John “Wayne” Burroughs

At the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus on Tuesday, March 17, 2009, John “Wayne” Burroughs, at the age of 68 years. Born in Chatham in 1940, son of the late Eleanor Glover and Jack Burroughs, he was an elementary school teacher for the Roman Catholic Separate School Board. Dear father of Michelle of London, Darren of Chatham and Jason also of Chatham. Sadly missed by grandchildren; Jessie, Zachary, Nathanial and Philip. Brother of Robert "Bob" Burroughs and his wife Carol of Chatham.
At Wayne’s request a private family service will be held. Cremation will follow. Donations to the Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.

Ralph Harry Manning

Peacefully at his residence in Blenheim on Thursday, March 19, 2009, Ralph Harry Manning, age 98 of Blenheim, beloved husband of Isabel (Haines) Manning. Born in Chatham in 1910, Son of the late Margaret Schonith and Harry Manning. Ralph owned and operated B & M Manufacturing. He will be sadly missed by a special daughter Candy McGuigan and her husband Al and their family of Blenheim and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by 2 sisters; Norma Bourdeau, Helen Prosser and by 2 brothers; Garfield and Carl Manning. Friends and relatives may call at the Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Blanche Charron

Was called home at Riverview Gardens, on Tuesday, March 31, 2009, at age 93. Born in Dover Township, daughter of the late Bella and Napoleon Charron. She will be sadly missed by: a brother Gerard Charron and his wife Maria of St. Joachim, sisters Jeanne and her husband John Dupuis of Foymount, Annette Martin of Tilbury, and Evelyn and her husband Clifford Quinlan of Maidstone. She will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. Dear sister-in-law of Rosaire Sterling of Pain Court and Clara Charron of Chatham. She is predeceased by brothers Omer, Armand, Leopold, Hector and Roland Charron and sisters, Velina, Cecile, and Florence Charron, Laurette Boucher, Therese Sterling. Coombe, Terry Sr.

Passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Tuesday March 31, 2009 at the age of 66 years. Cherished husband of Ruthann (nee Bryan) with whom he celebrated 42 years of marriage. Adored father of Daveleen Coombe, Terry-Lee and husband Grant Gregory, Wayne and wife Roberta Coombe, Brandy Lane and husband Jason Perkins, and Terry Jr. and wife Kathy Coombe. Precious grandfather of Melissa, Jacob, Larissa, Allison, Brittany, Mitchell, Joshua, Brandon, Carly, Daniella, Nickolas and Alexandria. Born January 27, 1943, dearest son the late Clinton and Wava Coombe. Beloved brother to Judy and Allan McLaughlin, Warren and Linda Coombe, the late Wayne Coombe, Randy and Elsa Coombe and Brian Coombe. Terry worked at Chrysler’s in Windsor.

