ARNOLD The passing of Alfred George Arnold age 32 years of Saskatoon, occurred at St. Paul's Hospital on January 27, 1998. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 30th, 1998 at 11:00 a.m. from the Green Lake Community Hall with Frank Mirasty officiating. He is lovingly survived by his mother Evelyn; brothers and sisters Ken Arnold, Albert (Rita) Arnold, Lawrence Arnold, Nancy (Evan) Clarke, Marilyn (Ronald) Bundschuh, Charlene Holmes, Susan (Mervin) Laliberte, Dave Arnold, Joe (Audrey) Arnold, Gloria (Jamie) Fuller, nineteen nieces and nephews, one great niece Ashley Scheiber; one great nephew Geoffrey Arnold. He is predeceased by Father Charles; grandmother Bella Fiddler; infant brother Max; niece Johanna Arnold. Interment will take place in Green Lake Cemetery. DENNISON Thomas (Tom) William passed away peacefully at home on January 27, 1998. He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon; daughters, Danita (Dwayne) Vandale and Ronda Dennison; grandchildren, Jonathan, Shane and Maranda; mother, Nina Dennison; brother, Dan (Val) Dennison all of Saskatoon and sister, Margaret (Harvey) Wudrick of Kitchener, Ontario Tom was predeceased by his father, Daniel. Tom was born on April 7, 1948 in Saskatoon. He grew up in Montgomery Place and went to Montgomery School. He attended Tech High School. Tom was an active member of United Steelworker of American both at PCS Allan and PCS Cory potash mines. He was recently employed at Five Star Trucks. Tom was one of the early pioneers of stock car racing in Saskatoon. He was a member of the Draggins car Club for twelve years and was well known for his expertise in all aspects of cars from mechanics to body work to custom painting. Tom was a generous, loving family man who maintained a fondness for working in his garage, and was always ready to offer a helping hand to those in need. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 438 2nd Avenue North, Saskatoon, SK S7K 2C3. The Funeral Service will be held from Christ Church (515 - 28th Street West) on Friday, January 30, 1998 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Dr. David Paton as Celebrant. EBY Vernon Dennis Eby, passed away suddenly on Monday, January 26, 1998, at the age of 48. Vernon, AKA "Sharpy", resided in Saskatoon most of his life working as a mechanic and cab driver. Vernon was predeceased by his father Wesley Eby, and his mother Alma O'Brien. He is survived by his siblings Walter (Liz) Eby of Lenior, NC, Gerald (Heather) Eby of Moose Jaw, and from Saskatoon - Darwin (Diana Mahar) Eby, Ronnie (Koreen) Eby and Linda (Wes) Hodgson. Vernon will be sadly missed by all his friends and family. The graveside service will occur at Hillcrest Cemetery (Apostles Garden) at 10:00 on Friday, January 30. All attending should meet in the parking lot at Saskatoon Funeral Home by 9:30, for the funeral procession to the cemetery. Luncheon will follow at the W.A. Edwards Centre, across from Saskatoon Funeral Home. Courtesy parking is available at Saskatoon Funeral Home.
HAMBLETON Pearl Hambleton of Saskatoon passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 1998 after a long period of heart problems. She was born August 19, 1911 at Brandon, MB. Pearl was predeceased by her parents, a brother Howard, and a sister Ruby Rouse. She is survived by two brothers, George and Roy (wife Aileen); and also several nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place and interment will take place at the Brandon Cemetery. At Pearl's request there will be no service. Funeral arrangements will be arranged by the SASKATOON FUNERAL HOME.
HULM Rose. We are saddened to announce the sudden passing of our dear sister, Rose on Monday, January 26, 1998 at the age of 69 years. Rose is survived by her sisters and brothers, Mary Grasdahl, Helen (Jim) Cummings, Wendel (Ruth) Hulm, Doris Hulm, Peter Hulm and Edith Uhrich. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to SASKATOON FUNERAL HOME and Prairie View Chapel and Crematorium.
LATOWSKI The passing of Doris Latowski, age 89 of Saskatoon occurred in Royal University Hospital on Tuesday, January 27, 1998. The Prayer Service will be held on Friday, January 30, 1998 at 7:30 p.m. and the Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 31, 1998 at 10:00 a.m., both at Park Funeral Chapel, 311 Third Avenue North, officiated by Rev. Dr. Vladimir Mudri. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Arrangements are in care of PARK FUNERAL CHAPEL, 244-2103.

