- Shop now for incredible insights into your wellbeing -ISHAK - Fraidoon (Fred) Ishak, beloved husband of Lucy Ishak of Calgary, passed away at the Rockyview General Hospital on Thursday, October 23, 1997 at the age of 75 years. Fred was born Saturday, February 25, 1922 in Karmanshah, Iran. He was an Assyrian, born in Iran, lived most of his life in Iraq and immigrated to Canada in 1977. Fred was a wonderful husband, father and papa. He was friendly and compassionate, always willing to help those who needed him. An avid sports fan, Fred was a popular soccer player in his time. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him. Fred and Lucy were looking forward to celebrating their Golden Wedding Anniversary on November 29. Besides his loving wife, Fred is survived by his three sons and three daughters-in-law, Serkes and Isabel Ibrahim of Brampton, ON, Zaia Abraham and Romy Tittel of Calgary, and Francis and Brenda Ishak of Calgary; his daughter Bernadette Ibrahim of Calgary; as well as three grandchildren, Daniel, Justin and Rebecca Ishak. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Spirit Catholic Church (10827 - 24 Street S.W.), Monday, October 27, 1997 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Timothy Boyle, Celebrant. HUNTER - Mrs. Dorothy Hunter of Forest Grove Care Centre, after suffering a stroke in Peter Lougheed Hospital, went to be with her Lord, Sunday, November 9, 1997, with her son Douglas at her bedside. She is survived by sons, Donald of Red Deer, Alberta, and Robert of Kitimat, B.C., and several grandchildren. Two sisters reside in Calgary, Edna Wells, Myrtle MacLean (John), and a brother Walter Rideout in Edmonton. A Graveside Service will be held at Union Cemetery, 11:00 a.m., November 13 (11/13/1997).
IFFRIG - Jean-Pierre Iffrig, of Calgary, passed away at the Bethany Care Centre on November 25, 1997 at the age of 89 years. Born in Mulhouse, Alsace, France, Jean-Pierre was raised and started his career in the hotel industry, first in Strasbourg, then in Paris. He met his wife-to-be, Frances Hall in his family's hotel in Paris. He immigrated to Montreal and was married there in 1948. Jean-Pierre worked for Cara Food Services, then managed food services for Air Canada at the Dorval, P.Q. base until his retirement in 1973. After his retirement he was a tireless volunteer in soup kitchens and food banks, first in Ottawa and subsequently in Calgary. He was an active member of St. George's Anglican Church in Ottawa before moving to Calgary in 1988. Here in Calgary, he became part of the faith community at St. Stephen's Anglican Church. Jean-Pierre is survived by his three children, Andree Iffrig and her husband Eric Allen of Calgary, Catherine Leroux of Ottawa, and Michael Iffrig of Toronto and companion Kathy LeRoux of Montreal; as well as four grandchildren, Alexander and Michael Leroux of Ottawa, and Heather and James Allen of Calgary. He is also survived by niece Bilkees Latif of Hyderabad, India; nephew Adil Yar Khan of London, UK; seven grandnephews and nieces, and seven great-grandnephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his wife Francis Hall. INGEBERG - Edith Lillian Mae Ingeberg, beloved wife of Albert Ingeberg, both of Duchess, Alberta, passed away on Thursday, July 17, 1997 at the age of 69 years. She also leaves to cherish her memory, three sons, Tom (Elaine) Ingeberg of Langley, B.C., Allan Ingeberg of Calgary, Alberta, Christopher (Cheryl) Ingeberg of Regina, Saskatchewan; two daughters, Fay Henrickson of Edmonton, Alberta, Debra (Dr. Frank) Kautzmann III of Houston, Texas; eleven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hughes. Cremation has taken place at the Medicine Hat Crematorium. The Memorial Service will be held in the Duchess Mennonite Church, 204 - 3 Street East, Duchess, Alberta, on Monday, July 21, 1997 at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Charles Ramer officiating. INGRAM - Mr. David Edward Ingram, beloved husband of Mrs. Aileen Ingram of Calgary, passed away peacefully at his residence on June 16, 1997 at the age of 72 years. Dave was born on April 26, 1925 in London, England and came to Canada in 1954. He was a longtime member of the Teamsters Union Local 362 and retired from Kingsway Freight Lines after many years of service. Besides his loving wife Aileen, he is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, David of Calgary, Michael and Monica of Edmonton; five daughters, Lynn of Belize, Deb, Kelly, Michele and Tammy, all of Calgary; and ten grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister Peggy Turnbull and a brother Dennis Ingram, both of England. INVERARITY - Helen Maxine Lorraine Inverarity passed away at the Foothills Hospital early on Monday, October 27, 1997 at the age of 78 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Lynne (Harry) Willner, granddaughter Shelley (Jason) Clouston and great-grandson Kaden, and grandson Dwayne Willner, all of Indus; sisters and brothers, Charlotte (Bob) Johnston, Marg Ainsley, Bob (Grace) Nelson, Laura (Cal) Huggard, and Ray (Merrill) Nelson; as well as several nieces and nephews. Helen was predeceased by her husband Joe in 1972, her sister and two brothers-in-law, June and Tony North and Ralph Ainsley.
