Loving Opa of Nikolas Kurt Skaleski-Horacek. Friend of Marnie Skaleski (mother of Nikolas). Visiting at Marcotte Funeral Home and Chapel, 12105 Tecumseh Rd. East, Tecumseh, on Tuesday from 2-4, and 7 till time of service at 8:30. Cremation Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Survived by her sister Marjorie Sullivan - Winter Park, Florida. Predeceased by sisters Edna McCarthy and Renee Turner. Loving mother of Gary and his wife Vanessa - Windsor, Maudie and her husband John Adam - Windsor and Mary Beth Odette - Oakville. Loving grandmother of Justin Adam - Vancouver, B.C., Sara and Paul Adam - Windsor, Edmond and Neil Odette - Toronto and Bryan Odette - Oakville. Mrs. McMullen was a past employee of Hallmark Card Store and a member of R.C.L. #578. Loving sister of the late Archie (1957), late Rita (1982), Louise and husband Joseph LaMantia, and Janette and husband Al Couture. Sister-in-law of Virginia Ouellette. Cherished aunt of 12 nieces and nephews, and many great nieces and nephews. Nora was a lifetime member of the C.W.L. and volunteered in the sacristy with Christ the King Church for many years. She retired after many years of service with Sandwich West Town Hall. Visitation will be Monday 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers Monday 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 17, 2001, at 9:45 a.m., from Janisse Brothers Funeral Home, 1139 Ouellette Ave, (253-5225), to Christ the King Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Interment Heavenly Rest cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. The family would like to thank the 4th floor neurological nurses and doctors at Hotel Dieu Hospital for their kindness and understanding. Prior to his retirement, he worked for United Airlines for 36 years. On February 15, 1947, Leon was united in marriage to Carol D. (Erickson) in Windsor, Ontario who survives. Also surviving are 2 sons: Michael (Candace) Donnelly of Rockford, IL and Gregory (Karen) Donnelly of Avon Lake, OH; daughter, Colleen Donnelly of Scotts; 9 grandchildren: Meegan (Nathan) Legue, Shelby, John, Lauren and Patrick Donnelly, Joseph, Meg and Luke Redford and Kristen Donnelly; sister, Theresa (William) Carroll, of Mt. Clemens; 2 sisters-in-law, Marcia Donnelly of Mt. Clemens and Nancy Donnelly of Rochester Hills. Several nieces and nephews. Leon was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Tom, John and Robert. Services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Catherine of Siena Church. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
