She is survived by her loving husband Bill; two sons, Richard of Edmonton, and Brian of Calgary; and several nieces and nephews who knew Ginny as a "special" aunt. Virginia was predeceased by her parents, Ernie and Meda Bell and sister Kay Hilton. Ginny was born and raised in Shepherd, Alberta until she moved to Calgary to attend Central Collegiate Institute. Lived briefly in Edmonton, Red Deer and Ottawa and recently retired from Wernick & Co., Real Estate Appraisers. Special appreciation for their kindness and care to Home Care nurses, Carol Boyer and Fern Fast. A Memorial Service will be held at FOSTER'S FUNERAL HOME, 3220 - 4 Street N.W., on Thursday, November 6, 1997 at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Garry Pearce officiating. KELLY - Joseph "Bernie" Kelly died suddenly while playing golf on Tuesday, July 15, 1997 at the age of 70 years. He is survived by his children, Graham (Susan) Kelly, Cheryl (Donald) Jones, all of Calgary, and Barb (Gary) Clement of Donalda, Alberta. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and one great-grandson as well as many other family members and dear friends. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the Chapel of Pierson's Funeral Home, 4121 - 17 Avenue S.E. on Saturday, July 19, 1997 at 11:00 a.m. Flowers are gratefully declined. EKENCRANTZ - Jordin Ekencrantz passed away peacefully at the Alberta Children's Hospital on Friday, November 7, 1997 at the age of 5 years. Jordin was surrounded by his family and friends during his final hours. He will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by his mother Tracy Ekencrantz; his family and many extended family members, "The girls" of N cluster; and everyone with whom he has been in contact with in the last five years at Alberta Children's Hospital. A special thank you to everyone who gave their love and support for the past two months. Your love and caring has not gone unnoticed. A Celebration of Jordin's Life will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 13, at Centre Street Church, 4120 Centre Street North with Reverend Albert Lieske officiating. ELHORN - Helen Mary Elhorn passed away peacefully September 8, 1997 at the Forest Grove Care Centre. Helen was born at Champion, Alberta in 1912. Helen will be lovingly remembered by her sisters, Gladys MacKenzie, Margaret Moss and Phyllis Ingram; brothers, Alvin Elhorn, Harry (Jess) Elhorn and Noval Elhorn; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. ELLIOT - Viola Elliot passed away at the Foothills Hospital on December 1, 1997 at the age of 79 years, beloved mother of Neil (Kerry), Ted (Karen) of Calgary and Bill of Edmonton. She is also survived by four grandchildren; her sister Rachel (Jim) Ray; niece Susan Cameron; and numerous other nieces and nephews. Viola was predeceased by her husband Lee in 1982. No Services will be held. A private family gathering will be held at the home of Neil and Kerry Elliot this evening. ENGEL - Fred W. Engel passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 14, 1997 at the Peter Lougheed Centre at the age of 88 years. Fred is survived by his loving family, two sons, Richard (Faye) of Airdrie, Garth of Fairmont, B.C. and daughter Kay (Bud) Hurl of Calgary; as well as six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Gordon of Victoria, B.C. Fred was predeceased by his wife Marguerite; grandson Warren; and great-grandson Kieran. Fred was a long time employee of the Calgary Herald until his retirement. Private Family services are being held with interment in Rocky View Garden of Peace Cemetery. FANDREY - Alma (nee Klinner) Fandrey passed away November 20, 1997 at the age of 83 years. She was born in Bialablota, Poland in 1914 and emigrated to Canada in 1950, settling in Medicine Hat, Alberta. She moved to Calgary in 1992. For many years Mrs. Fandrey was actively involved in the Ladies Aide Group of St. Paul Church in Medicine Hat. Alma will be lovingly remembered by her husband of forty-seven years, Otto; and her daughter Gerda Harrity; two sisters, Elsa Radke and Erna Wahl; and numerous other relatives. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation for the loving care and support provided by the Second Floor Staff at Sarcee Auxiliary Hospital. He will be lovingly missed by his daughter Deanna; sister Susan; brother Karl (Nancy); mother Lenore; grandfather Archie Baldwin; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Predeceased by his father Horst. JENSEN - Mrs. Edna Anina Jensen of Calgary, passed away at the Bow Crest Nursing Home on Wednesday, November 19, 1997 at the age of 86 years. Edna was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother and will always be remembered with great affection. She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Elmer and Claire of Calgary, Stan and Marg of Red Deer, Eddy and Lis of Denmark; and a daughter and son-in-law, Doris and Roy Klatt of Calgary; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Wilfred and Selma Westergaard of Red Deer, and Elmer and Val Westergaard of Dickson; and a sister Jenny Thompson of Red Deer. She was predeceased by her husband Laurits in 1980. Funeral Services will be held at the Danish Lutheran Church (130 - 32 Avenue N.W.), on Monday, November 24, 1997 at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev.
