Marilyn Downes (Littleboy)
October 24, 1935 - March 3, 2001

Suddenly on March 3, 2001 at the Hamilton General Hospital in her 66th year.

Beloved wife of Lionel for 44 years. Loving mother of Lynn McInnis (Rodney) and Lionel Downes Jr. (Lynn Pinder). Caring grandmother of Rebecca, Amanda, Matthew, Christopher, Jordan & Kennedy. Dear sister of Shirley Hind (Gary) and Brian Littleboy. She will be sadly missed by numerous relatives and friends.

Marilyn was a Leader in Girl Guiding for 43 years. She received the Ontario Award for Guiding and touched the lives of many Girls throughout her life time.

The family will receive friends at the DODSWORTH & BROWN Funeral Home "ROBINSON CHAPEL" (King Street East at Wellington) on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at St. Joseph s Church 260 Herkimer St. on Wednesday March 7, 2001 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.

As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Ruth Forden Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

John Lewis Vaughan
January 6, 1932 - March 2, 2001

Suddenly on March 2, 2001 at the St. Joseph s Hospital in his 70th year. Beloved husband of Dianne for 40 years.

Loving father of John (Laurie), Jim , Frank (Reny), Ken, Beverly Anne (Peter). Loving Poppie to Keosha, Michelle and John Charles. Dear brother of Irene Wallace (Francis), Harrison Vaughan (Dora), Gerald Vaughan (Shirley) and the late Stan and Donald Vaughan. He will be sadly missed by many relatives and friends.

John retired from the International Labour Union Local 837 after 35 years of service as a construction worker.

Mr. Vaughan is at the DODSWORTH & BROWN Funeral Home "ROBINSON CHAPEL" (King St. East at Wellington) where the family will receive friends on Monday From 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday March 6, 2001 at 11 a.m. from the Robinson Chapel. Interment will follow at Woodland cemetery.

As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Charity of your Choice would be appreciated by the family.

Jean Violet Duckett
March 4, 1942 - October 7, 2001

After a courageous battle with cancer at St.Peter s Hospital on Sunday, October 7, 2001, Jean Duckett in her 60th year. Beloved wife of Les Duckett. Dear mother of Tina, Tracey, Linda, and Norman. Will be sadly missed by her 5 grandchildren. Remembered by her 8 sisters and 6 brothers. Also remembered by her nieces, nephews, other family members and her special friends. Jean attended West Highland Baptist Church. Special thanks to the staff of St. Peter's Hospital on 2 West, the nurses and doctors at the Regional Cancer Centre and the V.O.N. Jean is at the DODSWORTH & BROWN Funeral Home, ROBINSON CHAPEL (King Street East at Wellington ) on Wednesday 7-9 p.m. and Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.. Funeral service at West Highland Baptist Church (1605 Garth Street) on Friday at 1 p.m.. Interment in Woodland cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial tributes to the Regional Cancer Centre would be gratefully appreciated.

John Miller McFarlane
September 17, 1913 - October 9, 2001

Suddenly on Tuesday October 9, 2001 at Versa Care Nursing Home in his 89th year. Loving husband of the late Myrtle for 46 years. Cherished father of Jean Kaczmarczyk (Son in-law Ernie). Forever remembered by his grandson John. Dear great-grandfather of Melodie Leigh.

A graveside service will be held at White Chapel Memorial Gardens (1895 Main St. West, Hamilton) on Monday October 15, 2001 at 2 pm. Arrangements entrusted to the DODSWORTH & BROWN Funeral Home Robinson Chapel .

