New Democrat MLA, Saskatoon Eastview
Bob Pringle holds a Master's Degree in Social Work. He has been Regional Director for the Department of Social Services in Saskatoon, President of the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers and the Saskatchewan Human Services Association. He was awarded the 1992 "Distinguished Service Award" by the Canadian Association of Social Workers for his professional contributions.
Mr. Pringle has been active in the Saskatoon Housing Coalition, a mental health agency, a day care co-op board, the McClure United Church, the Saskatoon Self-Help Council, and the Girls' (teen) Group Home in Saskatoon.
Mr. Pringle was first elected to the Legislature for Saskatoon Eastview in a 1988 by-election and was re-elected in 1991 and 1995.
Bob Pringle served in Cabinet as Minister of Social Services, with responsibility for Seniors and the Legal Aid Commission from September, 1993 to November, 1995. He is a member of the Government Caucus Health, Social Policy and Justice Committee.
