At the Grey Bruce Health Services, Southampton on Monday, November 26th, 2001, in his 83rd year, Orland Howe of Port Elgin. Husband the former Agnes Waring. Father of Wayne of Waterdown, Diane and her husband James Holman of Brampton, Wanda and her husband Jim Graham of Ridgetown, and Jayne and her husband Mike Mather of Southampton. Grandfather of Tracey, Shelley, Robin, Christa, Scott, Susan, David, Marla, Curtis, Erin and Jennifer. Great-grandfather of Breanne and Codey, Deneige, Selina and Orion, and Jack. Brother-in-law of Florence Howe of Port Elgin. Predeceased by his brothers Elwood Howe and Emerson Howe, and by his sisters Vera Bradley, Bessie McKenzie, and Verna Heffner.

Friends may call at the W. Kent Milroy Port Elgin Chapel, 510 Mill St., Port Elgin, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in Port Elgin United Church, on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Gordon Williams and Pastor Bob Johnston officiating.

Interment Sanctuary Park Cemetery, Port Elgin.

Thede, Kenneth Albert, "Peaker"

Suddenly at the Grey Bruce Health Services, Southampton on Wednesday November 21, 2001, in his 73rd year, Peaker Thede of Port Elgin. Dear husband of Maryann. Loving Dad of Barbara and her husband Terry Faulkner of Saugeen Shores, (Port Elgin) and Nancy Thede and her husband Gerry Cotter of Newfoundland. Grandfather of Cory and Terrilynn Faulkner, Nicki Thede, Shane Baker and Matthew Cotter. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Grace Thede, nieces, nephews and cousins and wives. Predeceased by sisters Dorothy Crawford, Gladys Pryor and brothers Ted, Jack and Dean.

Friends may call at the W. Kent Milroy Port Elgin Chapel, 510 Mill St., Port Elgin, on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday at 11:00 am. with the Rev. Bob Johnston officiating.

Dekker, Koert

At the Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound, on Tuesday, November 20th 2001, at the age of 56, Koert Dekker of Port Elgin. Dear husband of Bev, son of Jentje Parsons, both of Port Elgin. He will be missed by Janis of London and Stephen of New Brunswick. Grandpa to Hailey and Graham. He is also survived by his sisters Ida, Helen, Jane, and Shirley, by his brother Ralph, and by his stepsister Betty. He is predeceased by his father Koert Dekker and his step-father Bill Parsons.

Wright, Dorothy

At South Bruce Grey Health Services, Kincardine, on Tuesday, November 20th, 2001, in her 71st year, the former Dorothy Woodhouse of Tiverton and Toronto. Wife of Leonard Wright. Mother of William Allison of Toronto. She is also survived by her granddaughter Tammie Allison, by her grandson Bill Allison. Dorothy is survived by many nieces and nephews of the Mackareth, Cormier and Woodhouse families. She is predeceased by her daughter Linda Allison.

At Elgin Abbey in Chesley, on Friday. November 9th, 2001, at the age of 92 years, John Gold of Paisley, husband of the late Beulah Burnett, father of David and his wife Patricia of Chatsworth, and grandfather of Mike, Marty, and Rob. Great-grandfather of Chantelle and Andre. He is survived by his brother-in-law James Scott of Barrie.

Friends may call at the W. Kent Milroy Paisley Chapel, 216 Queen St. S., Paisley, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Monday. Funeral service will be conducted in the chapel on Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 p.m.

Littek, Reinhold

At his residence on Tuesday, November 6th, 2001 at the age of 71 years, Reinhold Littek of Port Elgin. Husband of Thea Littek. Father of Reinhart von Nostitz of Delta, B.C., Arnim Littek and his wife Celeste of Wellington, New Zealand, and Evelyn Littek and Gary Greig of Port Elgin. Grandfather of Anna-Thea Littek. He is also survived by three sisters and one brother.

Stow, Frederick Arnold

In Owen Sound, on Friday, September 21st, 2001 in his 81st year, Frederick Arnold Stow of Southampton. Beloved husband and best friend of the former Dorothy Joyce Reinhart.