PELLERIN Marcil J., aged 70 years, passed away after a brief struggle with cancer at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary, AB, on January 27, 1998. He is survived by his loving wife, Marg; four children, Barry and his wife Gwen, Debbie Selby and her husband Gary, Perry and his wife Annette and Mark and his wife Cindy; and seven grandchildren, Kelsy and Cameron Pellerin, Ryan, Trevor and Tyler Selby, and Justin and Joshua Pellerin; as well as two sisters, Irene Robison and Bernadette Kennedy and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, two brothers, Philip and Oscar and three sisters, Corine, May and Henriette. Marcil retired from the CNR after forty four years of railroading. He received much enjoyment from curling and especially using his skills as a handyman, carpenter and flower gardener. Funeral Services will be held at HERITAGE FUNERAL HOME, 1708 -16 Avenue N.W., Calgary, AB, (across from North Hill Shopping Centre) on Friday, January 30, 1998 at 1:30 p.m., Chaplain Betty Piwowar officiating. ROBINS Mabel Irene passed away peacefully on January 6, 1998, at Porteous Lodge. She was born May 9, 1905, at Creekfield, SK, the same years Saskatchewan became a province. Her parents were Charles and Estella Osborne, who had first pioneered in Saskatchewan in 1905, returned to Arden, ON, in 1910 and a year later, came back to Saskatoon. Irene took her schooling at Nutana Collegiate then Saskatoon Normal School. She taught in the country for four years then became a member of the Saskatoon Public School staff. In 1929, Mr. W.H. (Bill) Hewlett became her husband and they resided in Watrous for many years. During those years, Irene was very active in church and school organizations, the golf and badminton clubs and the dramatic society. Bill Hewlett died in 1954 and Irene went back to teaching. After attending summer school at UBC, she decided to move to Vancouver. Irene married Wilf Robins, formerly of Watrous. Wilf's first wife, Alice, passed away several years earlier but prior to that, Alice, Wilf, Bill and Irene had been golf partners in Watrous for many years. Wilf and Irene resided in Vancouver until Wilf's death in 1976. Irene returned to Saskatoon shortly after. She will be sadly missed by her nieces, Jeannie C. Welsh of Saskatoon and Madeleine E. Gronsdahl of North York; and grandnieces, Debra Brogden, Christine Kunkel and her husband Jerry, Erica Eason (Ottawa), Lori Eason (Austin), Melissa Gronsdahl (Toronto); and grandnephew, Jason Gronsdahl (North York). Interment will take place at a later date at Woodlawn Cemetery.
SANDIN Constance (Connie). (Nee: Lewis). Wife of the late Carl Helge Sandin, formerly of Dinsmore, SK passed away Monday, January 26, 1998 in Santa Maria, California. Cremation and interment will be held at a later date in Saskatoon.
WAWRYK Ernadene Dara, affectionately known as Erbby, of Nelson Island, BC, died on January 21, 1998 surrounded by family and friends. Erbby was born on September 27, 1957 in Wakaw, SK and moved to Vancouver, BC in 1977. Over the past twenty years, Erbby worked with troubled street teenagers, performed at various Children Theatre venues, developed an oyster farming business, and nurtured Katrina with Ted. Erbby will be missed by her loving husband Ted Woodard and daughter Katrina, parents Alsace and Ernest Wawryk, mother-in-law Isabel Woodard, brothers Errol and Dwight, sisters Cheryl, Charlotte, and Lynne, their spouses and children, and a vast network of extended family and friends. A Memorial Service was held at North Lonsdale United Church in Vancouver on Sunday, January 25, and a community Celebration of Life will be held on the Sunshine Coast in the Egmont Hall on Saturday, January 31. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to a charity of your choice or to a Trust Fund for Katrina at the Sunshine Coast Credit Union, Pender Harbour Branch.
WRIGHT, Marion Marion's death occurred at St. Paul's Palliative Care on Wednesday, January 29, 1998 after a courageous battle with cancer. A full notice will appear in Friday's paper.
