René Beaulieu

We regret to announce the death of René Beaulieu on February 22, 2001 at the Sensenbrenner Hospital at the age of 77 years. He is predeceased by his first wife Jeanne-D'Arc as well as twelve brothers and sisters. René Beaulieu is survived by his wife Antoinette Larouche, 4 sons: Raymond Cardin husband of Desneiges of Kapuskasing, Jean-Claude Beaulieu husband of Louise of Malartic, Québec, Gérald Beaulieu husband of Yvonne, Réjean Beaulieu husband of Martine all of Kapuskasing, one daughter: Nicole Drouin wife of Raymond of Timmins, two sisters: Juliette Dumoulin of Perterborough, Fernande Veilleux of Kapuskasing, six brothers: Harvey of Matheson, Oscar of Matachewan, John of Harty, Maurice of Kapuskasing, Roger of Niagara Falls, David of Kapuskasing, as well as 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Funeral Service was held on February 26, 2001 at the Notre Dame des Victoires Church in Kapuskasing with Father Roger Pronovost officiating. Burial followed at the Kapuskasing Cemetery.

Marcel Paquette

We regret to announce the death of Marcel Paquette on February 20, 2001 at the Sensenbrenner Hospital at the age of 68 years. He is predeceased by one brother Armand Paquette and one sister Paulette Labrecque. Marcel Paquette is survived by his wife Madeleine Paquette, three sons: Rémi, Luc partner of Tanja of Kapuskasing, Daniel husband of Anie all of Kapuskasing, two sisters: Émilienne Leboeuf of St Eustache, Québec, Gisèle Paquette of Montréal Nord, two brothers: Paul Paquette of Pointe Calumet, Louis Paquette of St Lin, as well as two grandchildren. Funeral service will be held on February 24, 2001 at the Immaculée Conception Church in Kapuskasing. Cremation will follow at the Hillcrest Crematorium in Matheson. Donations to the Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.

Jeannette Lepage

We regret to announce the death of Jeannette Lepage on February 12, 2001 at the Sensenbrenner hospital at the age of 74 years. She is predeceased by her brother Wilfrid White. Mrs Jeannette Lepage is survived by her husband Gérald Lepage of Kapuskasing, five sisters: Eveline Boucher, Estelle Maheu, Marie, Noella White all of St Catharines, Irène Gosselin of Kelowna Bristish Columbia, two brothers: Normand White of Stoney Creek, and François White of Towananda, New York. Funeral service was held on February 14, 2001 at the Immaculée Conception Church. Burial followed at the Kapuskasing Cemetery. Donations to the Sensenbrenner hospital would be greatly appreciated.

Lydia Mador

We regret to announce the death of Lydia Mador on December 19, 2000 at the Sensenbrenner hospital, Kapuskasing at the age of 80 years. She is survived by her husband Roland Mador, 1 daughter: Corinne Vaillancourt of Kapuskasing, 4 sons: Denis husband of Joan of Moncton N.B., Claude husband of Marna of Toronto, Marcel husband of Lise of Gatineau, Ian husband of Adreanna of Toronto, sisters: Liana Seredenski of Kapuskasing, Aline Benedetti of Kapuskasing, brothers: Roger Beaulieu of Terrace Bay, Raymond Beaulieu of Kapuskasing, Robert Beaulieu of Kapuskasing as well as 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. The funeral service was held on December 23, 2000 at the Immaculée Conception Church in Kapuskasing. Burial followed at the Kapuskasing Cemetery.

Mrs. Ella Harvey

We regret to announce the death of Mrs. Ella Harvey at the Sensenbrenner hospital, Kapuskasing at the age of 96 years. She is predeceased by her husband Ernest Harvey. Ella Harvey is survived by 1 daughter: Sheila Brideaux wife of Richard of Sault Ste Marie, 3 sons: Ray Harvey husband of Clothilde of Kapuskasing, Len Harvey of Kingston, Brian Harvey husband of Eileen of High Prairie, Alberta as well as 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held on December 15, 2000 at the St Mark's Anglican Church, Kapuskasing with Rev. Frank Mason officiating. Burial will follow at the Kapuskasing Cemetery.

Fernande Goulet (Desjardins)

We regret to announce the death of Fernande Goulet (Desjardins) on February 12, 2001 at home at the age of 78 years. She is predeceased by her first husband Roland Desjardins and her second husband Wilfrid Goulet. She is survived by her son Jean-Luc Desjardins husband of Ginette of Opasatika, her daughter Sr. Lorraine Desjardins of Ottawa, two sisters: Jeanne Desjardins of Kapuskasing, Laurence Demers of Timmins, her brother Claude Guenette of Smooth Rock Falls as well as 2 grandchildren Manon and Sebastien. Funeral service was held at the Immaculée Conception Church in Kapuskasing on February 15, 2001. Burial followed at the Kapuskasing Cemetery.

Derrick Turgeon

We regret to announce the death of Derrick Turgeon on February 8, 2001 at the age of 15 years. Derrick is survived by his parents Gaston and Guylaine Turgeon, his sister Tammy, grandparents: Antonio and Diane Fontaine all of Kapuskasing, grandmother Cécile Turgeon, 3 aunts: Brenda Coté of Timmins, Lisette Frechette wife of Léo of Moonbeam, Noëlla Gauthier wife of Renaud of White River, 10 uncles: Robert Fontaine of Kapuskasing, Julien Turgeon husband of Céline, of Cochrane, Conrad Turgeon husband of Francine of Hearst, Bertrand Turgeon husband of Lise of Timmins, Normand Turgeon husband of Mary-Lou of Sault Ste Marie, François Turgeon husband of Aline of Sault Ste Marie, Raymond Turgeon husband of Germaine of Kapuskasing, Jacques Turgeon husband of Nancy of Marathon, Maurice Turgeon husband of Jane of London, and Claude Turgeon husband of Noëlla of Kapuskasing. Derrick was predeceased by his grandfather Athanase Turgeon. Funeral service was held on February 12, 2001 at the Notre Dame des Victoires Church in Kapuskasing at 2:00 p.m. with Father Roger Pronovost officiating. Burial followed at the Kapuskasing Cemetery. Donations to the Kapuskasing Youth Center Skate Park Project would be greatly appreciated.

