MASTEL, CAROLINE LENA (NEE FINK) - Passed away peacefully on Monday, February 16, 2004 at the age of 88. Predeceased by her husband, Bernard; her parents, Sebastian and Gertrude Fink; three brothers, Frank, Henry and Chris Fink; and one sister, Anna (Frank) Staudt. Left to cherish her memories are her son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Rita Mastel; sister, Loretta (Nick) Kraft; sisters-in-law, Anne Fink, Louise Fink and Margaret Ulrich, sisters-in-law Anne Mastel, Elizabeth Mastel and Regina Resch; brothers-inlaw, Martin (Irene) Mastel, Tony Deck and numerous nieces and nephews. VISITATION for family and friends will be held Tonight, Tuesday, February 17, 2004 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Regina Funeral Home, Highway #1 East. A FUNERAL MASS will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Child Roman Catholic Church 2636 7th Ave. East with Rev. John Weckend, Celebrant. Interment to follow at the Regina Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Friends so wishing may make donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation 2360 2nd Ave., Regina, SK, S4R 1A6. HINGSTON - Ella (nee Livingston) died April 9, 2004 after a courageous battle with cancer. She died as she lived with a sense of humour and family and friends by her side. She has gone to be with her Lord and Saviour whom she loved and served faithfully all her life. Ella leaves behind her husband, Allen; four children, Bronwyn, Graeme (Melanie), Kylee-Anne and Lynmara; mother and father, Beatrice and Erwin; sister, Marj; brothers, Kirk (Ruth) and Dean (Deana), as well as numerous nephews, nieces and many, many friends. Ella was predeceased by her brother, Carmen, and her cousin and best friend, Carolyn. Ella will be greatly missed by the many people whose lives she touched. Ella dedicated herself to the Regina Palliative Care program for 11 years. She and her "boss ", Velda Clark, worked diligently towards achieving their vision of the perfect palliative program. Ella worked tirelessly to develop their dream into reality. Ella has now truly walked each step of the palliative care program. She leaves a legacy not to be forgotten. Ella and her family would like to give special thanks and appreciation to Drs. Vuksic, Saleem, Tai and Clein and the fabulous staff of Palliative Care and Pasqua Hospital Wards 3A and 3B. They provided the care and support during treatments and her last days. Thank you for being such good friends during her life and such a comfort during her death. A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 19, 2004 at 7:00 pm at the Regina Apostolic Church, 808 Assiniboine Avenue East. Paragon Funeral Services will handle all funeral arrangements. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Ella's memory to Regina Palliative Care, Inc., 4101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina, SK S4T 1A5.

LEFEBVRE - On April 11, 2004, Jean-Louis Lefebvre, retired longtime resident of Gravelbourg, Sask. passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at St. Joseph Hospital, Gravelbourg, Sask. at the age of 94 years. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 14, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. in Our Lady of the Assumption CoCathedral, Gravelbourg, Sask. with Father Raymond Carignan officiating. For those wishing, masses or memorial gifts for the Canadian Cancer Society (C/O Box 875, Gravelbourg, Sask. S0H 1X0) will be gratefully received by the family. Interment of the ashes will follow in the Gravelbourg R.C. Cemetery. She is survived by her daughter, Doreen (Alex) Foraie; son, Spencer (Bev) Massier; 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; 2 brothers; 2 sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Adam; daughters, Darlene and Daphne; son, Ivan; 1 great granddaughter; daughter-in-law, Marion; 2 sisters and 3 brothers. Funeral Service will be held from St. Andrew's United Church, Wapella, Sask., on Wednesday, April 14, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Delta Kelly officiating. PUTZ - We are saddened to announce the sudden death of Helen Putz on June 1, 2004, at the age of 76 years, after a short battle with cancer. Helen was predeceased by her brothers, Carl Putz, Albert Putz, Philip Putz, Rudolph Putz, Joseph Putz and Alfred Putz, and her