Paul Wiens, age 43 years of Hague, SK, passed away from a brief battle with influenza on March 15, 2016 at St. Paul’s Hospital, Saskatoon, SK. He is survived by his children, Kimberly, Bryce and Brandyn; his mother Tina Wiens; siblings, Dave (Patricia) Wiens and family, Melinda (Pete) Reimer and family. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at the Grace Mennonite Church, Neuanlage, SK with Pastor Henry Janzen officiating. Interment will take place at Neuanlage Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made for Paul’s underage children, to a trust fund at Affinity Credit Union, Hague, SK. Katharina Penner

Katharina Penner (nee Peters) was born on June 22, 1926 to Klaus and Katharina Peters. She reached the age of 89 years, 8 months and 16 days. She is predeceased by her husband Wilhelm Penner; brothers John Peters and Jake Peters; sister Mary Hamm; sister-in-law Annie Peters; and brothers-in-law John Neufeld and Abe Buhler. She leaves to mourn, her children, Bill (Marilyn) Penner, Nick Penner, Jake Penner, Gloria (Ernie) Unger, Dave (Phyllis) Penner, Danny (Susan) Penner, Jean (Rod) Janzen; 24 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; sisters Eva Ashdown, Margaret Buhler, Anna Neufeld; brother Klaus (Lena) Peters; and sisters-in-law Anne Peters and Herta Peters. The Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Gruenthal Church, Gruenthal, SK with Pastor Kelly Hildebrandt officiating. Interment will take place in Gruenthal Cemetery. The death of Henry Janzen, age 85 years, occurred on March 9, 2016 at the Circle Drive Special Care Home, Saskatoon, SK. He is survived by his loving wife, Helen Janzen; daughters, Sherry Janzen; Ivy (Ben) Krahn and their son Mark; Laotion daughter Xay (Sim) Phavone and their daughter Chantel Phavone (Remik Szul) and and their daughter London; brother Bill (Elenora) Janzen; and sister-in-law Mary Janzen. He was predeceased by his parents Johann J. and Katharina Janzen; brothers John, Jacob, Frank; sisters-in-law Nettie and Elizabeth. A time of public viewing will be held on Sunday, March 13, 2016 from 6:00 – 7:00 P.M. at Bethany Manor Fellowship Centre, Saskatoon. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 14, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at the Neuanlage Grace Mennonite Church, Neuanlage, SK. Interment will take place in Neuanlage Cemetery. Harold Gipman
October 3, 1935 – February 21, 2016
The family is saddened to announce the passing of Harold Gipman, age 80 years, on Sunday, February 21, 2016 at the Rosthern Hospital surrounded by family. Left to celebrate his life sons Bernie (Jo-Anne), Byron (Penny); his daughters Bernice (Ken Klimm), Beverly (Dave Green); grandchildren Amanda (Peter Mitchell), Cody, Jordan, Jax, and William. Harold is predeceased by his wife Frances; parents Otto and Katie; brother Alan, and infant sister Mildred. Harold was born and raised in Garrick, SK. He then married the love of his life Fran Hanson and they had 45 beautiful years together. The family moved to Rosthern, SK where he worked and retired as Town Foreman. Mom and Dad spent many many memorable years at the cabin at Anglin Lake. This was Dad’s true passion. Fishing with family and friends and his favorite saying “2 bits for the 1st fish”. Dad was blessed and fortunate to have many close friends that were dear to his heart. The family would like to specially thank Lillian Larson for her enormous heart and compassion especially over these last 9 weeks. The family would also like to thank all the staff at Rosthern Hospital for taking such good care of Dad. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation, 1-2217 Hanselman Court, Saskatoon, SK S7L 6A8. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, February26, 2016 @ 11:00 A.M. at Funk’s Funeral Chapel, 1010-7th Street, Rosthern, SK.