Boleslaw "Bill" Gebal

Peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus on Sunday, April 5, 2009, Boleslaw "Bill" Gebal, at the age of 96 years. Beloved husband of the late Maria (Golab) Gebal (2002). Born in Wojciechow, Poland in 1912, son of the late Anna Murat and Wojciech Gebal, Bill came to Canada in 1949, farmed in Dover Township, worked for Libby's for 25 years, was a past member of the Polish Canadian Club and a member of Our Lady of Victory Church. Loving father of Joseph (Wladyslawa) of Dover Township, John of Chatham and Stan also of Chatham. Sadly missed by 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Loving father of Tony and his wife Carmella of Kitchener, Josephine Lourie and husband Stephen of Chatham and John of Merlin. Grandfather of Aldo, Gulianna, Simon, Jessica, Brandon and Anthony. Dear brother of Maria Meriano of Chatham and Michele Bocchino of Chatham. Former spouse of Giselda Bocchino also of Chatham. He is predeceased by brothers and sisters in Italy. Born in Windsor on October 16, 1937, daughter of the late Emily (Guilbeault) and Jacob Meloche, she was a supervisor for many years at Campbell's Soup. She will be sadly missed by her daughters, Joanne Vande Sompel (Dan), Lilly Wigle (Darren), Elaine Edmondson (Doug), and sons Raymond and Jacob Sr. (Tracey) Trudell, 11 grand and 2 great-grandchildren, and step-children; Jerome Emery (Barbara), Helen Maenpaa (Randy), Janine Arnel (Richard), Richard Emery and Paulette Emery, sisters Louella Lessard and Jeannette Therrien (Marcel) and 3 brothers Clarence (Pat), Clemma (Aline) and Albert (Carol) all Meloche. She is predeceased by a daughter Susan Bishop (2007) and husband Lowell, a brother Clifford Meloche and sisters Mina Sumner and Bella Gouin. Born in Tilbury North Township in 1928, daughter of the late Agnes Beaune and Louis Gagnier, she was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church. Loving mother of Andrea M. Houle of Chatham, Kathryn Van De Wynckel (Larry) of Chatham, Marlene Atkinson (Bill) of Chatham, Cheryl Carroll (Brian) of Chatham, Ellen Ball (Dennis) of Chatham and Susan Van Raay (Dave) of Chatham. Sadly missed by 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Blanche Mosco of Windsor, Bernice Houle (Maurice) of Chatham, Germaine St. Pierre of Belle River, Betty Alexander (Jerry) of Belle River, Georgina Marcoux (Ivan) of Belle River, Bernard Gagnier (Marguerite) of Pain Court, Norman Gagnier (Bernadette) of Chatham and Stanley Gagnier of Windsor. Born in the Ukraine in 1917 son of the late Barbar Ivanicki and Nikola Malyk. Dmytro worked at Libby's before his retirement. Loving father of Mary Surita and husband John Kean of Chatham. Sadly missed by grandchildren; Taras and wife Raeann of Chatham and Nadia Surita of Windsor, great grandfather of Ethan.

Margaret Rainford Cadotte

At Chatham-Kent Health Alliance surrounded by family, on Tuesday, June 9, 2009, Margaret Rainford Cadotte, age 91 of Chatham, beloved wife of the late Orley (1995). Born in Saskatchewan in 1918, daughter of the late Mary (Green) and John Ambrose, she was manager of Zellers until she retired in 1984 and was a member of the Moose Lodge #1692. She will be sadly missed by: her loving children, Roger (Winnie) of Tupperville, Grant (Betty Anne) of London, Carl (Bea) of Wallaceburg, Barry (Sharon) and Bonnie Fuchs (John) Patty Gluvakovich, Peggy Hooper (Larry), Sharon Sinclair (Roy), all of Chatham, Larry (Lillian) of Pain Court, Wendy Marentette (Doug) of Tilbury and Betty Clayton (Dave) of Pain Court, 26 grand and 33 great-grandchildren and a brother John Ambrose (Margaret) of London. Predeceased by brother William and sisters Mary and Daisy. Taken from the Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham to be cremated. Adrianna Jean O’Rourke

On June 10, 2009, at the age of 88, Adrianna Jean O’Rourke (nee Elenbaas) died peacefully in her sleep at Marshall Gowland Manor, Sarnia. Beloved wife of the late Clarence O’Rourke (1988). Predeceased by her parents Casey (1980) and Thona (1985), brothers Stewart (1940) and Jacob (1941), and sister Sara ‘Sally’ Stallan (Herlick) (Nagle) (2008).

Cherished sister of Casey Elenbaas (Florida). Sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, their families, and her friends at Marshall Gowland Manor. Jean is also survived by relatives in the Netherlands.

Jean was born in the Netherlands and immigrated with her family to Chatham, Ontario. She worked for many years on the maternity ward at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Chatham.

