Alexander Richard Langston
April 04, 1916 - October 29, 2004

LANGSTON, Alexander passed away very peacefully on October 29, 2004 at the age of 88. Alex was predeceased by his mother & father, wife, Freeda, sister Edith and her husband George Wilks. He is survived by his daughter Doreen, her husband Bentley and their children Dawn and Corey Hilderman; a son Brian, his wife Sherry and their children Tanya and Christopher Langston; a sister Jessie (Lawrence) Annis along with many nieces and nephews. Alex was born on the family farm in the Avonhurst, McLean district on April 4, 1916. During the winter of 1942-43 he became employed at Ajax and Pickering, Ontario building the munitions plants. He farmed with his father until 1945-46 when he started to build his home on his own land. Alex continued to farm this land until his retirement. In 1948 he married Freeda Stewart and had two children Doreen and Brian. Alex was involved in the Avonhurst Co-op and Sask. Wheat Pool for many years. When his children became involved in 4-H, he became a leader. He was a farmer at heart, but was also very handy with doing different jobs for people around the community. Later years he did more woodworking and had a passion for it, leaving his family with many pieces to remember him by. Donations in Alex’s memory may be made to McLean New Hall Fund, Box 1, McLean, SK, S0G 3E0. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East, on Wednesday, November 3, 2004 at 2:00 PM. Arrangements are entrusted to Regina Funeral Home (306-789-8850).

George Murray

MURRAY – George passed away on October 29, 2004 at the Pasqua Hospital. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Barbara; sisters Eveline, Lottie (John), Bonnie (Elmer) and brother Wilfred (Maryanne); mother-in-law Betty; sisters-in-law Shirley (Phil) and Jeannette (Larry) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. George was predeceased by his parents Fred & Angeline Murray, brother Ed, brother-in-law George Christie and father-in-law, Fred Willway. FITTERER – Julia passed away suddenly without suffering on Thursday, October 21, 2004 at the age of 79 years. Julia is predeceased by her parents: Frank and Victoria Voss, and sisters: Helen and Eva. She is survived by her family, daughters Pat (Reg) Malone, Marg (Donald) Langford, Rita Tetz (Paul Wili) and son Bernie Fitterer; grandchildren: Craig (Pat), Cory, Carla (Curtis), Tara(Jamie), Trent(Nina), Tanisha(Aaron), Landon, Braden, Brett, and Bryce. Six Great grandchildren; brothers and sisters Andy Voss, Victoria Hingston, Margaret (Peter) Kaytor, John (Hazel) Voss, Frank (Cecile) Voss, Mary (Ivan) Hill, plus numerous nieces and nephews and their families. Peter Christian Fink

FINK, PETER of Regina, formerly of Vibank, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Thursday, October 21, 2004 at the age of 84. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Magdalena, his brothers John and Bill, and sister Caroline. He is survived by his wife and best friend of 57 years, Emelia; his children, Diane (Jim) Klein, Terry (Yvonne), Jim (Lynn), Neil (Anna-Jean), and Connie (Harvey) Murray; fifteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his brothers, Alex (Blanche) and Arnold (Lorraine); sister, Mary Fisher; and sisters-in-law Yvonne Trach, Alena Selinger, Eliza Herle, and Kay Herle. Peter was born on November 19, 1919 in Vibank, Saskatchewan. Peter was a gifted and loved teacher. His career started in 1940 and he taught for over 35 years. He inspired students in numerous schools throughout Saskatchewan. A PRAYER SERVICE will be held at Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East on Sunday, October 24, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. A MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be held at St. Paul’s R.C. Church, Vibank, Sask. on Monday, October 25, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. with interment to follow at St. Paul’s Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre St., Regina, SK S4P 2R3. Peter's family would like to extend heartfelt appreciation to Pasqua Palliative Care for the outstanding service and support shown during this difficult time. Blake Gilbert Lincoln Vance
June 29, 1964 - October 20, 2004

