MASSON - On December 18, 2007, Mr. Jack Masson of Regina passed away after a courageous battle with cancer 2 days before his 72nd birthday. Jack will be sadly missed by his special friend Dianne; daughters Sarah of Regina and Jackie of Chilliwack, BC; grandchildren Cory, James, Lucas, Talen, Shania, Tarik, Kianna, Michael and Makella; sister Shirley McConnachie of Swift Current and brother Wayne of Regina. He was predeceased by three wives Naomi, Faye and Cheryl; parents Clara and John; brothers Boyd and Glenn and sisters Elaine Gin and Mae. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at St. Paul's Anglican Cathedral, 1861 McIntyre Street, Regina, SK on Friday, December 21, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. BEATTIE, JANET (NEE BLAIR) December 23, 1946 - January 9, 2008 We are deeply sad to announce that Jan passed away peacefully with her family by her side after a long courageous battle with cancer. Jan was predeceased by her father, Ken Blair. Jan is survived by her son Corey (Dawn) and their children Christian and Elijah, son Brett (Shonna) and their children Aiden and Ryan, daughter Jennifer (James Virgo), mother Muriel Blair, sisters Una Mae Blair (Dick Miller) and Frances (Ken) Pollock. A special thank you to all of the nurses, doctors, and supportive friends who made Jan's fight against cancer a more peaceful journey. Jan's wishes were for cremation and a private family memorial. Flowers are gratefully declined with donations to be made to the Palliative Care Unit, Friends of 3B, or a charity of choice. We will forever miss and never forget our mom, nan, daughter, sister and friend. All things pass, all thing that live must die. Daughter of Donald MacLeod, wife of Bud Williams passed away peacefully with her family by her side on January 10, 2008. ASH - Margaret "Marg " passed away peacefully on Monday, March 10, 2008 surrounded by her loving family. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Sharon, Debbie (Wes), Karen, Brenda (Sheldon); five special grandchildren, Ashlynn, Nathan, Cole, Kinsey and Teigan; one very special great granddaughter, Madison along with numerous brothers and sisters in law, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Norm in 1979; two sons in law, Gary and Elgin; two brothers, George and Bill and numerous brothers and sisters in law, nieces and nephews. Marg was a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxillary and a volunteer for the Canadian Red Cross. She was an avid sports player and fan. She enjoyed years of playing cards and board games, challenged herself with the daily Leader Post Word Search, and was an ardent pin collector. Marg was a devoted mother and loved any special times she had with her grandchildren and was very proud of them all. There will be no service held. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Stephen Bester and Shirley for their long time care and commitment. Thanks also to Dr. Marly Tcherni for her brief, but meaningful care of Mom. GOLDIE - Dr. G.W. Goldie (Bill) passed away on Monday, March 10, 2008 at 88 years. He is survived by his immediate family, wife Nora; son Ken (Karen); daughter Lynn (Jim) Charlton of Toronto; grandchildren, Scott (Kayleen) Goldie, Heather (Jason) Winter, Tim Goldie and Craig Goldie; six great-grandchildren and a large extended family. He was predeceased by his first wife Pat in 1968. Bill lived most of his life in Regina, served in the Royal Canadian Navy during WW2, was a graduate from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 1949, and had a busy and successful practice in Regina for 35 years. He was a life long member of the United Church, a life member of CMCC, a 50 year member of the Royal Regina Golf Club and 50 year member of King Hiram Lodge. He was an avid sportsman throughout his life. He actively participated in hockey, baseball and football in his early years and he golfed, curled and skated into his 80's. He had a sharp mind and an amazing memory for events past and present. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, March 14th at 1:30 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue with Rev. S.
