandpa of Jacqueline, and Erica Rowniak; Alana, and Jaclyn Slomovic; Brandon, and Dylan Groper. Predeceased by his brother Eliezer, and sisters Rachel and Rosie. Dear uncle of Helen and Nelson Goldsmith. His kindness, generosity and devotion to his family were a true inspiration to us all. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all those whose lives he touched. Devoted and loving mother of Deborah Rider, Anissa, and Renee Goldberg. Adored and doting ‘Bobi Ev’ to Ryan, Joshua, and Sean Brownstein. Dearest sister and best friend of Ruth Vitale Goodman (the late Gerry), and predeceased her other siblings and their spouses, Sally and Jerry Gordon, Betty and Harry Switzman, Samuel and Maytie Workman, Mary and David Climan, and Ralph Vitale. Loving aunt and great-aunt to numerous special nieces and nephews. Eva will be sadly missed by all who loved and knew her. Passed away in New York, at the age of sixty-four, on Thursday, March 21, 2013, after a long battle with breast cancer. Daughter of the late Rhoda Bruker (nee Vineberg) and the late Nathan Bruker. Sister and sister-in-law of Elizabeth and Jack Zwicker of Toronto. Mother of Elizabeth Anne (Eli Anne) Marcovitz and Jonah Marcovitz. Aunt to many nephews and nieces. Dear sister of Joseph Faraj, the late Salim Faraj (the late Doris), the late Gracie Khazzam (the late Haroun), the late Suzanne Faraj. Sister-in-law of Joe and Ruby Samuel, Nory Samuel, Hermi Mahlke, and Rachel Meyers. Predeceased by her four brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law. WOLFE, Hyman David. After a valiant struggle with Alzheimer’s, on Thursday, April 4, 2013, in his eighty-second year. Much loved husband and best friend of Thelma Menkes. Devoted father and father-in-law of Lorne and Janet, Jon and Cindy. Nicole, Abigale, and Sophia are left with truly fond memories of their Zeida. Caring brother-in-law of Sid Menkes. Dave earned a flying scholarship in his youth, became a pilot, licensed flying instructor and air-traffic controller. He maintained a deep interest in aviation throughout his life.
