Beloved husband of Anne (Kovacs) Hepburn and dearly loved father of Beverley and her husband Terry Sharp of St. Thomas and Patricia and her husband Mike Vandevenne of Union. Loved grandfather of Paul, Scott and Trisca Weskett, Sarah Vandevenne and her fiance Shawn Paul, Caren and James Vandevenne and dear great grandfather of Zachery and Alexandra. Dear brother of Geraldine Antcliffe of St. Thomas, Nettie Campbell of New Sarum, Freda and her husband Alec McGregor of St. Thomas, Lyle and his wife Gwen Hepburn of St. Thomas, Norma and her husband Bert McCallum of Aylmer and John and his wife Barbara Hepburn of New Sarum. Predeceased by a brother Neil and a sister Amy Cox and by a brother-in-law Martin Kovacs. Dear brother-in-law of Margaret Campbell of B.C. and Irene and her husband Joe Kerekes of London. LOSSING - Peacefully, at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Wednesday, February 23, 2000. Mrs. Lillian (Theobold) Lossing, Reg. N. of St. Thomas, in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late Louis L. "Lou" Lossing (Nov. 9, 1956). Dearly loved sister of Mrs. Marjorie Sullivan and her husband John of R.R.#2, Boylston, N.S. and Mrs. Barbara Lively and her husband Gilbert of R.R.#4, Aylmer. Also lovingly remembered by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. McCANDLESS - While on a trip to Ireland, Ruth Mary McCandless (Kember), peacefully went home to be with her Lord and Saviour on her 77th birthday, February 22. Survived by husband Allen of 605 S. Washington St., Garnavillo, IA 52049-8036. Mother of Murray and Shirley McCandless of Sussex, N.B.; Tim and Betty McCandless of Parkersburg, IA; Esther and John Kregel of Garnavillo, IA; Jim and Diva McCandless of Hickory, N.C.; Mary and David Zuidema of Midland Park, N.J. and Rachel and Andrew Ussher of Richmond Hill, Ontario. Survived by 21 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; 4 brothers, Timothy, David, Shad and Jonathan Kember and 3 sisters, Margaret Brewster, Mary Prins and Martha Kember. Predeceased by daughter Rhoda, granddaughter Olivia Zuidema, brothers Walter and John Kember and sister Lois Hooper. Ruth will be greatly missed.
