FINDLATER, Nicol Hilbert Peacefully at Extendicare/Kingston on July 4, 2000 in his 87th year, Nicol H. Findlater, born in Hamilton, Ontario. Sadly missed by children, Ross (Sue) of Whitehorse YT, Carol Gestwicki (Ron) of Charlotte, NC and Nancy Cutway (Steve) of Kingston. Also mourned by 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Funeral in Hamilton to be arranged, followed by interment in Whitechapel Memorial Gardens beside his late wife Margaret. Nic's family would like to thank all the staff at Extendicare Kingston for their loving and devoted care during the three years he was with them. Memorial donations to the Volunteer Services of Extendicare Kingston or the CNIB Kingston District Office would be gratefully acknowledged. 038644

Survived by 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the McConnell Funeral Home, Tweed from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday. ABELL, George Walter Peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family at Hastings Manor, Belleville on Wednesday, December 6, 2000, in his 85th year. George Abell, loving husband of Christine for over 57 years; father of Susan, Marion, Richard (Rosemary) and Carol. Loved grandfather of Jim (Jenn) and Sarah Reid; Jennifer and Matthew Abell; David, Amanda, Vanessa and Tamara Galea. Brother of Helen and Bob (Anne). Veteran of WW II and Korea, career soldier (RCEME) and longtime Sun Life Assurance Co. of Canada agent in Kingston and Belleville. A true gentleman and fisherman who greatly appreciated nature and this beautiful country, Canada. We will miss his warmth, humour and love. Resting at James Reid Funeral Home, Cataraqui Chapel (Counter Street at Highway No. 2). Friends will be received on Friday from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Saturday, December 9, 2000 at 1 p.m. Interment Cataraqui cemetery.
