FOREST - It is with great sadness that the family of Denis Forest announces that he has passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Wednesday, May 17th, 2006 at the age of 70 years in Moose Jaw, SK after a 25 year battle with multiple sclerosis. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 20th, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. in Parkview Funeral Chapel, with Fr. Michael Conteh officiating. Burial of cremains will take place in Willowbunch Cemetery. Denis is predeceased by his parents, Viateur and Rose Eva, and two brothers. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 47 years Cecile; sons: Mike and Paul; daughters: Marie Anne and Diana; brothers: Roger (Monique), Albert, Florent (Delores), Lionel (Loretta); sisters: Marguerite Frigon, Doris (Lucien) Lavallee, Marie Reine Rainville, Rita (Paul) Leroy, Claire Forest, Therese (John) Epp, uncle Roma Lavallee and numerous other relatives and friends. As part of the Living Legacy Planting Program, Parkview Funeral Chapel will have a tree planted in Wakamow Valley in memory of Denis. Flowers gratefully declined. HIGGINS - On Wednesday, May 17, 2006 Douglas (Doug) Harold Higgins, late of Regina, passed away at the age of 85 years, loving husband of Elizabeth (Lil) Higgins. Predeceased by his parents, Harold and Lou Higgins; brothers, George of Medicine Hat, Donald of Lethbridge; and sister, Mary Grosch of Vancouver. Survived by his wife of 56 years, Lil; and brother, Jack Higgins of Victoria. Also survived by his wife's family in Ireland, England, Australia and Canada. Doug was in the RCAF stationed in England. This is where he met Lil, the love of his life. Doug was known for his sense of humour, his sportsmanship, and the love of his family. MASCHO - Winona (nee: Ulm), age 66, passed away peacefully at her home in Saskatoon on Thursday, June 15th, 2006. She will be lovingly remembered by her stepson, Ron Mascho; sister, Irene Rowe of Regina and her daughters, Linda (Rick) Leeks, Sharon (Lyle) McCarthy; brother, Bud Ulm of Regina and his son, Brent Ulm (Cheryl); sisters-in-law, Barbara Mascho of Blaine Lake; Pauline (Len) Novak of Calgary; brothers-in-law, Bob (Gail) Mascho of Birch Hills; Joe (Norma) Mascho of Ponoka, AB as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. ROCKERBIE, DONNA PATRICIA - Passed away on June 9th, 2006 in Victoria. Donna was born of Irish descent to Clifford and Mary (nee Spooner) Towill on her mother's birthday on February 1, 1935 in Moosomin, Saskatchewan. She is survived by her loving husband Russ, and sons Kirk (Deborah), Duane (Pamela) and Neil (Holli). She will be missed by her family and friends including her cherished grandchildren Shelby, Phillip, Clifford and Jordan. Also left to mourn are her sister Marie, her brothers William and Garry, and longtime close friend and journalist Mary Suchcicki in New Jersey. She was predeceased by her parents and two brothers Arthur and Dennis. Victoria (Broadmead) became Russ and Donna's their retirement home in 1989. Donna loved to entertain on piano and guitar. She enjoyed flower gardening, tennis, golf, curling, canoeing, skiing, figure-skating, dancing, sewing, playing bridge, painting, a good mystery story, and a hearty laugh every day. She visited sights and cities worldwide with Russ, and made many lifelong friends along the way. But successfully climbing the hill of life together with Russ and family was her most satisfying achievement. Donna was an angel who came down from heaven to bring joy and happiness to her parents, to Russ and the three sons that she brought into the world, and to the many whose hearts she touched. Now she has returned. A service of remembrance will be held at Cordova Bay United Church at 813 Claremont Avenue at 2:00 PM on June 20th followed by a reception. Flowers are gratefully declined. Tributes to the Salvation Army in her memory at 3rd Floor, 777 Fort St, Victoria, V8W 1G9 will be appreciated.

SCHWEITZER - Albert Ernest, of Neudorf, SK passed away peacefully June 15, 2006 at the age of 79 years. Predeceased by an infant son, Daryl Brian and a sister, Bernice Trithart, he leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife, Frances; three children, Richard (Bonny), Sherry (Garry) Hoehn and Garnet (Lynda) all of Neudorf; ten grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren. TATE - Lorne L. born on May 3, 1921 at Dilke, SK passed away peacefully after a short illness with cancer on June 12, 2006 at Regina SK. Lorne is survived by his loving wife Alice; son Kenneth (Bev) Tate, grandsons Ross and Mike, daughter Lorna (George) Wallace, grandson Robert. Lorne attended schools in Regina, was a member of the Masons Scottish Rite, Royal Canadian Legion, fought in Sicily, Italy, Holland and Germany. He married Alice Sutherland in 1947, enjoyed traveling, golfing, biking, and woodworking, had a wonderful family and many friends. BICKFORD - George Bickford, late of Regina, passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2006 at the age of 83 years. Predeceased by his wife, Myrtle; his parents, Richard and Carrie; five brothers and sisters, Muriel, Vernon, Hazel, Lorne, and Rodney. George is survived by his sons, Warren (Catherine) of Regina and their children, Alexandra and Jessica, and Barry (Lorraine) of Calgary and their children, Pierre and Stephan; and sister Gladys of Moose Jaw. George was a dedicated family man and involved in his community. He was instrumental in founding Zion United Church in Regina. He was a Past Grand Counsellor of the United Commercial Travellers of America and Past Board Member of Carmichael United Church. OGILVIE - Susan Olive Abercromby Bell passed away on October 31, 2006. Olive was born on November 5, 1930 in Dundee, Scotland. She immigrated to Canada with her husband and three children in 1966. Olive's passions were her grandchildren and Scottish Country Dancing. Olive was a caring and loving, strong-willed person. She was predeceased by her parents, Susan and James Bell; brother, Ramsay Bell. Olive will be remembered and dearly missed by her husband, George; daughter, Sheila (Junior) Richards; sons, Alastair Ogilvie and Douglas (Lore) Ogilvie; grandchildren, Jason Richards, Shanna (Kyle) Huffman, James Ogilvie, Scott Ogilvie, Neil Ogilvie; sisters, Joyce (Dave) Herbert and Susan (Neil) Lyons (both in Scotland).