VANCE – Blake Gilbert Lincoln passed away suddenly on Wednesday, October 20, 2004 at the age of 40. Blake is predeceased by his dad, Gilbert, grandparents Ollie and Sam Vance, and Dorothy and Bill Brown. He is survived by his mom Edie Vance, he was a loving father to his son James (Laura Robson) and grandson Kaden. His sister De-Anna (Barry) Bailey, nieces Marissa and Lisa. His extended family includes Carla and Billy Ambler and daughter Jasmine, Terri and Greg Whittle, Leslee and Neil Clark and Lesa and Brad Ewen, Norma and Dale Dean and family, Brian, Joyce and Counce Brampton. His very special friends Maureen and Ryley Schaefer, Dave Todorovich, Terry Paun, Frank Menties, Craig Schnell, Dawn Dallyn, Conrad Schneider, Terri Wilkinson and Dan Kesslering. Blake was born on June 29, 1964 in Regina. He attended R.J. Davidson and Thom Collegiate, graduating in1982. Blake went on to become a dedicated Iron Worker of Local 771, where he enjoyed numerous years at this trade developing many life long friends. His work took him from across Canada to Barbados ending up in Yorkton. Blake also belonged to the BoilersMakers Union 146 as well as IATSE Union. He traveled across North America, working many concerts as a “rigger”. This allowed him to follow his passion of music. Blake was an avid guitar player and was learning to play the drums. Blake had a life long interest in motorcycles. He could be seen riding his Harley to many job sites as well as “watering establishments” with guitar in hand. Blake will be forever remembered for his big heart and huge smile. A VISITATION for friends and family will be held at Regina Funeral Home Hwy #1 East on Monday, October 25 from 7:30 to 9:00 PM. A CELEBRATION OF LIFE will be held at the Regina Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 26 at 2:00 PM. Flowers gratefully declined. MCLEAN, RUFUS – It is with great sadness the family of Rufus McLean announces his passing on Tuesday, October 26, 2004 at the age of 85. Rufus is survived by his loving wife, Sophie of 54 years; four sons, Claude, Garth, Garnet (Nancy) and Wade; two grandchildren, Amy and Carrie; one brother, Dean (Eva); three sisters, Mavis, Jean (Ian) and Doreen; sister-in-law, Caroline; and brother-in-law, Ruben. He was predeceased by his parents, Grace and Rufus; brothers; Murray and Donald; and sisters, Viola and Iris. MULLEN, BEVERLY CHARLES - It is with great sadness that we announce the accidental passing of Beverley Charles Mullen in his Regina home on Friday, October 15, 2004. He lived his 58 years on the Prairies, mostly in Regina and Lethbridge, where he worked as a journeyman painter. He was an excellent craftsman, a strong supporter of labour unions, and a dreamer at heart. He was preceded by his parents, Hazel and Howard. Left to mourn are his three children: Ginger (Perry), Shawn and Sheri (Bob); new granddaughter, Brigit; brother, Warren; niece, Debby; and nephews, Leslie and Darcy (Serina). KORNUM, KEVIN EDWIN – With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our son, brother and uncle Kevin Edwin Kornum on Thursday, September 16, 2004 in Vancouver, B.C. Kevin was born on May 21, 1964 at Regina, Sask., the youngest child born to Edwin and Deanna Kornum. Kevin made his home with his Mom and Dad at Copper Sands and traveled to and from Vancouver for employment for the past fifteen years. Kevin enjoyed and loved a lot and above all, he loved his Dad and cherished his Mother. He had an insurmountable love for his family. Kevin is survived by his mother and father, Deanna and Edwin Kornum of Copper Sands, Sask.; his brother, Arlie (Norine) Kornum of Copper Sands, Sask.; sister Cyndi (Robert) Haig of White City, Sask.; nephews Chad (Janna), Shane and Bradley Kornum; nieces Deanna, Bobbie-Jen (Todd) Haig, and Lacee (Chris) Heller; and also his special great-nephew and nieces, Dalton, Haylie, Hannah, Avery and Sarah.