Veteran of WW II (Grey and Simcoe Foresters) and a graduate of Sandhurst Military College, England. Also survived by a dearly loved family, son Rick and his wife Cynthia of New Liskeard; daughter Nancy Stow of Toronto; grandchildren, Tiffany Stow and her partner Michael Gore of New Liskeard, Twyla Stow of Ottawa, Stefan Pohl of Toronto; two great-grandsons, Winter and Noble Stow-Gore. Also survived by brother Edwin and his wife Jean of Nepean, and many cherished friends and relatives. He is predeceased by his parents Edwin A.G. and Mabel (Ducker) Stow, and by his sister May Johnson.

At the request of the deceased, and in thankfulness for life, the body has been sent to a Medical Research Centre. Fred was an elder in the Presbyterian Church in Canada for 33 years. A Memorial and Thanksgiving for Life Service will be celebrated in St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Southampton, on Saturday, October 27th, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Ken Wild officiating. Friends will be received in the Church Hall following the Service.

Keel, Frederick Albert

Having gone to be with the Lord, at the Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound, on Wednesday, October 24th, 2001 at the age of 81 years, Fred Keel of Port Elgin and formerly of Toronto. Husband of the late Eugenie “Gene” Self. Father of David of Toronto, Gordon and his wife Preeti of Salt Springs Island, B.C. and Jamie Cooper of Missouri. Grandfather of Jennifer Keel and Ryan and Timothy Cooper. Special friend of Jareth Andersen of Port Elgin. Uncle of Arden Hiller, Jeanette Halliday and Donald Keel. He is predeceased by his sister Jessie Bradley and by his brother George Keel.

Fraser, Cameron McGregor

Suddenly at London Health Services Centre, South Street Campus, London, on Thursday, October 18th 2001, at the age of 58, Cam Fraser of Underwood. Left to mourn his passing are his wife, the former Paula Ann DeMers, his children, David McGregor and his wife Merriam of Kingston, Craig Alexander and his wife Marie, Laura Elizabeth and her spouse Craig Hunt all of London. His grandchildren Adam McGregor Fraser, Samuel Isaac Fraser, Joshua James Fraser, Karla Paula Alvarado, Erick Alexander Alvarado, Jayden Cameron Hunt and Sylina Paula Fraser. He is also survived by his brothers-in-law Thomas Robinson of Brandon, Robert DeMers and his wife Susan, Gary DeMers and his wife Patricia all of Toronto, Albert DeMers and his wife Chris of Illinois, Donald and his wife Trudy of Windsor, Roland and his wife Sharon of Strathroy and Larry and his wife Gail of Woodstock, sisters-in-law June Sinclair and Elaine Hussey both of Windsor, and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Cam was born in Glasgow, Scotland on April 23, 1943 to Thomas McGregor and Jane Fraser. He is predeceased by his first wife the former Lynda Finch Fraser, brother James Fraser, sister Reta Campbell Robinson, and sister-in-law Joan Fraser. He immigrated to Canada in 1947. Cam recently retired from Ontario Hydro. His corneas were donated so that the gift of sight could be enjoyed again through his eyes. He loved the outdoors, camping, shooting sports and most of all his family and friends. We will all keep his memory alive and will always miss him.

At the Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound, on Wednesday, October 3, 2001, in her 69th year, the former Mildred Cameron of Saugeen First Nation. Wife of the late Pastor Leslie Ritchie. Dear mother of Sheldon of Saugeen First Nation. Grandmother of Mark, Cole, Adrian & Tyler. Great-grandmother of Shainia Joy. She is predeceased by her sons, Glenn and Terry and by her grandson Cavin.

Schwandt, Muriel Elizabeth

At the Grey Bruce Health Services, Southampton, on Tuesday, October 2nd, 2001, in her 88th year, the former Muriel Fawcett. Wife of the late Harvey Schwandt. Mother of Wayne and his wife Jean of R.R. #3, Tiverton, and Terry of Tiverton. Mother-in-law of Anne Schwandt of Port Elgin. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Sister of Dorothy Grandsden and Gordon Fawcett, both of Tara. Sister-in-law of Doreen Fawcett, Ruth Fawcett, Ev Morrison and Vi Schwandt. She is predeceased by her son Keith, three brothers and one sister.