Resting at the Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham from 7-9 pm on Friday June 12, 2009 and again Saturday from 10 am until the time of service. Chapel Service will be conducted at Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home on Saturday June 13, 2009 at 11 am with Fr. Richard Saldanha of St. Joseph’s Church officiating. She will be sadly missed by: her daughter, Joanne Dolson and her husband David, a son in law Gerald Doher, and a daughter in law Clare Ball all of Chatham, 9 grandchildren, Shannon, Shawn, Michele, Sue-Ann, Dawn, Sandee, Ginny, Melissa and Matthew, 16 great grand children and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a son Michael Ball (1993), a daughter Mylene Doher (2008), a grandson Mickey Ball (1982) and 2 sisters, Mary St. Pierre and Eileen McIlhargey, and 2 brothers, Leo and Archie McIlhargey. Together for 51 years and taken the same day to be together forever on Wednesday June 17, 2009. Joseph is retired from Bell Canada and Dorothy is retired from Navistar International. Cherished and loving parents of Craig Schneikart and his wife Melissa and their children Joshua and Abigail of Chatham. Dorothy’s parents were Reginald Pickard and Marjorie Schupe and sadly missed by her brother Jerry Pickard and his wife Caroline of Chatham and predeceased by brother’s Bill and Bob. Suddenly in Chatham, on Tuesday, June 23, 2009, Valerie Lynn Jennifer Barber, at age 26 years. Sadly missed by spouse Paul Dawdry of Chatham. Born in Windsor in 1982 daughter of Brenda (White) Meloche of Hamilton and the late John Barber. Dear mother of Anthony Round and Joey Reid both of Chatham. Step mom to Amber Dawdry and Luke Dawdry both of Chatham. Sister of Sandra Barber (Gordon Pepper), Lisa Barber (Damian Primeau) and Amanda Barber (T.J. Pryor) all of Chatham, Paul and Andy Meloche of Hamilton, Ryan and Richard Meloche of Windsor and Angel Meloche of Calgary. Sadly missed by her Meme Mable Meloche of Windsor, her grandmother Margaret White of Leamington, her grandfather Dave Barber of Hamilton, by god parents Sheila and Ed Ouellette of Windsor and many nieces and nephews.

At Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, on Saturday, July 4, 2009, John Gerald Gleeson, age 73, of Fletcher, beloved husband of Jean (Van De Wynckel). Born in Chatham in 1936, son of the late Marie Josephine (Blonde) and Joseph Gerald Gleeson, he farmed in Fletcher all his life and was a member of the K. of C. St. Joseph Council 10436 and the Father Andrew Michael Taggart Assembly, 4th Degree K. of C. John was a Past Grand Knight and former District Deputy of the Knights of Columbus, and a councilor and deputy reeve for 12 years of the Tilbury East Township. He will be sadly missed by his cherished children, Michael of Chatham, Julia Verschuere (Ron) of Pain Court, Stephen (Colleen) and V. Patrick of Fletcher, 6 grandchildren, Jonathon Verscheure, Marcus, Joshua, Griffin, Alexander, and Clarissa Gleeson, 3 sisters, Maryann Roberts (Sam) of Windsor, Sr. Eleanor Gleeson O. S. U., and Sr. Karen Gleeson O. S. U., and a brother Rev. Fr. Vincent J. Gleeson of Belle River. He is predeceased by a granddaughter Brittany Verscheure. At Riverview Gardens, on Tuesday, July 7, 2009, Donald Orville Sterling of Chatham. Born in Dover Township, son of the late Theresa (Couture) and Dominic Sterling. He will be sadly missed by: his children; Mike Sterling and his wife Kathy of Dresden and Kathy Ramandt of St. Thomas; his granchildren Jesse and Stephanie Ramandt, Jessica and Ryan Thibeault; a sister Cecile Ghan, and 2 brothers; Clifford Sterling, Rosaire Sterling and his wife Ruth, all of Chatham. He will also be missed by his sister in laws Maureen and Betty Sterling and by many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brothers Lionel and Jerry Sterling. Wallace "Wally" James Robertson

At the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, on Sunday, July 12, 2009, Wallace "Wally" James Robertson, age 91 of Chatham, beloved husband of the late Irma (Joseph) Robertson (2000). Born in Scotland in 1917 son of the late Eliza MacIntosh and Robert Robertson, Wally was a painter by trade. He will be sadly missed by his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

At his request, cremation has taken place and a private family burial of ashes will be held at a later date in Maple Leaf Cemetery. Donations to the Legion Poppy Fund would be appreciated.

