Margaret was born in Dominion City, Manitoba on January 20, 1923. In 1952 she and her husband Art moved to Calgary where they lived and raised their family. Marg worked for Gulf Canada Resources for nine years until her retirement. She is survived by her son Ross (Sandra Daignault) Anderson of Calgary; daughters, Bev Leche of Vancouver, Nancy (David Glenwright) Anderson of Vancouver, and Pat (Kerry Davies) Anderson of Calgary. Marg is also survived by her six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, one niece and one nephew. She was predeceased by her husband Art in 1996, as well as her parents, four brothers, one sister, and a nephew. Funeral Services will be held at Parkdale United Church, 2919 - 8 Avenue N.W., on Tuesday, December 16, 1997 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Jan Craig officiating. HRUBY - John Hruby of Calgary, passed away suddenly at the Foothills Hospital on November 18, 1997 at the age of 41 years. He was born in Banff and received most of his education in Calgary. John was employed at the Rockyview Hospital. He will be lovingly missed by his family and friends. John is survived by his mother Vera Hruby of Surrey, British Columbia; two sisters, Goldie Bowman of Toronto, Ontario; Jean Brown of Richmond, British Columbia; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his father Steve in 1983. IRVIN - Mr. Thomas L. Irvin, beloved son of Shirley and father of Christopher of Calgary, passed away peacefully at his residence on September 15, 1997 at the age of 43 years. Tom was born on May 14, 1954 in Wetaskiwin, Alberta. He was an avid sportsman who loved fishing, hunting and horseback riding. Tom was a devoted father who was actively involved with Chris' activities as a soccer coach and a cub leader. He was a small business owner who will be sadly missed. He is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Paula Irvin of Sherwood Park; a niece Donica; nephew Sean; and Christopher's mother Reta. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his father Louis Thomas Irvin, September 1, 1993. ANDERSON - Mrs. Edna (Vi) Anderson, beloved wife of Mr. Winston (Buzz) Anderson of Calgary passed away at the Foothills Hospital on June 28, 1997 after a brief battle with cancer at the age of 70 years. Vi was a longtime rural mail lady with Canada Post. She was an avid camper. Besides her loving husband Win of fifty-four years, she will be lovingly remembered by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Belle and Bob Archer, Kathy and Gordon Miller; two grandchildren, Garry and his wife Jerri-Anne and Cory and her husband Scott; three great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Chelsea-Ann and Toni. AMONSON - Susan May Amonson (nee Martin), beloved wife of David Amonson of Calgary, passed away while vacationing in British Columbia on September 15, 1997 after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 52 years. Born and educated in Calgary, Susan resided here all of her life. After graduating from Mount Royal College she worked at Century Geophysical and IBM, and later taught computer courses at Mobil Oil. In 1989 she joined her husband David in his accounting firm. Susan enjoyed travelling, needle craft, and being with people; but she especially enjoyed dinners with family and friends. Besides her loving husband, Susan is survived by two daughters, Lisa and Lori; her parents, Bill and Edna Martin; sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Dan Shannon; and two nephews, Greg and Chris, all of Calgary. She is also survived by Dave's family and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
