DREHER - Richard (Rick) Clarence, passed away in hospital on Monday, January 25, 1999 at the age of 53 years. Richard was born October 6, 1945 in Regina, SK. He was predeceased by his father, George in 1964; brothers, Daniel and Frank; in-laws, Frank, Joe, Adam, Nick, Minnie and Noella. He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Dolores (Kress); two children, Calvin (Michelle) Dreher, and Tracy (Steven Kolish); grandchildren, Chelsea and Joshua; Brittany, Morgan and Kaylee; his mother, Helen Dreher; and by eight brothers and nine sisters: Kate Shick, Sedley; Helen (Carl) Lenius, Regina; Isadore (Maddie) Dreher, Francis; Lizzie Lang, Kendal; Vincent Dreher, Regina; Mary Wild, Regina; Jenny Lang, Kendal; Maggie (Herman) Schiller, Tyvan; Theresa (John) Becker, Raymond, Montana; Joe (Sharon) Dreher, Coleman, Alta.; Wendell (Evelyn) Dreher, Saskatoon; George (Rita) Dreher, Tyvan; Paul (Rachel) Dreher, Montmartre; Gabe (Donna) Dreher, Regina; Rose (Roy) Lloyd, Saskatoon; Kasper (Bettie) Dreher, Calgary, Alta.; Carol Stoudt, Surrey, B.C., and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews as well as brothers and sisters-in-law. His loves in life were his wife, Dolores, his children and wonderful grandchildren. His love of music was shown through his singing and musical talent as a drummer at the dances where he sang and played so well in the band known as "The Dreher's". He will be greatly missed by all his friends and relatives. HANISCH - Mrs. Herta Hanisch, a former resident of Jansen, Regina and Lipton, Saskatchewan, was called home to be with her Lord on Thursday, January 14th, 1999, one day after her 88th Birthday. She will be lovingly remembered by her nephew and his wife: Guenter & Marlies Gauer of Esterhazy, Saskatchewan and their family, two sisters: Selma Kiene and Luise Stuebe, one sister-in-law: Alvira Scheele, all of Germany and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Herman Hanisch in 1984. The Funeral Service was held at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kelowna, B.C. on Saturday, January 23rd, 1999 at 10:30 A.M. with Reverend James Buenting and Vicar Thomas Kersten officiating. Interment followed in the family plot at the Kelowna City Cemetery. HAZELL - ETHEL MAY (Zwicker) passed away peacefully January 23, 1999 at the Pasqua Hospital Palliative Care Unit. Predeceased by her husband Bill and recently her son Bill Jr., she was the loving mother of Sandra Donison (Sonny), Lynn Volk (Mike) both of Regina, and Bob (special friend Maxine) of Vancouver; proud grandmother of Shelley, Tracy and Shannon Donison (Barry), and Bernadette Hazell. Ethel will also be sadly missed by her special in-laws Stan and Denise Hazell of Vancouver and many good friends. The family wish to thank Dr. L. Tomkins, Dr. C. Vuksic and the nursing staff of the Pasqua Hospital for all their care and understanding. HILL - ROBERT BRYAN, passed away suddenly on January 25, 1999, at the age of 47 after a brief battle with cancer. Rob was predeceased by his parents, Alick and Alice Hill and father-in-law, Walter Balfour. Rob will be sadly missed by his loving wife-companion-and best friend, Dianne and his sons: Jayson and Keith. Rob is also survived by his brother, Gorden (Susan) of Le Duc; sister, Gail (Mark) of Edmonton; Dianne's family: mother-in-law, Jean Balfour of Winnipeg, brother-in-law, David (Maureen) Balfour of Winnipeg; sisters-in-law: Merrilee (Peter) Wilson of Ottawa and Gloria Balfour of Winnipeg; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. LUDWIKOWSKI, (LUCINA) LUCY - It is with sadness that the family of Lucy Ludwikowski, late of Regina, announce her passing on Monday, January 25, 1999. Lucy leaves behind to mourn her husband Steve of Regina, daughters Irene (Jake) & grandson Trevor of B.C.; Bernadette (Raymond) & granddaughters Jazmine, Ciarra of Regina. Sons Richard (Coralie), Johnny of Regina; Henry (Saskia) & grandson Jeremy of B.C. One brother Cas of Regina; sisters Donna (George) Lukomski of Regina & their families and sister Janina (Krys) Chalupa of Edmonton and their families. Also her many friends, workmates and acquaintances. Simply put, Lucy was a warm person with a wonderful smile who loved her family and truly cared for others. MARCHUK - NICHOLAS (NICK) passed away on Monday, January 25, 1999, after a lengthy illness at the age of 79 years. Predeceased by his parents, Michael and Vaselena; his brothers: John and Fred and sister-in-law, Pauline. