Babbo

Babbo, with your arms you cradled me to sleep,
With your hands you picked me up when I would weep.

Babbo, with your voice you soothed me with sweet lullabies,
As I looked up into your caring eyes.

Babbo, with your wisdom you taught me right from wrong,
And at times would illustrate your words with a poem or a song.

Babbo, with your heart you showed me how to love,
And be caring and gentle as a dove.

Babbo, with your knowledge you guided me each step of the way,
With your courage you inspired me to be what I am today.

Babbo, I will never forget you, and in this verse,
I will keep your spirit alive.