Philippe Bedard

We regret to announce the death of Philippe Bedard on Thursday February 8, 2001 at the Sensenbrenner hospital at the age of 75 years. He is survived by his wife Jacqueline of Kapuskasing, 3 sons: Pierre husband of Alice, Daniel husband of Denise of Kapuskasing, Michel husband of Adeline of Moonbeam, 3 daughters: Suzanne Lanthier wife of Aurel of Sexsmith, Alberta, Madeleine Blais of Grand Prairie Alberta, Patricia Bedard of Edmonton, Alberta, 2 sisters: Rita Chainey of Kapuskasing, Thérèse Morin of St Catherine, 2 brothers: Camille Bedard of Kapuskasing, Raymond Bedard of Kapuskasing, as well as 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Funeral service was held on February 12, 2001 at the Notre Dame des Victoires Church in Kapuskasing with Father Roger Pronovost officiating. Burial will follow at the Kapuskasing Cemetery.

Lucille Roussel

We regret to announce the death of Lucille Roussel on Sunday February 4, 2001 at the Sensenbrenner hospital at the age of 70 years. She is predeceased by her husband Marcel and her daughter Diane Roussel. Lucille Roussel is survived by 3 sons: Gilbert husband of Jeannette, Noel husband of Marielle, Denis husband of Sylvie. 3 daughters: Georgette Comeau wife of Ron, Lise Lecuyer wife of Donald all of Kapuskasing, Jeannette Mahamood wife of Ghanani of Toronto, 3 sisters: Florence Boudreau of Kapuskasing, Robéa of Kirkland Lake, Fleurette Millette of Penetang, 3 brothers René Millette of Wawa, Alphège Millette of Sault Ste Marie, Yvon Millette of Manitouwadge as well as 15 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Funeral service was held on February 9 at the Notre Dame des Victoires Church in Kapuskasing. Cremation at the Hillcrest Crematorium in Matheson.

Pierre Brooks

We regret to announce the death of Pierre Brooks on Saturday February 3, 2001 in Opasatika at the age of 54 years. He is survived by his wife Denise of Opasatika, his mother Carmel Brooks of Kapuskasing, 2 sons: Michel friend of Melissa of Kapuskasing, Brian friend of Valérie of Opasatika, one daughter: Julie Hébert wife of Réal of Kapuskasing, 6 sisters: Monique Deschènes, Lisa Laberge, Linda Turgeon all of Kapuskasing, Janine Belshaw of Sudbury, Lorraine Bélanger of Hearst, Aline Carrier of Mattice, 5 brothers: Raymond, Donald, Luc, Pat all of Kapuskasing, Walter of Chateau-Vicher, Québec as well as 2 grandchildren Martin and Annick. Pierre Brooks was predeceased by his father Patrick in 1979. Funeral service was held on February 8,2001 at the St Antoine de Padoue Church in Opasatika. Burial followed at the Opasatika Cemetery.

Bruno Gendron

We regret to announce the death of Bruno Gendron on February 1, 2001 in Rouyn- Noranda at the age of 86 years. He is survived by his wife Marguerite Baril Gendron of Rouyn-Noranda, one brother Georges Gendron and brother-in-law Eugène Gagné of Kapuskasing as well as many nephews and nieces. Funeral service was held on February 5, 2001 at the Immaculée Conception Church in Kapuskasing, Burial followed at the Kapuskasing Cemetery.

Lawrence O'Malley

We regret to announce the death of Lawrence O'Malley on January 4, 2001 at the Sensenbrenner hospital at the age of 75 years. He is survived by his companion Georgette Brouillette, three sons: Pat husband of Lucille of Kapuskasing, Bryan husband of Dee of Taiwan, Dan husband of Caroline of England, one daughter: Carole Anne Lalonde wife of Andy of Ottawa, six stepchildren: Suzanne Doyle wife of Rhéal of Val Rita, Aline Séguin wife of Norm, Vital Brouillette husband of Francine, Marcel Brouillette husband of Jane, Mona Nolet wife of Paul all of Kapuskasing, Guy Brouillette husband of Lucie of St Eustache, one sister, Freda Roy of Oakville, one brother: Osmond of Cochrane, six grandchildren: Roger, Alexandra, Shannon, Karen, Joëlle and Eric. Funeral service was held on January 8, 2001 at the St Patrick`s Church in Kapuskasing with Father Leo Papineau officiating. Burial followed at the Kapuskasing Cemetery.

Patricia Gosselin

We regret to announce the death of Patricia Gosselin on December 26, 2000 at the Sensenbrenner hospital, Kapuskasing at the age of 67 years. She was predeceased by her husband Wilfrid in 1996. Patricia Gosselin is survived by 4 sons: Richard husband of Shirley of Hearst, Gerry of Thunder Bay, Larry and Yvon of Kapuskasing, 1 daughter: Denise Doucet wife of Daniel of Kapuskasing as well as 6 grandchildren. Funeral services were held on December 29, 2000 at the St Patrick's Church in Kapuskasing with Father Leo Papineau officiating. Burial followed at the Kapuskasing Cemetery.
