Jean (Lawrence) Parkins of Extendicare, Port Stanley and formerly of St. Thomas, wife of the late Ronald Parkins (Aug. 10, 1994), in her 75th year. Mother of Bill Parkins and partner Jo Darbishire of St. Thomas, Holly Jean Rycroft and her husband Bruce of Shedden and Ronald M. Parkins and his wife Valerie of R.R.#2, Staffa. Grandmother of Ben Parkins and partner Shannon Burnke of Poplar Hill, Joel Parkins and his wife Tessica of London, Gaelen Minhinnick of R.R.#2, Staffa, Samuel Lawrence Rycroft and Chloe Helen Rycroft, both of Shedden. Great-grandmother of Ben and Zack Parkins. Sister of Helen Mathewson of Brantford, Susie Rowe and her husband George of St. Thomas, Shirley Bradley and her husband Guy of the Bahamas, Myrtle Zylstra and her husband Murray of B.C., William C. Lawrence and his wife Lorrain of St. Thomas and Gus C. Lawrence and his wife Betty Ann of Cambridge. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. At the request of Mrs. Parkins, there will be no public visitation or service at the funeral home. Following cremation, a public graveside service will be held at the Soldier's Plot of South Park cemetery , St. Thomas on Wednesday, January 12, 2000 at 3:30 p.m. Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario, Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, or Extendicare Residents Council gratefully acknowledged. Beloved husband of Jean (Caldwell) Smith and dearly loved father of Michael and his wife Kathy Smith of St. Thomas, Deborah and her husband Doug Thompson of London, Richard and his wife Paula of St. Thomas, Cheryl and her husband Drew Clinton of Glendale, Arizona, Randy and Mark Smith, both of St. Thomas. Wood - Peacefully, at Parkwood Hospital, London on Thursday, January 6, 2000. J Gordon Wood of St. Thomas, beloved husband of almost 60 years to Mrs. Ruth (Spearman) Wood, in his 85th year. Much loved father of Gordon Wood and his wife Carmen of St. Thomas and Mrs. Nancy Wright and her husband George of Woodstock. Cherished grandfather of Gordon and Alanna Wood of St. Thomas and Ryan and Anne Wright of Woodstock. Dear brother of Mrs. Kathleen Fitzallen and her husband Jack and George Wood and his wife Audrey, all of London. Also surviving are sisters-in-law, Mrs. Doris Moss and Mrs. Betty Spearman, both of London and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas on Sunday afternoon from 2-4 p.m. where the funeral service will be conducted Monday at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Elmdale Memorial Park, St. Thomas. Dearly loved father of Edward and his wife Susan Zywczok, St.Thomas; Katherine and her husband Eric Johnson, Ottawa and Nancy and her husband Tim Kritzer, Dutton. Loved grandfather of Melanie, Melissa, Matthew, Amanda, Emily, David, Esther, Isaac and Hannah. Frank is also lovingly remembered by a number of family in Poland.
