MELTON

At the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Friday, November 19th, 1999. Philip E. Melton of St. Thomas and formerly of R.R.#6 Aylmer, in his 87th year. Beloved husband of Mrs. Anna Pearl (Teetzel) Melton and dearly loved father of Harold and his wife Lorraine Melton, Norwich; Janet and her husband Jack Lebold, Woodstock and Jean and her husband Bill McKay, St. Thomas. Dear brother of Marian E. "Pat" Summersfield, Jo Clayton and Bill Melton all of England. Predeceased by a brother Reginald and by two sisters Nancy Kirk and Betty Franiel. Philip is also lovingly remembered by six grandchildren Chris and Daryle Perrin, Jeff Lebold, Dianne Beasley, Robin Duncanson and Tim Melton, by four great grandchildren Amanda and Matthew Lebold, Meghan Beasley and Sean Philip Peron and by a number of nieces and nephews. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas where funeral service will be held Monday at 1:00 p.m. Interment Aylmer cemetery. Visitation Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the Alzheimers Society or the Canadian Cancer Society. A donation will be made to the Memory Garden in Remembrance of Philip.

Butler

Margaret of St. Thomas, on Friday, October 29, 1999, at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in her 78th year. Beloved wife of Robert Butler and dearly loved mother of Robert Jr. and his wife Linda Butler of London, Michael and his wife Nancy Butler of St. Thomas, John and his wife Kathy Butler of Winnipeg, Maureen and her husband Paul Graham of St. Thomas and Mary Ellen and her husband David Crocker of St. Thomas. Dear sister of Anna Leddy of St. Thomas, Agnes Gilmour of St. Thomas, Theresa and her husband Wilfred Keelen of British Columbia, James and his wife Phyllis Haylow of St. Thomas and Wilfred Haylow of London. Sadly missed by 11 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., ST. Thomas until Tuesday morning and then to Holy Angels' Church where Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment Holy Angels' cemetery. Visitation Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers will be recited at the funeral home on Monday evening at 7:30 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the charity of choice. A donation will be made to the Memory Gardens of Pinafore Park in remembrance of Margaret.

HAMZE

Mahmoud Michael Hamze of St. Thomas passed away on August 12, 1999 in his 24th year. Born November 14, 1974, he was working as a Civil Engineer with Armbro Engineering in Brampton, Ontario. Graduated Queen's University in Kingston with Honours in Civil Engineering in 1997. He was formerly a graduate of Central Elgin Collegiate Institute in St. Thomas. Dear and cherished son of Mohamad and Jamal Hamze and loved brother of Hassan Hamze.
Michael,
You left us at the dawn of your life, your love kept us warm always and your smiling face, like the sun, shines in our hearts. You will be missed by all, but we will cherish your memory and your loving, gentle and kind ways. You will always be alive within us, an inspiration. Your loving family and friends.
Visitation is unknown at the present time. He will be resting at the Needham Funeral Home in London, 522 Dundas Street. Call the family at 631-4093 and ask Linda for details.

COOK

At the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Friday, August 13th, 1999. George Cook of Metcalfe Gardens, St. Thomas in his 73rd year. Husband of Jean Cook and dear father of Tom Cook, St. Thomas; Sandra Paton, St. Thomas; Mike Cook and friend Lisa, St. Thomas; Gerry and Lori Holden, St. Thomas and the late Evelyn Stinson. Dear brother of Janet and her husband John Arnold, St. Thomas; David and his wife Jean Cook, Springfield; Ethel Nicholson, St. Thomas, St. Thomas; Edna and her husband Bill Davis, Toronto; Don Cook and partner Pat, Welland. Predeceased by a sister Lena and by two brothers Sydneyand Ed "Tom" Cook. George is also lovingly remembered by a number of grandchildren, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas where funeral service will be held Monday at 1:00 p.m. Interment South Park cemetery. Visitation Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Legion service will be conducted at the funeral home Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m. by the Officers and Members of Branch #41 of the Royal Canadian Legion. Remembrances may be made to the Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. A tree will be planted as a Living Memorial to George.

The Interment of Edith Elizabeth "Betty" Proud (Crandell) will take place at Union cemetery , Union, Ontario on Saturday, August 21, 1999 at 10:00 a.m. The family of Betty would like to invite relatives and friends to 420 Wellington St. (Common Room), St. Thomas for a time of fellowship following the interment. Memorial Funeral Home, London (452-3770) in care of arrangements.
