ARNOLD, Marian Olive - On Wednesday, June 6th, 2001, at Linhaven, in her 81st year. Survived by her niece Pat (Robin) Hart, and nephew Peter Arnold. Great aunt to Justina, Jonathan, Nicholas, Michael and Nigel. Predeceased by her brother Ken (Muff). Marian will be missed by many friends and especially her cousin Dr. Sylvia Paulin of England. Marian was an active member of St. Paul Street United Church. Cremation has taken place. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street. A Memorial Service to celebrate Marian's life will be held at St. Paul Street United Church on Monday, June 18th at 1 p.m. If so desired, donations to St. Paul Street United Church would be appreciated by the family.

CLARKSON, (John) Stewart - Suddenly on Thursday, June 7, 2001 at the St. Joseph's Hospital (Hamilton), in his 55th year. Beloved husband of Joyce Clarkson. Dear father of Paula and her husband Daniel Jolly, Lesley Scott and Dayle Clarkson. Loving Papa of Jason, Shaun and Krista. Survived by his mother Janet Clarkson, brother David (Betty), Ronald (Maureen), Sinclair (Brenda), Raymond, Alistair (Mary) and Billy (Judy). Dear brother-in-law of Kenneth (Ramona), Ian (Sandra) McDonald and Ian Dale. Fondly remembered by many nephews, nieces and close friends. Predeceased by his father David and his sister Moira Dale. The family will receive friends at THE HULSE & ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL, 75 Church Street (905-684-6346) on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place in St. Giles Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, June 12, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Victoria Lawn cemetery. FRY, Joan Elizabeth - Wednesday, June 6, 2001 at Toronto. Wife of the late Edmund Botterell Fry of Montreal, daughter of the late Dr. H.C. (Harry) and Ethel (nee Wright) Griffith, beloved sister of the late Reverend A.H. Griffith of Toronto. Stepmother of Edmund Fry and his wife, Susan, of Glen Williams; dear aunt of Richard Griffith of Toronto, Hugh Griffith of Richmond, B.C. and John Griffith of Calgary. Memorial service to be held Monday, June 11, 4:00 p.m. at Bishop Strachan School, 298 Lonsdale Rd., Toronto. Joan was headmistress at B.S.S. in the late 1940's and early 1950's. A woman of humour, energy and great intellect, she was an avid sportswoman all her life and never ceased to be interested in the progress of B.S.S., of Ridley College, and of Trinity College. Last week, Joan was inducted into the Sports Hall of Fame at the University of Toronto, for her participation in basketball, diving, tennis, badminton, skiing and, especially, ice hockey. She was the "Shining Star" of the St. Hilda's College hockey team in the early 40's. Joan attended the ceremony at the university on May 31, and was thrilled to be so honoured. MOLEN, Joseph (Joe) - Suddenly, on Friday, June 8, 2001, Joseph (Joe) Molen of Niagara Falls, at the age of 44. Loving husband of Joanne Molen. Cherished father of Justine and Evan Molen. Dearly loved son of Joseph and Bernice Molen. Beloved brother of Patrick (Caroline) Molen and Debbie Molen of Fort Erie, Mike (Teresa) Molen of New Brunswick, and Kerry (Heather) Molen of London. Dear step-son of Joseph Cundari and Helen Kovach and son-in-law of Joseph Kovach. Dear brother-in-law of Joseph Kovach and Lou and Debbie Courchaine. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Joe had worked at Oneida as the plant engineer for 20 years and was currently the supervisor of maintenance for Niagara College. Joe will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his many friends at the Greater Niagara Boat Club, where he was a member. He was also an avid sportsman and had played rugby for the Niagara Wasps and currently with the Niagara Vintage Rugby Football Club. Friends are invited to call at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St., visiting Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday at 1:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church. Interment will follow at Fairview cemetery at a later date. In memory of Joe, donations to a trust fund for his children would be appreciated by his family.

