Suddenly as a result of a car accident on Tuesday, September 18th,
2001. In her 51st year. Beloved wife of Phil. Loving mother of Casey. Dear daughter of Doug and Blanche Walton. Dear sister of Douglas Walton Jr. and his wife Katherine, and Leslie Ann and her husband Ricky Legge. Daughter-in-law of the late Joe and Edith Weller. Sister-in-law of Gary and Cindy Weller and the late Bill and his wife Naomi Weller. She will be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews. Friends may call at OSHAWA FUNERAL SERVICE “Thornton Chapel” 847 King St. West (905-721-1234) for visitation on Friday, September 21 st from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 P.M. A Complete Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, September 22nd at 11:00 A.M. Memorial Donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.

Dear father of Kathy McLauchlan and husband Joe, and loving Grandfather of Cindy Kennedy and husband David, Terri McLauchlan and Kate McLauchlan. Predeceased by one sister Alma Ridley. Friends will be received at the W. C. Town Funeral Chapel, 110 Dundas St. E., Whitby on Wednesday, September 19th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Odd Fellows service at 7 pm. Sister of John Tennant and his wife Marg of Hawkestone and Bill Tennant and his wife Mabel of Paris. Sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours. Daughter of the late Herbert and Elizabeth Tennant. Loving mother of MaeEllen (Barry) Clemens, Arlene Mullen, Michael (Genevieve) Gordon, Alana Murphy (Bob Goodman), Mark Cordon (Demaris Smith), Alan (Flo) Gordon and predeceased by her youngest son, Matthew Gordon. Loving step-mother of G. Stephen (Beverly) Hawes and Janet (Nick) Zarycki. She will be greatly missed by her 13 wonderful grandchildren and her dear sister Barbara Bathurst. KARIUNAS, Juanita Matilda -
At Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Sunday, September 16, 2001 in her 72nd year. Juanita, beloved wife of Pranas for almost 50 years. Much loved mother of Leslie, Scott and his wife Susan, and the late Darrell (1954 - 1978). Dear grandmother of Zoe, Carly, Nicholas, Thomas and Olivia. Sister to Geraldine, Gladys, Katherine, Leslie, Doreen and Eileen. Juanita was born in Hubbards, Nova Scotia on October 29, 1929. She moved to Toronto in 1951 and married Pranas in 1952. She had an extensive career in the food services industry. Juanita started as a young waitress at the Royal York Hotel, eventually managing cafeterias in a multitude of locations such as St. Joseph's School for Girls and the OHIP offices in East York. She was also a key member of the Dietician department at Toronto East General Hospital during most of the 1970's. She will ultimately be remembered for her kind heart, culinary delights, exceptional handcrafted garments and her unselfish commitment to her family. Juanita's last years were devoted to volunteer work with St. John the Evangelist Church in Whitby and to her grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the W.C. Town Funeral Chapel, 110 Dundas Street East, Whitby from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Prayers on Tuesday evening at 7:30 p.m. Mass of the Christian Burial will take place at St. John the Evangelist Church (903 Giffard Street, Whitby) on Wednesday, September 19, 2001 at 11 a.m. followed by cremation. In memoriam, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. The family wishes to express their gratitude to all the staff at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, Linda Ames whose loving support will always be remembered and Karen Peacock for being a part of the family.

Loving father of Rosemary and her husband Brian Greenslade, Jackie and her husband Robert Sellan. Loving Poppy to granddaughters Courtney and Caleigh Greenslade, Nicole and Michaella Sellan. Survived by his brother Wilfred Lagace and his wife Betsy. The family of Mr. Lagace will receive friends at the Armstrong Funeral Home, 124 King Street East Oshawa on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the church of St. Joseph The Worker Parish (Mary and Beatrice Sts.) on Thursday, September 20th at 10:30 a.m. Prayers will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday evening at 8 p.m. Memorial donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.

With deep regret, the family announces the sudden death of Kimberly Sue MacLellan (nee Becker), in Whitby, on Sunday, September 16, 2001; much loved daughter of Donna Richards and her husband Mark, Brantford and Dave Becker and his wife Karen, Port Dover; loving mother of Joshua and Sarah and also missed by their father Daryl MacLellan; dear friendof Roman Stanko, Whitby; dear sister of David Becker and his fiancee Jen, Brantford and Stephen Becker, Port Dover; dear step-sister of Amanda and Travis Wintemute, Port Dover and Amanda and Lindsey Richards, Brantford; aunt of Austin, Tyler and Jessica; also missed by aunts, uncles and cousins, her mother-in-law Grace Lickers and Norman and her father-in-law Harold MacLellan and Rita. Kim was employed in social service work in Whitby. The family will receive friends at McCLEISTER FUNERAL HOME NORTH CHAPEL, 495 Park Road North, Brantford, Tuesday 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service in the chapel Thursday, time to be announced. Interment in Mount Hope cemetery. If wished, memorial donations may be made to a trust fund in Kim's memory for Joshua and Sarah.

McGARY, Millicent Mary Everett (Swainson) -
Peacefully, with her family by her side in her 89th year, on Sunday, September 16th, 2001 at Fairview Lodge, Whitby. Beloved wife of the late Floyd McGary. Loving mother of Maxine and her husband Gordon Dine, Harold and his wife Brenda, and Robert and his wife Lois. Proud grandmother of Peter, Judy, Joanna, Deborah, Steven and Paul and great grandmother of Alexander and Angeline, Spencer and Brielle, Laura and Paige. Predeceased by her brother Robert Swainson of Rosseau, Ontario. Friends will be received at W.C. Town Funeral Chapel, 110 Dundas St. East, Whitby on Wednesday, September 19th from 2:00 to 4;00 p.m. and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., with funeral service at All Saints' Anglican Church, 300 Dundas St. West, Whitby on Thursday September 20th at 2;00 p.m. Interment to follow at GROVESIDE cemetery Brooklin.
