Peacefully at the Ottawa Hospital Civic Campus on Wednesday August 20, 2008 at the age of 82. Beloved wife of Oscar. Loving mother of Joanne (Luc), Yves, Giselle (the late Geoff), Michel (Nicole), Diane(Paul), Robert (Lise), Richard and the late Bernard. Dear sister of 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Westboro Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 403 Richmond Road (at Roosevelt) on Monday, August 25, 2008 from 11a.m. until service time in the Chapel at 2p.m. followed by interment at Notre Dame Cemetery and then interement at the Westboro Legion. Godfather to Julie (Lacoursiere) Breton. Sadly missed by Phyllis Lacoursiere (Guy), Bruce Sloan (Shelagh), and many other cousins and friends. In hospital, on Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at the age of 72 years. Helen Margaret Pelland, beloved wife of 54 years to Wesley. Loving mother of Debbie Quinn (Raymond), Brian (Kathy), Glen, Tim, Cindy Embury (Ken), Cathy (Howard) Marshall and Scott (Tammy). Predeceased by a son Allen. Cherished grandma of 22 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Frances Nesbitt, Donna Kalakonis, Gary Pelland, Lynne Boyd, Jeanine Simpson and Kim Mathieu. Predeceased by sisters June Bourne, Betty Leger and Carol Jenczyn. Survived by several nieces and nephews. Much loved Nana of Glen McGregor (Shelley Page), Brian McGregor (Vanessa Vermette ), Sean Stranks (May Leung ), Micheline Picard (Richard Limoges) and Lindsay Picard . Great-grandmother of Cleo, Scarlet, Anaïs and Cayla. Dear sister-in-law of Barbara Mason, Don and Joy Stranks, and Eileen Stranks. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Lovingly remembered for her indomitable spirit, her ageless beauty and her magnificent voice. Thanks to the Doctors, nurses and support staff of 5B Civic Campus. Most beloved son of Dorothy Lesk and the late James Lesk of Renfrew. Wonderful brother to D’Arcy Lesk and his wife Katie, Terry Lesk and his wife Sheila and Sister Brenda Durham. Proud uncle of Allie, J.J. and Amy Lesk and Godfather to Jaclyn Durham. Adored and loved by his fiancé, partner and common-law wife Karen Murray and her children Connor and Chelsea Murray. Perry was a force in our lives who is leaving too soon. He was a patriot, a proud Canadian who served his country for 26 years. He will be missed by his many friends and family. She leaves her son Stuart (Jean) of Comox, B.C., grandchildren Stephen (Samantha) of Bermuda and Kristen of Ferguson Falls, and great grandchildren Samantha and Stuart of Quyon, P.Q. She will be missed by Sandra Mohr of Ottawa, Brenda Greenshield of Quyon, many nieces and nephews and by all those whose lives she touched. On Friday, January 9th, 2009, God took one of His most precious jewels home to be with Jesus. He was surrounded in hospital by loving family members after a short struggle with pulmonary fibrosis and heart failure. He was greatly loved and cherished by his dear wife Evelyn (nee Fitzpatrick) and his devoted daughter Marilyn. He is also survived by one sister Marjorie Manary, sisters and brothers-in-law and several nieces and nephews. Wilf was the most wonderful person you could ever meet, intelligent, compassionate, loving and always generous and caring to all. He will be greatly missed, but we grieve with hope knowing that we one day will see him again in heaven’s portals, a day which we will always be longing for.
