Stuart, John

John David Stuart passed away peacefully at the age of 91 on March 23, 2015 at Magog Hospital. He leaves to mourn two daughters: Bonnie (Dan) of Brossard, Sharon (Greg) of Campbell River, B.C.; two grand-children: Carolyne (Rejean) and Greg (Lysianne); a great grand-daughter: Maelle; brothers: Gordon (the late Frankie) and William (Beverely), nieces ad nephews. He was pre-deceded by his sister Catherine (Wilder Hatch) and brother Bruce (Connie). There will be no visitation. Burial of his ashes will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank the caregivers, nursing staff and doctors of Magog Hospital for their excellent service.

Smith, Douglas
(1929 - 2014)

Passed away peacefully in the evening of Monday December 1st, 2014. Beloved husband of Marjorie Adamson and loving father of Glen (Laura), Gary (Scheryl) and the late Sheila. Dear grandfather of Jeremy (Allison), Stephen (Carly), Holly (Jordan), Kristofer, Brittany and Casey (Vanessa) and great-grandfather to Mason. Brother of the late Albert Smith (late Marguerite), the late Gladys Brooks (late Lyle Brooks), Audrey Porter (late Thomas Porter) and Dorothy Bedard (late Paul Bedard) and the late Private Ernest Smith (WWII). Family and friends are welcome to the visitation at the Cass Funeral Home, 295 Principale S., Richmond on Friday December 5th from 2 to 4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm as well as on Saturday from 12:30 to 1:30, followed by the funeral service at the home at 1:30. The interment will take place at the Melbourne Ridge Cemetery.

Sarrasin Powell, Ruth

Passed away at her home in Compton, on Tuesday November 4th 2014, Ruth Powell at the age of 78. Wife of Murray Powell, and dear mother of Laurie (Peter) and Lorne (Kim). Grandmother of Sasha (Nick), Forrest (Estelle), Shannon (Jonathan) and Spencer, and great grandmother of Riley Jay. Ruth was the daughter of the late Peter James Sarrasin and the late Mary Dealtry Shore. Survived by her brothers and sisters; Rita (late Doug), Fred (Margaret), Margaret (late William), and Robert (Susan), and will be missed by her many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 3006 College, Sherbrooke (Lennoxville), where friends may visit on Thursday November 6th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A funeral service will be held at the Waterville United Church on Friday November 7th at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Jim Potter officiating. Interment in the Milby Cemetery. Donations to the Milby Cemetery, c/o Joan Powell, 4470 Rte 147, Waterville, QC J0B 3H0 would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Smith, Frederick

Passed away peacefully at the CSSS Val St-François - Windsor, on Monday October 27th, 2014, Mr. Frederick Smith at the age of 75. Loving husband of Bernice McAdams, and dear brother-in-law of Carmelle (Claude). Frederick also leaves to mourn, his nephew Philippe (Sabrina), the members of the Keenan family, and André and Diane Archambault, along with many other relatives and dear friends. Resting at the Windsor Funeral Home, 310 rue St-Georges, Windsor, where friends may visit on Friday October 31st from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM and on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. A funeral Mass will be held at St-François Xavier Catholic Church on Saturday November 1st at 11:00am, followed by the interment in St-Philippe Cemetery, Windsor. The family would like to thank the personal of the CSSS Val St-François - Windsor, for the wonderful care they provided, and also to the staff of the CHUS Fleurimont and the CHUS Hotel-Dieu (Medicine du jour), to Father François Paré, and Father Christian Auger for the pastoral visits at the hospital, and Father Gilles Gingras for his pastoral care and support in Windsor. Donations to the Fabrique St-Philippe, (for the construction of the new Church), 63 rue St-Georges, Windsor J1S 2K5 would be greatly appreciated by the family. 1937-2014