sisters, Mary Rothecker and Anna Schneider. Helen will be greatly missed by her surviving sisters, Caroline Saxby (Wilf), Theresa Zerr (Art), Emily Putz and Cathy Reid (Emmett), and her sisters-in-law, Clara Putz, Irene Putz, Armande Putz and Margaret Page. Her humour and quick wit will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews. Helen will be especially missed by her sister Emily who has been her companion and roommate for many years and by Helen's nephew Wayne Saxby, his wife Debbie and their children, Aaron, Scott, Ian and Allison, niece Lorie Todd and daughter Stephanie, nephew Danny Putz, niece Helen Harris and son John. Thank you to Dr. McMillan, Dr. Clein and the nurses on 4A at the Pasqua Hospital, especially Tricia, Tracy, Melody and Valda for their kind attention. Also thank you to Helen's friend Jean Mahoney, to Lisa Roland and Anna Kristoff for their support during this trying time. LLOYD VOGELI 1916 - 2004 Lloyd Joseph Vogeli passed away peacefully on Monday, May 31, 2004 at the Rockyview Hospital, in Calgary, Alberta from heart failure. He lived a healthy, happy and fulfilled life that centered around family. He was a very loving father and husband who unfailingly supported and encouraged his family. Dee, as he was affectionately known by his family, was happy to go on to heaven to join his wife, Mildred, who passed away in 1994. He was sad to leave his children and grandchildren behind but was comforted to know that part of him will live on through them. Dee's children and their families will miss him more than words can express: Greg, his wife Wendy and their children Zach and Zoe, Bonnie, her husband Ron and their son Kent, Grant, his wife Rita and their daughters Amanda, Ashley and Georgia. Lloyd was born and raised in southern Saskatchewan. He had a brother, Belton, and sister, Olivine, who both died before him. He fought in World War II with the Royal Canadian Navy. In 1946 Lloyd and Mildred were married. After fifteen years living in rural Saskatchewan, they moved to Regina where they raised their three children. After Mildred died, Lloyd moved to Calgary where he enjoyed the last years of his life with his children and grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at Southwood United Church in Calgary, Alberta on Thursday June 3, 2004. An interment service will be held on Saturday June 5, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery in Regina. Friends are welcome to attend. BOTT - We are sorry to announce the passing of our little sister Kathleen Joy Bott on July 2, 2004 following a recurrance of cancer and just after the celebration of her 50th birthday with her family at Phyl and Roy's home at Pilot Butte. Kathy was born on June 16th, 1954 in the Spalding Union Hospital. Unfortunately, she was born with Cerebral Palsy thus her life did not have the fullness that others enjoy, but she always had wonderful smiling eyes. Kathy received her education at the Naicam School. After Dad died in 1969 Mom and Kathy moved to Regina where she lived with Mom until her death in 1983. She continued her life at Cheshire Homes and eventually moved to Wascana Rehabilitation Center where she lived for the last fourteen years. Kathy looked forward to attending Camp East Seal at Manitou Beach annually, and she was health enough to attend the week before her death. Kathy leaves to mourn her sisters Alice (Dick) Tataryn of Anglin Lake, Phyllis (Roy) Amundson of Pilot Butte, Margaret Burt of Edmonton; her brother Bill (Florence) Bott of Melfort; many nieces and nephews as well as many cherished friends among the residents and staff at Wascana Rehabilitation Centre. Kathy was predeceased by her parents; her brother-in-law Ken Burt; one nephew; and a great niece. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Wascana Rehabilitation Centre, 2180 23rd Avenue, Regina with Rev. James Buenting of All Saints Anglican Church officiating and on Saturday, July 24, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. in Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Naicam, SK with Rev. Edward McManus officiating. Interment in Naicam Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made, in memoriam, to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre Street, Regina S4P 2R3 or the Wa Wa Shrine Patient Travel Fund, 2065 Hamilton Street, Regina S4P 2E1.