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Evelyn; nieces and nephews: Patsy (Don) Stelter, Don Marchuk, Gail Rosseker and John (Darlene) Marchuk, as well great nieces and nephews: Rhonda (Ken) Grad, Chris Stelter, Dawn (Joe) Bossenberry, Tony Marchuk, Michael Rosseker, Brent and Blaine Marchuk; one great-great niece Teaghan; also special cousin Olga (Ralph) Crawford. Nick spent his life time career with Robert Simpson Co. in the Display Department. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East, (access off of Prince of Wales Drive) on Saturday, January 30, 1999 at 3:00 PM. MARJERISON - WINNIFRED HELLEN (nee Shaw). The family of Winnifred Marjerison regret to announce the passing of their mother, grandmother, sister and aunt on January 20, 1999. Winnifred was born to Stanley and Hannah Shaw on December 24, 1925 in Kenora, Ontario. She received her education in Kenora, Ontario. She graduated from Port Arthur General Hospital Nurses' Training School in 1947. She married Alexander McEwen Marjerison in 1950. She spent her lifetime working as a nurse in Central Butte Saskatchewan, where she made her home. She was predeceased by her husband Mac, her mother and father, and a younger brother Bill. She leaves her son Keith Marjerison, daughter Alexis (Bulent) Yildir, grandson Kemal to cherish her life. She also leaves sisters Ruby Lachapelle, Joan Reid, brother Jim (Shirley) Shaw all of Kenora, Ontario, brother Doug (Millie) Shaw of Sioux Narrows, Ontario, and sister Donnie (Bill) Gibson of Red Deer, Alberta and sister-in-law Lois Marjerison of Central Butte, Saskatchewan. There are many nieces and nephews who will miss her caring and concern. As she wished, cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be held at a later date in Central Butte, Saskatchewan. Floral tributes gratefully declined. Donations may be made in her memory to the Canadian Cancer Society. The family wish to express their gratitude to her care givers at The Grace Hospital and the VON. Their compassion and counseling was a comfort to her and her family.

MURPHY - HILDA IRENE MURPHY (NEE FLETCHER), passed away peacefully in the Palliative Care Unit at St. Paul's Hospital, Saskatoon, surrounded by her family on the evening of Saturday, January 23, 1999 at the age of 78 years. Hilda was a long time resident of Moose Jaw. She was predeceased by her husband, Patrick Murphy in 1984. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Church (Simon) - Dinner Plain, Australia, brother Ken Fletcher - Wales, brother-in-law Ray McCartney - Saskatoon; nieces: Colleen McCartney and Linda Scarfe - Saskatoon and other family in England. Hilda was born on January 27, 1920 in Wallasey, England. During World War II, Hilda served in the Women's Land Army (1941-1942) and then in the Women's Royal Air Force from 1942-1946 as a driver. She married Patrick on November 20, 1948 in England and then emigrated to Canada with her husband and daughter in 1952, arriving at Halifax on November 6, 1952. In later years, Hilda was well known for her involvement with breeding and showing dogs through her Vale Park Kennels. She was instrumental in the introduction and development of Bichon-Frise breed in Canada. She was also involved in the development of Bichon show standards and establishment of a national magazine for the breed. Following cremation, A MEMORIAL SERVICE TO CELEBRATE HILDA'S LIFE WILL BE HELD ON FRIDAY, JANUARY 29, 1999 AT 1:30 PM AT THE WJ JONES & SON FUNERAL CHAPEL, 106 ATHABASCA ST. E., MOOSE JAW. Reverend Ian Payne, Rector at St. John's Anglican Church will officiate. Memorialization will take place at Prairie Memorial Columbarium at a later time.