Passed away at the CSSS Memphremagog, on September 2, 2014 at the age of 76. Beloved wife of Benoît Perreault. Dear mother of Paul-Émile of Drummondville, Marianne (Kenneth Herz) of Chazy NY and Marcel of Stanstead. Cherished grandmother of Samuel, Marc-André, Tyler, Willow and Melanie. Maria also leaves to mourn many other relatives and friends. Resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 545 Dufferin St. Stanstead on Saturday, September 13, 2014 from 12:00 to 1:30 pm followed by the funeral service at 2:00 pm in the Sacre Cœur Church Stanstead. Passed away on August 26, 2014 in Baie St-Paule at the age of 74. Beloved wife of the late James Hutchison and dear mother of Clifford (Tracy Batley) and Stephen (Melissa Vera). Loving grandmother of Mackenzie, Grace and William. Sister of Kenny Smith (Olive), Clifford Smith (Joye) and Norman Smith (Rene). Barbara will also be sadly missed by her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law William (Louise), Peter (Jacqueline), John (Lise) and Andrew (Nancy) as well as her nieces, nephews and dear friends. Resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 900 Clough St. Ayer's Cliff, on Tuesday September 2, 2014 from 12:00 to 2:00 pm followed by a funeral mass at the Barthelemy Church, Ayer's Cliff at 2:00 pm. Stevens, Joyce

Passed away at her home with her family by her side, on Saturday July 26th 2014, Joyce Stevens (nee Dean) at the age of 77. Loving wife of 55 years to William (Bill) Stevens, and dear mother of David (Suzanne Towsey), Andrew, and Laurie (John Murphy). Special Nanna of Jessica and Jason Stevens, and Julia, Lauren and Alicia Murphy. Predeceased by her sister Morna and her brother Morley. Joyce will be dearly missed by her many nieces and nephews across Canada, the Stevens family, and many dear friends. Resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 295 Principale S., Richmond, where friends may visit on Tuesday July 29th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday July 30th, at 2:00 PM, in the Richmond – Melbourne United Church. Interment in the Trenholm Cemetery following the service. Donations to the Wales Home Foundation, 506 Rte 243N, Richmond J0B 2H0, or to the charity of your choice, would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Smith Dustin, Gladys

Peacefully at the BMP Hospital, on Wednesday, July 23, 2014. Beloved wife of the late Randolph Dustin. Loving daughter of the late Agnes McComb and the late Robert Smith. Dear sister of Robert (Bob) Smith. Gladys is survived by many nieces, nephews, friends and relatives. Visitation will be held at the Cass Funeral Home, 900 Clough St. Ayer's Cliff, on Sunday, July 27, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 28, 2014 at 11 am in the St. Georges Anglican Church, Ayer's Cliff. Interment to follow in the Ayer's Cliff Protestant Cemetery. Gladys was a long time member of the Women's Institute of Cowansville. A very special thank you to Linda Jacob-Persons and Jamie Lee for care above and beyond the call. Passed away peacefully in the presence of many family members who were singing "It Is Well With My Soul" on Monday, July 21, 2014. Loving husband of Winnifred Scott and father of 12 (6 children and their spouses), grandfather of 28 and great grandfather to 6. Brother to Marian (Bob). Resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 545 Dufferin St. Stanstead, QC on Thursday, July 24, 2014 from 6 to 9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 1:30 pm at the Assemblée Chrétienne de Stanstead, 9 Hackett St. Stanstead. Following the reception there will be a short hymn sing. Passed away at the Coaticook Hospital, on Sunday, July 6, 2014 at the age of 86 years. Beloved wife of 61 years to Delbert Lane. Loving mother of Larry (Shelly) and Christine (Yves). Cherished grandma to Steven (Melissa) and Corey and great grandma to Koby and Cameron. A visitation will be held at the St. John's Anglican Church, Waterville, on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 from 7 to 9 pm and on Thursday, July 10th from 10 to 11 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m.. Rev Ruth Charleau officiating. Interment in the Greenwood Cemetery Waterville.

Washburn, Rolleston, Marrotte, Esther Lillian

WASHBURN, Rolleston, Marrotte, Esther - passed away at the age of 78. Esther was predeceased by her loving husband Louis Marrotte, son Wayne Marrotte and grandson Joshua Marrotte. She is survived by her husband Clarence Rolleston, her sons: Roy Marrotte (Suzanne), Roger Marrotte (the late Debbie Dewn) and Ralph Marrotte. Her daughters: Louise Marrotte Lacroix (Ronald Lacroix), Brenda Marrotte, and daughter-in-law Brenda Chaffee of the late Wayne Marrotte. She leaves behind her grandchildren, great grandchildren, stepchildren and step grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday December 12th at the Cass Funeral Home, 545, Dufferin St, Stanstead. Visitation will take place from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. followed by a service at the Home at 2:00 p.m. Donations may be made to Clarence Rolleston.
