YEREX - Mrs. Reta Mary Mildred Yerex of Strathmore, Alberta was born September 4, 1923 in Craigmyle, Alberta. She was promoted to heaven on October 7, 1997 at the Peter Lougheed Hospital in Calgary. Reta was the only daughter of pioneer homesteaders Norman and Beatrice McRae. She was predeceased by her parents and two older brothers, Stan (Graydon) McRae of New Westminster, B.C., and Harvey McRae of Wetaskiwin. She is survived by her husband of fifty-seven years, Art Yerex of Strathmore; her younger brother Rod McRae of Peace River; her two children, Darcy (Fern) Yerex of Calgary and Retalee (Dennis) Ratzlaff of Surrey, B.C.; five grandchildren, Holly (Lee) Thiessen of Priddis, Darin (Robin) Yerex and Danny Yerex of Calgary, Dana Ratzlaff and Darcy Ratzlaff of Surrey; five great-grandchildren, Brett, Tanner and Paige Thiessen of Priddis, and Odessa and Talena Yerex of Calgary. Funeral Service Saturday, October 11, 1997 at Strathmore Alliance Church at 11:00 a.m., Pastor Darrell Young officiating. Interment Mountain View Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made directly to the Salvation Army (1402 - 8 Avenue N.W., Calgary, T2N 1B9). WHEATLAND FUNERAL HOME LTD. (Strathmore) in care of arrangements. (10/9/1997).

LUKEY - Mr. Peter Lukey of Calgary passed away on Thursday, October 16, 1997 at the Rockyview Hospital at the age of 83 years. Peter is survived by his loving family, his daughter Veronica Corney and husband Ed, and cherished grandchildren, Trent and Tricia; and loving family friend Rose-Marie Manseau, all of Calgary. He is also survived by a sister Anne Auguson of Norquay, Saskatchewan, and a brother Ed Lukey and wife Sylvia of Prince George, B.C. Peter also had a special nephew Orest Lukey and wife Fran of Acme, Alberta, along with other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his daughter Pat in September, 1975 and his wife Kasimira in December, 1986. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Tom Baker Cancer Centre, 1331 - 29 Street N.W., Calgary, AB T2N 4N2 or the charity of your choice. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers at LEYDEN'S "Chapel of Remembrance" (17 Avenue and 2 Street S.W.), on Sunday, October 19, 1997 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church (5430 - 4 Street S.W.) on Monday, October 20, 1997 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. LUMGAIR - Alexander Lumgair passed away at the Agape Manor Hospice on September 29, 1997 at the age of 85 years. Alex is survived by his wife and best friend Esther; daughter Carol and son-in-law Elwin (Woody) Robinson; brother John Lumgair; sisters-in-law, Emily McRoberts, Elinor Lumgair, Violet (Warren) Dunsmoor; brothers-in-law, Joe Danielson, Ed Danielson; and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by longtime friend Frosty Cowie. Alex was predeceased by his sister Jean and brothers, Jimmy and Bill. Funeral Services will be held at FOSTER'S FUNERAL HOMES "Garden Chapel", 3220 - 4 Street N.W. on Saturday, October 4, 1997 at 3:00 p.m. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly at Agape Manor Hospice, 1302 - 8 Avenue N.W., Calgary T2N 1B8 or the charity of the donor's choice. LUNDMARK - Nils Alfred Lundmark of Calgary passed away peacefully at his residence on June 13, 1997 at the age of 94 years. Nils was born on May 24, 1903 in Skelleftea, Sweden. He immigrated to Buchanan, Saskatchewan in 1928. His lifetime trade as well as his hobby was carpentry which he has enjoyed all his life. Nils was an outdoorsman and was an avid fisherman. He will be greatly missed by his loving family. He is survived by his son and two daughters, Martin and Kathy Lundmark of Calgary, Barbara Hilchie of Calgary, Margo and Don Friesen of Canmore; ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Helga on April 20, 1986. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY'S "Chapel of the Bells" (2720 Centre Street North), on Tuesday, June 17, 1997 at 10:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Bethany Lifeline, 1001 - 17 Street N.W., Calgary, AB T2N 2E5. In living memory of Nils Lundmark, at tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES "Chapel of the Bells", 2720 CENTRE STREET NORTH. (6/14/1997).

LUNN - Millisa Elizabeth Lunn passed away at the Southwood Nursing Home on December 16, 1997 at the age of 84 years. She will be sadly missed by her daughters, Mary Lou (Norman) Scott of Calgary, and Jo Anne (Ray) Perell of Fort Langley, B.C.; five grandchildren, Dale, Glen, James, Craig and Sue; and two great-grandchildren. Millisa is also survived by her sister Eve Stokes of Calgary. She was predeceased by her husband Thomas in 1979 and her sister Dorothy. Funeral Services will be held at FOSTER'S GARDEN CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 3220 - 4 Street N.W. on Friday, December 19, 1997 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Queen's Park Cemetery. LUPYPCIW - Wasyl Lupypciw of Calgary, passed away at the Foothills Auxiliary Hospital due to ravages of Parkinson's disease on December 7, 1997 at the age of 77 years, beloved husband of Mrs. Mary Lupypciw, Calgary; dear father of John (Jeanne) Lupypciw Phoenix, Arizona, U.S.A., Michael (Valerie) Lupypciw, Calgary; and dearly beloved grandfather of Dana, Ashley and Caroline. He is also survived by a brother Stefan Lupypciw, Calgary and by nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a brother Ivan Lupypciw in the Ukraine. Wasyl was born in Nizhniv, Ukraine and came to Canada in 1947 to Shumacher, Ontario, where he was employed in the Gold Mines. In 1949 he came to Calgary and resided in Calgary since.He was employed with the City of Calgary for twenty-seven years, until his retirement. He was a member of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church.Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church (704 - 6 St N.E.) this evening at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church on Thursday, December 11, 1997 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Anton Tarasenko, Celebrant.Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Section, Queen's Park Cemetery (3219 - 4 St. N.W.). Arrangements in care of LEYDEN'S FUNERAL HOMES LTD. (12/10/1997).

LUTCHER - Judy (nee Etherington), passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 9, 1997 at the age of 47 years. Her courageous battle with cancer was an inspiration to family and friends alike. Her sense of humour, enthusiasm and verve for life touched the hearts of everyone to the end. Judy will be sadly missed and leaves a very proud family who feel privileged to have been able to share such a wonderful life together. Judy is survived by her beloved husband Larry; children, Doug, Carolyn (Darrel), Kelly (Kerry, Eric and Dylan). She also leaves to mourn her passing her mother Evelyn; sister Pat; brothers, Wayne, Larry, and Keith; sisters-in-law, Shawne, Sandy, Wanda; brother-in-law Rick; nephews, Bill, Ronnie and Chad; nieces, Charlene, Shauna, Jennifer, Shelly, Gloria and Trisha; special friends, Jackie and Jack Mostert. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 16, 1997 at The Forest Lawn International Friendship Church, 1539 - 43 Street S.E., with Reverend Dr. John W. Friesen officiating. Flowers are gratefully declined, if desired, donations may be made in Judy's memory to The Tom Baker Cancer Centre for Research c/o Foothills Hospital Foundation, 1403 - 29 Street N.W., Calgary, Alberta T2N 2T9. The family extend their sincere thanks to the doctors, nurses and other caregivers on Unit 57, Palliative Care Foothills Hospital for the love and care given to Judy during her illness.