MOURADIAN, Florence Teresa Bernadette - On Thursday, June 7, 2001, at the Hotel Dieu Hospital, Florence Mouradian in her 76th year. Beloved wife of the late Johnny Mouradian Sr. (1986). Dear mother of Fran, Johnny and Donna. Loving grandmother of Shane and Trevor McConnery, Amber and Taylor Faranicci, Jordin and Brodi Mouradian. Great-grandmother of Bradley, Kimberley and Wesley McConnery. Beloved sister of Doloras DeNapoli, Norma Arrowsmith and Walter Hall. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Florence resided at Chateau Gardens in Niagara-on-the-Lake for the past two years. A special thanks to the staff at Chateau Gardens, Hotel Dieu Hospital and the St. Catharines General Hospital. Mrs. Mouradian rested at the DOWNTOWN CHAPEL of BUTLER FUNERAL HOME, 33 Duke Street at James (behind the Court House). Funeral Liturgy without Mass was celebrated in the Chapel followed by Committal at Victoria Lawn cemetery. POULSEN, Tonny (Tony) - Suddenly on Thursday, June 7, 2001 at Greater Niagara General Hospital, Tonny Poulsen 63 years of age; beloved husband of Jo Ann, loving father of David, Ronald, and Hannah, dear grandfather of six grandchildren, loved brother and best friend of his sister Anne (Kurt) Engstrom, Ruth (Bob) Berge, Allan Poulsen, and Henry Poulson of Denmark, loved uncle of many nieces and nephew, dear brother-in-law to Stan and Linda Catalano. Will be missed by his cherished pets Sam and Samantha. Mr. Poulsen was a Firefighter with the St. Catharines Fire Department for 30 years retiring in 1993. Cremation has taken place. BULL, FREDERICK G. - On Easter Sunday, April 15, 2001, at the Greater Niagara General Hospital. Frederick G. Bull, beloved husband of the late Eleanor J. (Bialy) Bull (1995); devoted father and grandfather of Michele Balogh and her daughter Marissa, Fred, David, his wife Mary and their children, Amanda and Tyler, and Mary, all of Calgary. Fred is also predeceased by his parents, Reginald and Nellie Bull, and his sister Ann Caston. He is also survived by his niece and nephews, Carmel Caston and her family, Andrew Caston and his wife Marion and their family, and Chris Caston and his wife Sheri, his brother-in-law, Ron Caston, and his sisters-in-law, Clare Bialy, Niagara Falls, N.Y., and Adele and her husband George McGrath and their family, Lewiston, N.Y. Fred, born in St. Catharines, was a graduate of the University of Toronto and Middlebury College in Vermont, and received his Masters Degree in Languages at the Sorbonne in France. He taught at Niagara University, Niagara Falls, N.Y. with the majority of his career at Stamford Collegiate, Niagara Falls as a teacher of languages. He also acted as department head and Co-ordinator of Modern Languages for Ontario. Many students and friends will remember his dedication and passion as a teacher, which extended to leading student trips to Quebec and Europe. This love of travel and learning continued throughout his life. A man of great compassion and strength with a love of life and desire to understand all people. He shared who he was and what he had with those around him. He made a difference. As Fred continues his journey he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered. The family will receive friends at the MORSE & SON CHAPEL of the MORGAN FUNERAL HOMES, 5917 Main Street from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday. The Vigil will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday evening at 8:00 o'clock. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Thomas More Church on Thursday morning at 10:30. The Rite of Committal will follow at Fairview cemetery. CZEKAJLO, Wasylina - At the St. Catharines General Hospital on Sunday, April 15, 2001 at 101 years of age. Wasylina was born in the Ukraine and came to St. Catharines in 1950. She was a member of Sts. Cyril & Methodius Church; predeceased by her husband Joseph (June 14, 1965) and her brothers and sisters (all of the Ukraine). She will be sadly missed by her dear friend and neighbour Jenny Stret & her family and Sonia Tomljenovic & family of Beamsville, as well as many friends in the community. Friends will be received at the PATRICK J. DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 39 Court St. (at King) on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Panachyda on Tuesday evening at 8:00 p.m. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at Sts. Babs Farrell, beloved wife of the late George K. Farrell (1991). Loving mother of Peter Farrell and his wife Rhonda of Niagara Falls, Nancy Lauder and Brian Ferguson of Niagara Falls, Barbara Farrell-Nicale and her husband Dino of St. Catharines, and George "Lindsay" Farrell and his wife Glynis of Niagara Falls. Loving grandma of Kelly and Samantha Farrell, Jesse Lauder, Carla and Julian Nicale, and Lindsay, Erik and Katie Farrell. Sister of Kenneth H. Lindsay and his wife Norma. She is predeceased by her daughter Pamela Emily Farrell. Mrs. Farrell was a member of Chippawa Presbyterian Church and the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario. She will be fondly remembered by many dear friends. Mrs. Farrell is at the MORSE AND SON CHAPEL of the MORGAN FUNERAL HOMES, 5917 Main Street, Niagara Falls, where her family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Thursday morning at 11 o'clock at Chippawa Presbyterian Church, Willoughby Drive.