John Joseph "Jack" Bonner

Passed away peacefully in his sleep in the comfort of his home in his 77th year, Monday, November 16, 2009. Beloved husband of Pat for 50 years. Loving father of Ron (Jacquie), Sharon and Kelly. Grandfather of Jesse, Karlee, Cory (Katherine), Dana (Tanya). Great-grandfather of Amber, Kayla, Conner, and baby on the way. Survived by his mother in law Helen Gardner, brother Bernard (Irene), and sister Theresa Ruetz (Don), sisters in law Jane, Bonnie, brothers in law Gerry (Chris), Jim (Landis) and Randy (Marlene). Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his parents James and Rose Bonner, father in law Murray Gardner, sister Margaret Musson, and brothers in law Tim Gardner and Norman Boismier. Jack was retired from Siemens after 30 years of service. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, bowling, spending time with family, friends, and making people smile. He will be deeply missed by many. Thomas Walsh

At the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham, on Saturday, November 14, 2009, Thomas Guy Walsh, age 93, of Chatham, beloved husband of the late Ruth (Crawford) Walsh (1989). Born in Montreal in 1916, son of the late Stella MacKenzie Spence and Ernest Walsh. Proud and loving father of Mary Giroux of Chatham. Dearly missed by his little companion Tabitha. Thomas was a Railway Supervisor for the Canadian Pacific Railway. He was known for his love of animals and golfing. Thomas was very fond of Nature and especially loved being outdoors. Sadly missed by nephew Anthony Walsh, his wife Janet and their children Anthea and Matthew, niece Karen Perinot, her husband Gerry and their children Vanessa and Ronda, nephew Leigh Walsh and his wife Carol, niece Ann Walsh and her children Virginia and Brenda, granddaughters Michelle, and Monique and great granddaughter Gabrielle. Friends and relatives may call at the Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday, November 20th. Parish Prayers will be offered at 6:30 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday November 21, 2009 at 10:00 am in St. Joseph's Church. Burial will be in Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham. Donations to St. Joseph's Church Restoration Fund, the Chatham Food Bank, the Humane Society or the Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.

Edward Vaclav Capek

Passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at the age of 66 years. He is the son of the late Vaclav and Antonia Capek. Edward was born in the former Raleigh Township, where he farmed most of his life. Cherished father of Michelle and husband Matthew Picard of Chatham and proud grandfather of Rachel Picard. Dear brother of Frank (Mary) Capek of Chatham and Josephine and (the late Jack) Campbell of London. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Edward was a retired employee of International Harvester. Friends and relatives may call at the Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday November 26, 2009. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Agnes Church on Friday, November 27, 2009 at 10 am. Parish prayers Thursday at 7 pm. Burial will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery. Donations to the Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.

Louis Joseph Ouellette

After a long and courageous battle with cancer, at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, on Saturday, December 5, 2009, Louis Joseph Ouellette, age 78, of Pain Court, beloved husband of Patricia (Peltier). Born in Chatham in 1931, he was son of the late Zelia (Poissant) and Wilfred Ouellette. He will be sadly missed by his loving daughters, Michelle Lozon (Romeo) of Grande Pointe her children Tim (fiancé Jennifer) and Jeff (fiancé Tiffany), and Anita Renwick (Richard) of Merlin and her children Debbie (Matthew) and Richard (Sheena) and great-grandson “Little Max”, 3 brothers Gerald (Betty Ann) of Chatham, James and Donald (Mary Ann) all of Pain Court, a sister-in-law Donna Ouellette of Dresden and a brother-in-law John Brady of Raleigh. He is predeceased by 2 brothers Maurice and Victor and a sister Jeannette Brady. Louis worked for Eaton Springs for 25 years as well as farmed in Dover and was a member of le club de L’amitié de Pain Court. Friends and relatives may call at the Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday where Parish Prayers will be offered at 3 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at 10 a.m. in Immaculée Conception Church, Pain Court. Burial will be in Immaculée Conception cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

David Weaver

At Sunnybrook Hospital, Toronto, on Wednesday May 9, 2012, David Franklin Weaver, age 71, of Mississauga and formerly Chatham.

Born in Chatham in 1940, son of the late Genevieve Mulhern and Gordon Weaver. David is retired from Erindale Secondary School where he was a Physics Teacher.

He is survived by a brother Jim Weaver and wife Lyda of Pefferlaw Ontario. Predeceased by a brother Ken Weaver. Friends and relatives may visit at the Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) from 2- 4 and 7- 9 pm on Friday May 11, 2012.

Funeral Service will be conducted in The Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday May 12, 2012 at 11 am.

Burial will be in Arnold Cemetery. Donations to the Cancer Society would be appreciated.