Winnifred May Hasler
June 1, 1928 - October 21, 2001

Suddenly at the Hamilton General Hospital on October 21, 2001 in her 74th year. Loving mother of James (Ted) Wren, Charles Milson (Fiance Nancy), Carol Szalay (Joe), Susan Dutton (John) and George. Dear grandmother of Diana, Carrie, Jennifer, Jimmy, Danny, Tyler, Kristi and Joey. Also survived by her brother Charles (Sonny) Wren (Shirley). Mrs. Hasler is at the DODSWORTH & BROWN Funeral Home ROBINSON CHAPEL on Tuesday from 7- 9 pm. Funeral Service from the Robinson Chapel on Wednesday October 24, 2001 at 1 pm. Cremation. TRUCKEL, Annie - Peacefully at Versa Care on Saturday August 25, 2001, Annie Truckel in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late Albert Truckel. Dear mother of Norman and his wife Guisella, John and his late wife Shirley, George and his wife Jean and Robert and his wife Barbara. Remembered by her 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She is survived by her sisters Ruth and Margaret and brother Peter. Richard W. Lee
October 11, 1921 - September 11, 2001

Beloved husband of Sarah (nee Loh), loving father of Sally and Karen Lee, dear grandfather of Cosmo Lee Wong. Brother of Lily Hoo, Roy Lee and his wife Lois and Rose Hines. Also survived by nephew Russell Lee and many other nieces and nephews.

passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2001. Mr. Lee was born and raised in Hamilton, a member of First-Pilgrim United Church, and employed as an engineer at Proctor and Gamble for 35 years.

Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at the DODSWORTH & BROWN Funeral Home, ROBINSON CHAPEL (King Street East at Wellington) on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service from First-Pilgrim United Church (200 Main Street East, Hamilton) on Friday at 2 p.m. with visitation one hour prior. Mr. Lee will be interred in Woodland cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes to the Canadian Cancer Research Society would be appreciated by the family.

Olive Maud Blair (nee Widdup)
September 1, 1910 - August 5, 2001

Peacefully at the Riviera Retirement Lodge, Caledonia, on Sunday August 5, 2001, in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late John Paterson Blair and cherished mother of David (and Barbara), Frances (and Wayne), Ross (and Donna). Beloved grandmother of Russell, Julie, Joe, Katie, Christine and Brenda and great-grandmother of Amanda, Aisha, Adam, Dana and Caroline. Dear sister-in-law of Vi Blair, Janet Blair, Barbara Walker and Margaret Widdup. Olive was predeceased by her parents Charles and Margaret Widdup, step-mother Elizabeth, sister Clara Baxter, and brothers Clifford and Martin. Mom was cared for by the staff of the Riviera with love and great gentleness and we thank them and Diana and Lori at St. Elizabeth Nursing. Mom was a lifelong member of James Street Baptist Church, baptized in May, 1926 and she and dad were married there on March 14, 1940. Visitation at DODSWORTH & BROWN Funeral Home, ROBINSON CHAPEL (King Street East at Wellington 905-522-2496) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Tuesday August 7, 2001. Funeral service to take place at James Street Baptist Church, 96 James Street South (southwest corner of James and Jackson Streets) at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, August 8, 2001. Memorial donation to James Street Baptist Church would be appreciated.

Mary Lorenz
December 31, 1912 - May 4, 2001

At the Hamilton General Hospital on Friday May 4, 2001. Beloved wife of the Late George Lorenz, dear mother of Elizabeth, Ingeborg and George. Predeceased by her brother George Koch. Sadly missed by many family members and friends. Faithful and longtime member of St. John s Lutheran Church, very active in the Ladies Group and a member of the German Canadian Benevolent Society of Hamilton. Mrs. Lorenz is at the DODSWORTH & BROWN Funeral Home, ROBINSON CHAPEL (King Street East at Wellington) on Sunday from 7 - 9 p.m. and Monday 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral Service from St. John s Lutheran Church (104 Hughson Street North) on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Interment in Holy Sepulchre cemetery. Peacefully, at St. Peter s Hospital, on Monday June 11, 2001, Jack Zourntos in his 75th year. Beloved husband of Xanthi. Dear father of Peter and his wife Anna, John and his wife Rula, Christine and her husband George Hatzis, and Nick and his wife Athina. Loved grandfather of Zacharias Jerry , Stephanie, Jamie, Alexandra, Eva, Christopher, Xanthi, Alex and Xanthi. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.
